Chapter 66: 66- Us!

"Hello, Brian," Sienna tried to stretch her lips into a bright smile, the moment the door opened, "I’m here to take my laptop."

Poor Brian was clearly caught off guard when she slipped past him, towards her room, "I’ll just grab it," She said over her shoulder.

She pushed open her bedroom door and slammed it behind her with her foot.

My God! I missed my room.

She sighed and walked straight to her study table. And then she stopped dead in her tracks.

Her laptop wasn’t there at its usual place.

"What the..." Her brows pulled together as her eyes roamed around looking for her laptop. She then moved a few files and a notebook.

Nothing.

"Ma’am!" Brian’s voice came from outside, "Sienna... I hope you’re alright. We missed you. Okay?"

We?

"I’m busy, Brian," She crouched to check the lower shelves. In desperation, she started opening drawers. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

"It is supposed to be here," She mumbled in irritation.

Just then, her phone buzzed as a message from Lina popped up, "You’ll lose, bitch!"

Sienna scoffed under her breath and tossed her phone onto the bed without a reply. As a secretary, Hunter should know where to place her stuff.

She was so caught up in her search that she didn’t hear the familiar honking of a car outside.

Her mind didn’t register the front door opening. She was still searching for her laptop when a knock came again.

"Brian! I already told you, darling. I’m busy."

Her voice was caught in her throat when she heard Hunter’s voice outside the door, "Sugar. Sweetheart. Your laptop is with me."

Sienna went still when she heard him. What was he doing here? He was supposed to be in the office.

"Sienna?" He called her again when she didn’t respond, "Sugar. I’ll break the door if you don’t open it. I know you’re in there."

Sienna was rooted to the spot, her heart was racing.

It’s a bluff. Isn’t it?

He wouldn’t do it.

Why? Didn’t he break the bathroom door for you? Someone tried to remind her.

She swallowed, forcing herself not to move. After a few seconds, there was a click sound. The lock turned, and the door opened.

Urgh. He had the key.

Sienna’s breath hitched as she saw Hunter standing there leaning casually against the doorway... with Brian right behind him.

"Hey, sugar," He smiled gently, but Sienna wasn’t ready for it.

No, no, no. He wasn’t supposed to be there. Her eyes darted around the room in panic, looking for a way out.

"Relax, menace," Hunter’s voice dropped to a whisper. Sienna bolted straight towards him.

Just three days ago, she had wondered what he would do if she ran towards him. Would he pull her into a hug or hold her shoulders and demand answers?

Instead, his hand shot out as he caught her mid-run in one smooth motion and lifted her off the ground.

"What... I ...."

Before she could react, he put her over his shoulder like a sack, as if she weighed nothing.

"Put me down!" She snapped, her fists hitting his back, "Put me down, you asshole!"

Hunter didn’t stop, nor did he slow down as he walked straight towards the staircase.

"Brian," He placed his hand over her ass to not let her jiggle, "Make sure we’re not disturbed."

Sienna twisted a little, trying to free herself, her long red hair falling as she struggled to get free from his grip, "Leave me, jerk!"

"I can’t," He chuckled as he slapped her round ass, "Not now. Not ever."

He closed the door with his heel and headed to his bed. Sienna’s face was flushed in embarrassment when he placed her down gently.

"Where is my laptop?" She asked loudly, crawling on her ass towards the headboard. Her chest was rising and falling as she tried to catch her breath.

Hunter’s eyes stayed there for an instant before flashing back to her flushed face.

"Why’re you avoiding me?"

"Fuck off!" She snapped, moving her hair off her face.

"Sienna..."

She lunged at him, pushing him by placing her hands on his chest, trying to shove him back. The man barely moved.

Instead, he caught her wrists mid-air and pulled her closer in one swift motion.

"Can’t you hear? Let go of me!" She struggled harder, twisting her hands in his grip, but he didn’t loosen his hold.

Forcing her back, he pinned her to the mattress with his hard body, one hand trapping her wrists above her head.

"Stop, menace," He commanded her. He rarely used this tone on her.

"Get off me!" She writhed under him, "I’ll kill you, Hunter Levisay."

Her movements were not getting slower and weaker until she realized she couldn’t move anymore.

Her face suddenly crumpled as a tear slipped from the corner of her eye, rolling down her temple into her hair.

Then another.

Hunter stared at her face and couldn’t look away. Then slowly he leaned down, as his lips brushed against her cheek.

"H... hunter..." She didn’t know how to stop him. Her eyes fluttered shut as a broken sob left her lips, "You’re doing it again... please..."

"Please, what?" He whispered but didn’t pull away. Sienna opened her eyes as she saw a broken expression on his face.

His mouth got closer as it caught another tear before it fell further.

"S..stop..."

He didn’t listen. He didn’t want to listen.

He kept kissing every inch of her face as if he was missing the taste of her salty tears.

When he freed her hands, he expected her to throw punches, but her hands clutched his office shirt into her fists.

"Where did you go?" He asked her, kissing the edge of her jaw.

"I ... I was scared..."

"Scared? Scared of kisses?"

She shook her head as she rolled her lips between her teeth.

"Scared of me?" His lips touched her temples.

She again shook her head, "No!" She whispered, "I’m scared of us, Hunter."

Her reply made him go still.

"Us?" He muttered, and she nodded as she cried harder.

"Yeah. Us."
