Reborn In The 90's: Saving My Siblings With A Fishing System
Chapter 282: Sea Ginseng
"Because it is of no use to me." Zhai Heng took a deep breath and said in a low voice, "No one in my family is willing to join the navy, and this is nothing but a useless piece of scrap for me. But for you, it might be of some use; don’t worry. This information has already been shared with the military units, but this information is of little to no use to them as they hardly travel to these faraway places."
"But for you, these landmarks might be of some use. After all, I have seen what you can do with these countless pieces of information. But we need people like you who have the courage to sail into the storms. Most of the military personnel think that it is a waste of time to go to these landmarks, but maybe they might turn out to be important to you?"
Zhai Heng was indeed confident when it came to Han Ruochen’s skills. This woman had shown skills even more exceptional than those of most of the men who went to sail on the sea. "Almost all the people at the docks only see the fish that you bring back, Xiao Ruochen. They see the money that you bring back and nothing else, but I know that it is not as easy as the others think."
When he saw that Han Ruochen was still looking a bit troubled, he could not help but say in a low voice, "Consider this an investment. When you become successful, you can always repay me."
Han Ruochen felt a surge of emotions in her heart. A kind of emotion that she had never felt before. She rolled the map back up and placed it inside the little bag that she carried with her. Han Ruochen looked at the man in front of her with a deep look in her eyes. "Thank you." Han Ruochen bowed slightly in front of Zhai Heng, as she knew that the man had actually looked out for her quite a bit. "I promise that the next time I find something good, I will bring it to you." 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
Zhai Heng felt his heart flutter. A blush deepened on his cheeks, and he did not know what to say to Han Ruochen at the moment. He wanted to take the woman’s hands into his and promise her that, as long as she was willing, he would do anything for her. But as soon as this thought flashed into his mind, Zhai Heng’s spine could not help but straighten up.
He shoved this particular feeling to the back of his head and waved his hand. "This is nothing; there is no need for trouble. As long as you remember this favour, everything will be fine."
Looking at the gifts that Zhai Heng had brought for her, Han Ruochen hesitated for a while. "Zhai Heng, I know that you are going for a business meeting tomorrow at the Emerald Pavilion. And this business meeting is really important for you, so you’d better be on your guard. Be careful and don’t eat anything that has been passed through the hands of others. If you cannot reject the serving of the food, then you keep those servings and throw them away later on when no one is looking. No matter what, as long as you can avoid drinking or eating anything from the hands of others, everything will be fine."
Han Ruochen wanted to tell Zhai Heng about Yun Tao, but it slipped her mind after she got busy with the rest of the things. Now that Zhai Heng had come to meet her, Han Ruochen was reminded of what had happened the last time, and she decided to warn him. She had a feeling that Yun Tao would never allow Zhai Heng to take over the Zhai business easily.
Since that was the case, Yun Tao would never let this day and night pass easily. He would definitely try something.
So, it would be wise for Zhai Heng to stay on his guard.
"Xiao Ruochen, do you know something?" Zhai Heng’s countenance changed.
"It’s nothing; just believe in me. I will never do anything to harm you. You’d better be careful." There was no need to listen to anything or anyone. She had seen how dangerous and sinister Yun Tao could be when he wanted to. Just the fact alone that he beat Zhai Heng to a pulp was enough to prove that.
"Xiao Ruochen, thank you. Don’t worry, I understand." Zhai Heng knew that his cousin did not get along with him, but his cousin knew how to always show off his obedient side in front of the elders. Even when he felt uneasy and displeased, he had no choice but to get along with him, even when he did not want to. If he pulled a disgusted look, then his grandpa would start lecturing him. He would even tell him that Zhai Heng, as the elder brother, should give in to Yun Tao, as he was his younger brother.
Grandpa Jiang even reminded him to be nice to Yun Tao, as he was obedient and well-behaved. A good boy like him would be bullied everywhere he went, which was why it was important for Zhai Heng to take care of him. From a young age till now, Zhai Heng could not remember the million times he had been taken advantage of by his cousin.
But these were just small pranks; they did not cause any serious harm. Hence, Zhai Heng did not take that boy seriously. However, if that boy dared to cause trouble for his business deal, then Yun Tao could not blame him for being ruthless.
He was merely his cousin and not his biological brother. If it were his big brother, then he would have thought about letting this matter slide, but Yun Tao was just his cousin. He was not going to give in to him this time. If Yun Tao dared to harm him, then he would bash his head open!
