Reborn for Revenge: I Married A Billionaire
Chapter 36- Jeffery Stone
"Boss. Are you sure about this land?" Logan asked his boss, who was busy observing the people at the party while standing in the corner.
Hunter sighed into the phone.
"Not the right question, Logan. If my wife wants it, she should have it," He said in a relaxed tone, watching Sienna, who was talking to Tom.
Though there was unease on her face, he kept his distance. He would only go if she wanted his help.
"Can’t we just buy this land and hand it over to her?" Logan asked his boss.
Hunter smiled at that, "She won’t like it, Logan. She doesn’t appreciate things when they are handed over on a plate. So, no. Let her work for it. Make sure the land doesn’t go to anyone else."
"Roger, Boss," Hunter could imagine his secretary saluting him on the other side.

"So..." Tom folded his arms on his chest, too sure of himself with that stupid smirk that he thought made him look more handsome, "Are you here with your loser husband? Ha-ha."
The prick was trying to be funny.
Great!
She stood there quietly, only nodding her head with a smile.
"He is asking you something," Ruby rolled her eyes.
Sienna shook her head as her smile widened, "No. He is asking you, Ruby. You’re the one who is married to a loser."
Tom’s face had suddenly turned grey as he realized what she had said. Sia didn’t stop there and decided to walk away.
"Jerks!" She whispered and then felt someone’s gaze on her face. Raising her eyes, she looked ahead and found Hunter looking straight at her.
A genuine smile graced her lips, and she raised her hand to wave at him. He waved her back. Instead of going to him, she walked sideways to a group of people who seemed to be having some discussion about politics.
Her least favorite topic.
It dawned on her that they all were middle-aged men who were too engrossed to notice her.
"This is the third time my contractor ditched me," One of the men from the group, who had silver hair and had a Rolex on his wrist, signaled a waiter to bring him a drink.
"What was it this time?" Another man asked him, and the first one just shrugged, "It was the fucking window... the material he used rusts easily."
All Sienna needed was an opening.
"The contractors are so shitty nowadays. Mine left after completing half the building," Another man complained.
"Gentlemen," She raised her glass, "You all need to change your contractor."
A sudden hush fell on the group. Their gazes were directed to her with a frown as if they’d just noticed her.
"And who are you exactly?" The silver-haired man asked her.
"A no one..." The familiar voice spoke behind her. Sienna closed her eyes, wishing secretly to turn around and punch Tom’s face. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
"Gentlemen," He came forward to stand beside her, "She is a nobody who just joined her father’s company and is now attending every event to get into your good books."
After making the remark, he slowly turned his head to meet her eyes. Sienna didn’t let the smile leave her lips.
"He is right, gentlemen," Sienna murmured, "Ever since my father handed over the company, he has made sure to attend every event just to slander me..." She then gradually switched her attention to the group and smiled widely, "He has got too much time on his hands. Hehe."
The silver haired man pursed his lips, watching her closely, "You are right, Miss..." He trailed off.
"Sienna," She supplied, "I am Sienna Mason."
"Sienna," The man slipped a hand into his pocket, "These events provide you perfect opportunity to get to know the business community."
"Right?" Sienna pointed towards him, "These parties should be attended by the people who know how to carry themselves. Insulting others only shows one’s background."
The men standing there started nodding their heads while Ruby, who was right behind Tom, gasped.
"Tom is a very experienced businessman, Sienna..." Ruby’s gaze drew to the group of men who weren’t expecting drama, "You all must have heard about Thomas Blackwell," She announced proudly, placing her palm on Tom’s arm.
"Yeah..." Sienna clapped her hands excitedly, "The same Thomas Blackwell whose company had to face charges because he made a faulty building in the suburbs."
Tom thought he was imagining it. Nobody knew about the charges he faced because he was trying his best to settle them outside court.
Sienna tried to hide her smile. In her last life, around this time, she had found Tom’s file on their nightstand, where she read all the details.
"Don’t you know about the Shaira building?" She casually asked a man who was standing beside her.
Another man seemed to choke on his breath, "Shaira building?" He then shifted his gaze to Tom’s face, "Are you from Star Company?"
Sienna had done her job. She chewed her lower lip, trying to control her laughter, and headed to Hunter, who was now getting on his feet.
She came here to make connections, but instead achieved something bigger. Something Tom always feared.
Public humiliation.
There is more to come, Thomas Blackwell.
"You look happy," Hunter remarked on the way back home. She giggled, shaking her head.
"Because I am."
She was aware that this was just a small achievement, and suddenly she wanted to celebrate it.
"Hey... can you stop the car at Joe’s?"
He nodded, wondering what was going on inside her head, "Sure. Pasta mood?"
"Nah," She looked out the window, "Chocolate croissant time. My treat!"
She didn’t know why he made a face, but she was too happy to notice it.
Once she was back, she handed him his box and stated opening hers.
"Umm..." She moaned, taking a bite of the warm, gooey croissant, "This tastes like heaven."
His gaze got stuck to the chocolate smudged over her lips. He raised his hand to wipe it when suddenly his phone started ringing.
The caller’s number wasn’t saved on his phone, but the ID it gave was Jeffrey Stone.
