Chapter 1965: Chapter 1868: Four More Boxes

Upon hearing Huo Sining’s words, Windsor Caesar’s steps involuntarily halted, and he turned his head to look at Huo Sining with surprise.

Over there, Windsor Reed and Adrian were also looking at her, perplexed.

Huo Sining smiled and nodded slightly towards Gu Xu, who quickly stood up and walked out the door.

Windsor Reed finally felt something was off and couldn’t help asking, "Miss Huo, what do you mean by that?"

Huo Sining asked, "Mr. Windsor, it’s just a box of diamonds, are you simply satisfied with the status quo?"

Windsor Reed couldn’t help but find Huo Sining’s words amusing, yet there was an involuntary hint of helplessness in his eyes:

"Not being satisfied with the status quo won’t help, diamonds are rare finds, just like betting on Imperial Green Jadeite. Everyone wants to get the Imperial Green Dragon Stone, but not everyone has luck as extraordinary as Miss Huo’s."

Huo Sining gave a faint smile: "Is that so? Then I must congratulate you, Mr. Windsor."

Windsor Reed was puzzled: "Congratulate me on what?"

A glint flashed in Huo Sining’s eyes: "Because I came to see you today to bring you good fortune."

Windsor Reed and Adrian looked at each other at once, completely unsure of Huo Sining’s seemingly nonsensical words. Even Windsor Caesar, who was about to go out and ask the hotel manager to print the agreement, couldn’t help but pause and returned to the sofa to sit down again.

On the other side, Gu Xu moved quickly. After a trip back to his room, he soon returned to Windsor Reed’s room, but this time he had four more wooden boxes in his hands.

The size of those four wooden boxes matched those just filled with diamonds, even the material and carvings were identical. Gu Xu placed the boxes heavily on the coffee table, and as soon as he did so, Windsor Reed and the others’ expressions changed dramatically.

Windsor Reed couldn’t help but tremble all over, he looked up at Huo Sining in disbelief, seemingly trying to discern something from her face.

Huo Sining maintained her smile, sitting on the sofa as if she had anticipated their reaction.

Windsor Reed’s heart beat like a drum. After taking a deep breath, he asked with a trembling hand pointing at the unopened boxes, "Huo... Miss Huo, these boxes, they wouldn’t... also be filled with diamonds, would they?"

After asking this question, Windsor Reed felt that this idea was absurd. How could it be? The diamonds in the previous box were already astounding enough. If there were four more boxes of diamonds like that, it would be too outrageous, almost like hiding the amount of half a small diamond mine. Even though Huo Sining might be very capable, it couldn’t be possible to possess the power to pull out half a small diamond mine all at once, right?

Just as he was pondering this in his mind, when he looked at Huo Sining’s confident and strategic smile, for some reason, his heart stopped again, and the more he looked, the more startled he became. The more he looked, the more he felt that his earlier suspicion might have very high feasibility.

As if to verify his thoughts, Huo Sining actually began to open the boxes in front of her one by one.

When the box lids were lifted, Windsor Reed was utterly stunned, his eyes blank. Not just him, the other two were also left speechless, the room was so silent one could hear a pin drop.

After a long moment, the sound of two old men unconsciously swallowing could be heard.

These four boxes were even more visually striking than the previous one!

Just as Windsor Reed imagined, the four boxes indeed contained diamonds, and they were even larger than the previous thirty diamonds.

These diamonds were all round, though some were oval and not perfectly round, nonetheless, each sphere was smooth and without edges. Each diamond was of impeccable quality, with no visible flaws.

What stunned Windsor Reed even more was that each box of diamonds was more precious than the last, as the size of the diamonds increased, evidently having been carefully selected and sorted.

So initially, the box of diamonds Huo Sining showed him were only the size of quail eggs, but now in the largest box, there were only six or seven diamonds inside, yet they were the biggest in the entire batch. The largest even was fist-sized, and although it hadn’t been weighed with precise instruments, Windsor Reed could estimate from sight that the diamond weighed at least over 500 carats.

To suddenly uncover so many diamonds, each of such exquisite quality not requiring any cuts, how could Windsor Reed not be thrilled? He felt his blood rushing to his head, his face turning red, and although he seemed to want to say something, he could not utter a single word.

On the other side, seeing this, Windsor Caesar was also filled with shock in his eyes, but soon, he composed himself.

He finally understood what Huo Sining had meant by the words she said before he planned to go out and print the transaction contract.

Apparently, the box of small diamonds the woman initially offered was just a trial balloon. She took that box of small diamonds out to test his father’s attitude.

If his father hadn’t considered Huo Sining a friend, and seized the opportunity to intentionally lower the price when he saw Huo Sining in need of funds, then that box of diamonds might still be sold to his father. However, the diamonds from the subsequent boxes would likely not be shown to his father.

Thinking thus, Windsor Caesar felt a chill in his heart.

This Huo Sining was indeed not simple. At least in terms of psychological tactics, she was adept, no wonder she never suffered losses in the casino.

Huo Sining didn’t know that Windsor Caesar had conjured up so much in his mind in such a short moment. If she knew what Windsor Caesar thought, she would indeed cry out that she was misunderstood.

She didn’t have such scheming; it was purely a misunderstanding, okay? The reason she didn’t initially present so many diamonds was fear of overwhelming everyone in the room. On the other hand, she indeed harbored a probing intention, but it wasn’t to test Windsor Reed’s character. Instead, she wanted to measure Windsor’s purchasing power, to see if he could handle so many of her diamonds.

However, this thought was impossible for Huo Sining to explain to Windsor Caesar, and she was completely oblivious to Windsor Caesar’s misinterpretation due to her actions.
