Chapter 1196: Conspiracy caught

Michael nodded over towards Sheina, and she immediately ducked down and took off the bandage that wrapped over one of the figure’s mouths.

As soon as she did, the guy immediately breathed out a sigh of relief.

"Please... please no more," he begged. "I was just doing as I was asked! It was just a job! Please let me go. I don’t want to see that slime ever again!"

Immediately, the Rebornian opposition couldn’t help but gasp out loud when they’d heard those words.

It wasn’t the words themselves, but it was the fact that they could even talk! They’d specifically instructed their assassins to destroy their own brains once they were caught! And even if they were unable to do so themselves, there was an automatic process that would immediately kill the men as soon as they said something they shouldn’t.

And even if all of those precautions didn’t work, the assassins themselves were very well trained. They were hardened through years, decades, of torture. They wouldn’t say anything no matter what kind of horrible things were done to them. Their minds were steel.

But seeing their pathetic state now, the Rebornian opposition couldn’t help but shake their heads in disbelief.

"Could you please point to the people responsible for this assassination attack?" Sheina asked the bloodied man.

"It’s them!" the man pointed towards the Rebornian opposition. His hands scanned over their guilty faces with ease, his blood dripping from his fingers as he did so.

"PREPOSTEROUS!"

"This is an outrage! How can we believe the words of an assassin!"

"Surely this is just a misunderstanding! This is a set up done to us!"

Immediately, the Rebornian opposition stood up in indignant poses and began to disparage the assassin.

They were very flustered and couldn’t make any obvious defenses. After all, they never thought that they would get put into this position in the first place!

"How can we even believe this man?"

Michael nodded. "It is true. We have no concrete evidence for these assassins coming from your companies. However, I do have evidence about your conspiracies."

It was at this point that the air above Michael shimmered, showing a metal construction hovering in the air.

It was none other than his Main Drone. Its appearance surprised everyone in the room, including Eldea herself. After all, they’d never even felt that there was a hidden object somewhere in this room!

"What... what is that?!"

Michael smiled before letting the Drone land into the top of his palm. "This is a Drone. And one of the good things about this technology is that it could act as a reconnaissance tool, or as a camera. It could capture things that would otherwise have been lost in time."

Upon saying those vague, mysterious, and foreboding words, Michael raised his hand and summoned the Golden Nanoparticles out in front of him.

Everyone was once again shocked. As Nascent Spirit cultivators, they all felt the oppressive and solid nature of the Golden Nanoparticles and correctly deduced that it was Nascent Armor.

However, they’d never seen such a... liquid armor. Everyone knew that Nascent Armors were solid. Unchangeable. It was the very definition of Armor itself! It couldn’t be changed by any attack or offense done by the world, protecting the user!

Yet, Michael’s Nascent Armor moved like sand particles swirling in the water.

And before they couldn even question Michael about his strange armor, the Golden Nanoparticles began to form and coalesce into one solid shape.

And this shape looked to be a stout rectangular box with a protruding circle in the front.

No one knew what this was. But for anyone who had been on Earth, they would quickly realize what it was.

It was none other than a Projector!

The best thing about his Nascent Armor was that it could form into anything in his imagination and function as if it was the real thing!

So when he turned on the golden projector, a bright light began to beam out of the protruding circle and project into the wall opposite it.

Everyone’s eyes were directed into the light, eventually seeing that it had formed colors, shapes, and figures that very closely resembled that of real life!

It actually looked as if the projector had created a window into another reality!

But it didn’t take long before many began to realize that it wasn’t actually a different reality. In fact, it was very familiar to them.

The image showed this very room itself! It was complete with a large circular table where all the leaders sat at while they were in the middle of their intense arguments.

"That’s this room! How is this possible?!"

"Not just this room," Michael corrected them. "It’s this room, a few moments ago."

And just like he said, the projection showed the very moment when people began to cast their votes on the Feast.

People watched with bated breaths, completely taken by this strange power that could capture the past and project them into the present.

And before anyone could ask Michael about this new technology, the scene shifted.

Now, the vision was focused onto a few people, their colors becoming more vivid while the others’ became more bland.

These people were none other than the Rebornian opposition!

"What are we to do?!"

"Just expose their lie! Then, Eldea won’t have any basis for her choice..."

The guilty party all stood up in shock and disbelief. This was their conversation during their private talk!

How was it now playing on the projection?!

After all, they had used the Aubility Power of a Nascent Spirit cultivator to make sure no one was listening in on their conversations! Even Eldea had no idea that they were even talking amongst one another!

Yet, somehow, that strange golden projector could capture their conversation in picture-perfect quality!

"If the news about the Ancient Roar is true, then we’re in a lot more trouble than we thought."

"I agree. If this Reborn company were given more time, their power would be terrifying."

"That is why I suggest we nip this problem in the bud. We must kill those Dragonborns!"
