Reborn in the 1980s: Recapture My Devoted Husband
Chapter 1086 - 851: Liang Zhi Arrives (2)
Han Yi directly gave him a chestnut to try, making Yang Kui Bao quite regretful. During dinner, Yang Kui Bao and Hu Dong managed to get Han Yi so tipsy he was out of it.
Initially, Han Yi wanted to take them to the hostel, but he was swaying so much he couldn’t even walk. Lin Wan had to make a floor bed for them in Little Star’s room.
Little Star was happy, hugging the two uncles and proudly introducing them to her little tent.
In the end, the two guys crawled into the tent with Little Star. The next day, they complained about their sore bodies, which made Little Star giggle non-stop.
When they were leaving, Han Yi didn’t get up to see them off. Lin Wan knew the reason Yang Kui Bao and Hu Dong got Han Yi drunk was to prevent her from mentioning it to Han Yi that night.
Now that Han Yi couldn’t get up, the two of them would definitely speed up their journey to S City, fearing Han Yi would catch up with them.
However, Lin Wan waited until Han Yi returned in the afternoon to tell him about Hu Dong going to E Country.
As a result, Han Yi didn’t say much, but he was somewhat worried about their safety.
Lin Wan didn’t know when Hu Dong and the others were leaving, but Han Yi soon drove out for a while. When he came back, he had Lin Wan get him three thousand yuan and asked Lin Wan to call Wu Liu.
Listening to Han Yi’s conversation with Wu Liu on the phone, Lin Wan finally learned that Han Yi had arranged for someone to go with them. It seemed to be a retired soldier with good skills and agility. Having him along would provide some security on the road.
Lin Wan didn’t know how Hu Dong and the others were doing over there and didn’t dare to call her mother-in-law. Hu Dong definitely hadn’t told his family about this. She was afraid to ask in case her mother-in-law noticed something was off and then worried her and Uncle Hu.
...
In the blink of an eye, the students had all gone on holiday, and Lin Wan wanted to enroll Little Star in a painting class. There wasn’t one available near their courtyard, but there was a good one near her mom’s place. The child would definitely have to stay over there during the weekdays, which meant her mom would be needed again. Lin Wan thought about it and decided to stay at her mom’s place for a month, so she could keep an eye on the child during the week.
Han Yi was somewhat reluctant; if she went over there, leaving him alone at home, he said he couldn’t sleep and would have insomnia.
"Just go over on weekends when you have time off. It’s only a couple of days a week; how can you get insomnia over that?"
"I’ve gotten more and more used to it; without you and the child here, I feel empty inside."
Lin Wan couldn’t help but laugh, "Does that mean you’ll never leave me in the future?"
"That’s right, I won’t leave you." Han Yi hugged Lin Wan and laughed as well.
Lin Wan left the car at home for Han Yi since she didn’t need it much there; her workplace and the school were both very close to home.
Though Han Yi was a bit unwilling, he still helped Lin Wan pack up their stuff and took his wife and child over there.
Lin Wan enrolled Little Star in a painting class. Looking at the little girls learning to dance, Little Star insisted on learning too. Lin Wan originally thought she didn’t want to tire her daughter out and that one class was enough, but the child insisted, so Lin Wan signed her up as well. Painting was three half days a week, and dance was also three half days, so Lin Wan spent her days ferrying the kids back and forth to school. With Tuantuan at home, Lin Wan took two kids back and forth every day, making all sorts of delicious snacks for them. After less than half a month, both Little Star and Tuantuan had put on some weight. Luckily, they had a nanny to help with cleaning, so she wasn’t too overwhelmed.
At her mom’s house, at night, Little Star and Tuantuan both slept with mom and dad.
For the two little kids, mom and dad even changed the bed, ordering a two-meter-twenty large bed custom-made from Ying Han’s shop. At night, the two kids would go all out playing on their parents’ bed.
On Sunday, Han Yi came to tell her that Lu Guoqi’s wife’s dance class had started, and business was going well. They had recruited three or four dozen students of various ages. Each student was charged three yuan, including the costume.
The dance class Little Star enrolled in was slightly cheaper. But maybe that’s why so many students signed up.
Now that it’s summer, Lin Wan almost didn’t eat dinner in the evening, relying on watermelon, cucumber, and various melons. She lost quite a bit of weight in a month, almost back to her pre-pregnancy weight. Seeing this, Saozi thought this method was good and also started eating fruits with her in the evening.
Shortly after July ended and August began, their cousin from back home came over bringing homemade marinated chicken and duck.
It was the cousin’s first time visiting their place here.
It was a sudden visit. When Brother Ah Zhi arrived, mom and dad were both out. Upon knowing he’d arrived, they hurried back in a rush.
"Why didn’t you call ahead? I’d have asked your uncle to pick you up," Liang Hongmei said.
"I initially went to a neighboring city to study the prevention and treatment of chicken and duck diseases, and thought it was close to you guys, so I decided to come and see you." It had been years, and Ah Zhi had matured quite a bit. His kids were a year younger than Tuantuan.
"Have you finished your studies? How are your parents’ health?" Dad and Brother greeted him enthusiastically, and mom quickly asked the nanny to prepare some good dishes.
"Everything at home is good. After Ah Song graduated, he was assigned to a middle school in our county. He’s now seeing someone, also a teacher at their school. If all goes well, we might have a wedding this year. My parents are now at home helping me manage the chickens and ducks in the mountains. For convenience, I’ve also bought a tractor, which my dad now drives to help me deliver goods. This trip to your place is organized by the people from our town for studying purposes."
"That’s great! Ah Song has been at the school for two years, hasn’t he? He’s not young anymore, about time to settle down. How’s business on your end?" Lin Guozhi asked with concern.
"The business is getting better and better. Besides raising chickens and ducks, I’ve also started beekeeping to get into the honey business. Moreover, the marinated chicken and ducks I brought this time are my latest creation. I’m planning to deliver fresh chicken and duck to the market, but I’m also preparing to venture into food processing."
