"Dad...Dad..." Han Ziyan was also shocked. Her hands were still in the air, and she did not know what to do with them. She looked at her father and her two sisters, and her face started to twitch. She wanted to say something, but couldn’t even bring herself to say a single word.

"Did you not hear what Ruochen said just now? What are you two looking for? Shall I help you two out?" Han Yichen snarled.

"No... No need. It is not important; it’s alright if we cannot find it. I just dropped an earring and was looking for it." Meng Yunhan made a random excuse as she was worried that Han Yichen would realise that she was looking for his money. If the man found out that she was looking for the money that he had stashed away, he would definitely not leave her alone. At that moment, she was so scared that she did not even see Han Xuehan, who was standing next to Han Yichen.

She just hoped that the man would stop paying attention to this matter, and then she would deal with other things.

However, even if she did not say anything, it did not mean that Han Yichen was foolish enough not to understand what she was trying to hide from him. He sucked in a breath and turned to look at Han Xuehan and Han Ruochen. Even though his anger was raging within him as if thousands of horses were galloping inside his heart, when he spoke, Han Yichen’s voice was rather calm. "Ruochen, Xuehan, come and help me."

"Oh." Han Ruochen pursed her lips as she turned to look at her mother and Han Ziyan. She really wanted to praise the two of them. They really knew how to piss off her father. To think that they really chose such an opportune time to cause trouble. They had more than eight days to look for money, and yet they chose to look for it when they were about to return.

"Old Han, what are you doing?" Meng Yunhan turned a shade whiter when she saw that Han Yichen was going through his clothes in the wardrobe. What was he even doing collecting all of his clothes?

"What am I doing? Nothing at all. Don’t you want to look around the room? Then I will leave this room for you. You can do your search however you like." After finding out the good things that Meng Yunhan had done, he did not want to see her face at all. However, his feelings only intensified after seeing the good things she had done. Now he was sure, if he slept with this woman on the same bed, he would be so furious that he would end up suffocating her to death. This woman was really good. She actually took advantage of his absence and started to look for his savings again.

To think that she was still not satisfied after she snatched more than ten thousand yuan from him.

Han Yichen packed up his things and moved to Han Jianyou’s room with Han Xuehan and Han Ruochen. Fortunately, the room was not too small, and Han Yichen, this big man, was able to settle down. He looked around the room that was smaller than his own and sighed. He really owed his children way too much. His room with Meng Yunhan was not only big but also had the best lighting. But the rooms that belonged to his children —well, they could only be considered subpar.

"Ruochen, Xuehan."

"Yes."

"What is it, Dad?"

"You two, there is nothing that you can do about your mother and sister. They are what they are. Since that is the case, then you might as well ignore them." He turned to look at Han Ruochen and said, "If they pretend to be pitiful in front of you, just take it that you cannot hear what they are saying to you. You should never lend them even a penny. You have seen it with your own eyes. They are quite capable. You don’t need to worry about them."

"They can deal with anything in their lives."

He then turned to look at Han Xuehan. "You too. You have seen the limit to which your adopted sister and mother can go. Since they don’t feel ashamed even after wasting ten thousand yuan, what sin have you committed to feel burdened upon your return to your own home? Stay as long as you like and don’t mind anything that they say."

Han Xuehan nodded with a hint of awkwardness. She had thought of countless scenarios, but she never thought that she would witness such a thing. Her mother actually tried to steal the money from her father’s savings. Either she was way too bold, or she was simply foolish. How could she even try to move her father’s savings, and that too twice at that?

"I understand, Dad. I will not take their words to heart," said Han Xuehan. Her father was correct. Her mother did not feel ashamed even after stealing all the savings of the family. Compared to that, she had done nothing wrong at all. In fact, she was the victim!

Han Yichen sighed. "You two sisters, go and take some rest." A pause. "And make sure to keep a close eye on your money, lest someone steal it."

"We understand, Dad." Han Ruochen’s eyes were sparkling. She had been thinking about how to sow discord between her parents. But she never expected that her mother would be such a talented person that she would do it on her own.

Han Yichen did not see the light in Han Ruochen’s eyes, but Han Xuehan did. She frowned slightly as she could not understand why her younger sister was overjoyed upon seeing their parents fight. Even though Han Xuehan did not like her mother either, she did not want her parents to separate either. After all, the two of them had been married for so long; if they divorced at such an age, it would be quite a shocking and embarrassing thing!
