Reborn for Revenge: I Married A Billionaire
Chapter 25- To Help Her
Sienna bolted up on the couch and glanced around with a bewildered look on her face. Last thing she remembered, she finished her croissant and then just closed her eyes, leaning a little into Hunter’s warm body. She just wanted to rest her head a little against his arm.
Now there was a pillow under her head, and a blanket had been draped over her.
"God! What is happening here?" She stood up, feeling guilty.
She had to do so much, and there were office files that needed to be read. Everything she had planned had been ruined.
She went to her room and took out all the files.
"I can at least try," She went to the bed and started flipping the pages.
"Ma’am," She looked up when she found Brian standing in the doorway, "Dinner is ready..."
"Dinner," Sienna checked the time and then decided she didn’t need to eat anymore. The steak was full enough, and now she didn’t feel hungry.
"Thank you, Brian," She smiled, her gaze shifting to the file she was reading, "I’m not hungry. Hunter needs to eat alone tonight."
Brian lifted the wooden spatula he was holding, "He isn’t home and won’t return till midnight."
The skin between her eyes pulled into several lines. Wasn’t Hunter home? Why?
How stupid you are, Sia. He is not on house arrest. She scolded herself.
"Okay, Brian," She forced a smile on her face, "You go ahead and eat. I’ve got a lot of work to do."
For some odd reason, she felt happy and light.

She was sitting in her office at Mason traders and today was no better. None of them wanted to work under her. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
She greeted them when she entered the small lobby, but no one acknowledged her. She asked Peter to send the general manager, Derek, to her office. The message got conveyed, but he didn’t arrive.
Right now, it was all getting out of hand. She needed to do something before her father would discover that he didn’t have her original property and was scammed in that regard, too.
"What to do?" She dropped her head into her hands in exasperation.
The office staff was busy partying, and Sienna couldn’t fire them all at once. It was only meant to invite more chaos.
She picked up her phone when she heard the message tone.
"Hey, Sia,"
The message was from Lina.
She started typing the reply, "Hey, Li. Are you done with the wedding? Can you recommend someone who can help me here?"
After a few minutes, when Sienna thought she wouldn’t get the response, her phone vibrated, "Hey, love. This is too complicated. We can’t trust anyone. Just wait two more days, and I’ll be there."
Sienna made a face.
Two days?
She couldn’t even survive two minutes here.
The sharp clicking of heels made her head snap towards the door. A girl whom Sienna had seen at the reception walked inside carrying a clipboard.
A single sheet was clipped neatly at the top.
She didn’t even ask for permission and slid the board across her desk, "You need to sign the approval."
For a brief moment, Sienna felt hope making its way into her heart, "Approval?"
"Yeah. Approval for lunch and snacking. Mr. Mason used to sign it for us."
She was here to get the food approval signed. That too when none of them was working.
Should she grab the chance to make a deal?
"Okay. And I can sign more of these if you people want... I just need all of you to be here for a meeting."
This woman must be in her mid-twenties, and the way she tilted back her head, it seemed like she was the one who owned this place.
"No one is free to attend any kind of meeting, cutie. This is not how we work here. Secondly, this office has only two giant investors and one of them already pulled back," She said while chewing the gum, "We all know the other one might make the move in the upcoming days, so..." She trailed off with a meaningful side smirk.
When she left, Sienna read the clipboard and then tossed it aside angrily. She picked up her phone, debating whether she should call Hunter or not.
Let’s send him a message. Lina said that at least these bitches might listen to me if Hunter is here.
She typed a message, "Hey, Hunter. I need help here."
She kept thinking whether she should press the send button. After a few minutes, she closed her eyes and pressed it.
She waited for his reply, but that never came.
Maybe I shouldn’t have messaged him. She thought to herself.
She picked up a file labeled "Sam." The official lawyer. It also had his contact details. She dialled his number and waited.
"Hello?" A heavy voice came from the speaker.
"Mr. Sam?" She rolled her lips between her teeth.
"Yes. Who is it?"
"Sam... I’m Sienna... speaking from Mason traders... I was just reading your file when I..."
"Ms. Sienna. I’m sorry, but I can’t talk to you..."
"B... but... you’re the lawyer who is representing Mason traders. How can you..." He didn’t let her finish.
"Miss Sienna. Sorry again, but I only work for George Mason... not for you. Right now, I’m busy, so please don’t bother to call me again."
"But Mr. Sam..." He didn’t even wait to hear her out and disconnected the call.
She rested her forehead on her desk and clenched her teeth.
"Seems like someone is having a rough day at work!" The familiar voice made her bolt up in her seat.
"H...Hunter?" She didn’t know why, but she was torn between happiness and tears.
His shoulder was casually propped against the doorway. When he saw her slowly rising from her seat, he chuckled and pushed himself off the doorframe.
"Well!" He dragged a chair over and sat, "Someone messaged me that she needed help," He shrugged, cocking up a brow, "So, here I am... to help her."
That day, Sienna noticed a small cleft near his lip corner. For no reason, her pulse spiked.
