Rebirth: Top Actress, Your Big Shot Husband is Jealous Again!
Chapter 1042
Mason Bennett had originally meant to take Bella Green straight home.
Seeing her like this, Mason was worried a thousand different ways.
If they went home, with Grandma and Bellamy Homes keeping her company, Bella might feel a bit better.
But Bella insisted on going back to the crew.
She had already taken leave from school; she couldn’t delay the filming as well.
Besides, she wasn’t that fragile.
Mason, however, was very unhappy with this decision.
In the car, disapproval was written all over Mason’s face as he looked at Bella.
"If I’d known, I never should’ve indulged you."
Bella knew he meant he shouldn’t have indulged her in entering the entertainment industry.
She smiled. "I really am fine. The crew can’t afford delays. Every day we lose is money. Even if you don’t feel bad, I do."
Bella said it in a deliberately relaxed tone, even pulling a playful face.
Seeing this, Mason couldn’t keep a stern face either; helplessness filled his eyes and brows.
"You’ve already delayed half a day today. Taking another half day off is still acceptable."
This time Bella didn’t refuse and nodded.
Besides, she had promised before that she would come back once a week.
As for today, the crew could shoot other people’s scenes first.
Mason didn’t drive back to Fragrant Forest Riverside, but went straight to the old house.
At the same time, he called Elliot Morris and told him to send the upcoming work to the old house, clearly not planning to go into the office.
The two of them returned to the old house together, and the moment Grandma saw Bella, she happily rushed over.
"Oh my, my Bella is finally back."
Grandma took Bella’s hand, her face full of longing and heartache.
"It’s only been a few days, how are you already thinner? Your little face has no flesh left. Is the work too hard? I’ll have the kitchen make you lots of delicious food in a bit."
Grandma kept chattering on and on, talking about random little things without end.
So simple, yet it made Bella’s eyes redden and her heart burn hot.
"Grandma."
Her voice caught in her throat before she could stop it.
It made Grandma pause and look at Bella, and she was startled.
"What’s this now, why are you suddenly crying? Did this brat bully you?"
Bella’s sudden tears really scared Grandma. She reached up to wipe Bella’s tears while glaring angrily at Mason.
As if he’d done something utterly unforgivable.
Mason’s gaze stayed fixed on Bella. Watching her break down again, his heart clenched in pain.
"No, I just haven’t been back in a few days and I missed you, Grandma." Bella said, and directly hugged Grandma, burying her head in the old lady’s arms, speaking in a muffled voice.
Seeing this, Grandma immediately broke into a smile, gently patting Bella’s back as she laughed.
"You child, I thought something was wrong."
Then she gave her a slightly harder pat, sounding a bit reproachful.
"If you missed Grandma, why didn’t you come back earlier to see me, you little heartless thing."
Hearing that, Bella nestled in Grandma’s arms and giggled, like a little kid.
"I hadn’t even stepped through the door and I could already hear you two."
From outside came Bellamy Homes’s voice.
Bellamy walked in, bringing a chill of cold air with her.
"Mom." Bella came out of Grandma’s embrace, her cheeks flushed, a bit embarrassed.
That shy little look made Bellamy feel nothing but fondness for her.
"You’ve been gone so long and you only missed Grandma?"
Bella looked at Bellamy, a brilliant smile blooming at the corners of her lips.
"I missed Mom too."
