Chapter 92: Healing The Primarch

The next day was brighter than usual, Jacob sprawled across the bed carelessly as he snored, he didn’t expect the mattress to be that comfortable.

Xenia on the other hand had battled with his limbs and relentless snoring all night, eventually deciding to sleep on the floor. She had no idea the young master slept with such reckless abandon, and as such she would never make the mistake of laying in the same bed with him again.

There was a knock at the door which woke the both of them up, Xenia was a light sleeper so it didn’t take much to get her up.

Jacob on the other hand, loved to sleep, even as he woke up, he rubbed his eyes slowly and grumbled. He wanted to return as soon as possible.

Xenia opened the door to the same maiden that had escorted them to the room the previous day, Emily.

Emily smiled at her but Xenia just looked at her listlessly. "My Lord, you have been invited to the Primarch’s chamber." Emily said without any fuss, curtsying before she turned and backed the door. "Take however long you need, I will be here to guide you."

Xenia acknowledged her words and shut the door. Jacob remembered telling Light to take him to his father’s room tbe night before, but Light complained that he was too tired and it would happen in the morning.

Jacob saw no problems with that, so when he heard the maiden’s words he immediately got up and went to freshen up. Xenia did the same right after him.

It wouldn’t take much to heal the Primarch, and he hoped that in doing so, the old man would feel indebted to him, leading them to form a string alliance between the Wutherhorns and the Ironfells.

In less than an hour, Jacob and Xenia were ready to go, they opened the door to find Emily still standing there diligently. Jacob wondered slightly how the maidens of the manor were able to stand for such long periods of time, but he waved the thought away as the answer didn’t concern him very much.

"Are you ready, my Lord?" Emily asked, a familiar red blush on her face. She was still nervous to be in his presence. Jacob did not know if it was because of his looks or his status, but he liked that he made her nervous.

"Yes, we’re ready." He responded with a smile, a smile that seemed to make her face turn even more red, no matter how she tried to hide it.

She led them down the hallway until they arrived at a room with a large silver door,, several designs were engraved on the door.

She knocked on the door slightly and it swung open slowly, revealing a bright room, with nothing but a lone hospital bed in the middle, a sickly man lay on it, barely moving.

There were people standing around, but Jacob could only recognize one of them, it was Light Wutherhorn, about three men stood around him and an elderly woman whom Jacob assumed was his mother. Her eyes were red and visibly swollen, as though she had been crying for a long time.

"Jacob! Xenia! Welcome welcome." Light was the first to speak, walking towards Jacob with outstretched arms, he patted him on the shoulder and gestured towards the other people standing in the room.

"This is my eldest brother Yannick, and my two brothers Randolph and Jonathan." Light said, pointing towards the three men that stood at their father’s bedside. Jacob noticed something, none of these men looked anything like Light. They looked very different, normal.

Neither his father or mother had red hair like his, it was uncanny. But Jacob remained silent.

"And this is my mother." Light introduced, gesturing towards his mother.

"We heard you can heal him." Yannick spoke up, but Jacob only nodded without saying anything.

He glanced at Light’s mother, she just stood in the corner, she must’ve met over hundreds of people who claimed that they could cure the dark plague. Which is why she didn’t seem too surprised or excited at Jacob’s or Light’s words.

Jacob moved slowly towards the man, he looked very similar to Eren’s mother, the one he had healed in Myren town. All of his senses had gone, nothing remained, the once feared Primarch lay ok the bed like a corpse.

Jacob looked at him for a moment, and then looked at the family members who watched eagerly, Light was clutching tightly onto Xenia’s hand.

With a single thought, Jacob materialized a single vial of the Elixir of Alvira in his grasp, causing Randolph and Jonathan to gasp slightly. He bent over slightly and opened the man’s mouth pouring the elixir in it.

When he was done, he carefully closed the vial, the small container vanished instantly from his hand, he straightened himself and looked at the man, but nothing happened.

"So?!" Yannick exclaimed, he looked restless.

"Wait for it." Jacob assured him.

Just when the family members were about to give hope, with Randolph already at the door, on the verge of leaving. They heard a cough, and then another, and another.

The Primarch coughed relentlessly, over and over, he sat up so he could regain himself. The second he opened his eyes that was a scream from Light’s mother as she rushed over and swung her hands around him forcefully.

Light was still stunned by how Jacob was able to pull off such a feat, even Xenia struggled to believe that her own young master had the cure to the dark plague.

"You are a fucking miracle. Mr Ironfell." Mrs. Wutherhorn held Jacob’s hand with tears in her eyes, she had no reason to mind her words after what she had just witnessed. Two years of suffering, alleviated in mere minutes.

It was nothing short of celebration as every one of the family members that were present thanked Jacob from the bottom of their hearts, but he only just told them it was nothing.

"Jacob Ironfell, you never cease to amaze me." Light said, hugging the young man tightly.
