Reborn with a Space: Hoarding Food and Raising My Kid
Chapter 37 - 31: Following the Pattern
Flora Bloom had already prepared the necessary item to deal with the little white tiger.
A piece of fresh meat, one she’d bought at a supermarket before, appeared in Flora Bloom’s hand as she slowly approached the little white tiger.
The little white tiger rolled over and yawned. Though its eyes remained closed, Flora Bloom noticed its tail had curled up.
It had clearly noticed her deliberate approach.
Flora Bloom knew how powerful evolved creatures were and feared an attack. So, while still some distance away from the white tiger, she tossed the fresh meat over.
As expected, the white tiger was already awake and extremely alert.
Before the fresh meat could even hit the ground, a bolt of lightning struck it, releasing a fragrant, charred aroma.
Drawn by the smell, the little white tiger stared at the piece of meat on the ground for a moment, then happily scampered over and gobbled it up in a few bites.
Flora Bloom suddenly noticed two very dark marks on the other side of the little white tiger’s belly. The fur around them was somewhat sunken, a clear sign of injury.
’This little white tiger’s power is already unfathomable. What could possibly have injured it?’
After finishing the meat, the little white tiger suddenly let out a roar at Flora Bloom.
Unfortunately, the white tiger was too small, and its roar still had a kitten-like quality to it, making it hard for Flora Bloom to suppress a laugh.
But seeing the electricity crackling around the little white tiger’s body, Flora Bloom flinched slightly and took out another piece of fresh meat.
This time, she held it in her hand, wanting the little white tiger to come and eat from it directly. ’Even if it hits me with a bolt of lightning, as long as I can touch it, I’ll have succeeded.’
However, the little white tiger’s wariness surpassed even Monkey Three’s. Seeing that Flora Bloom was holding the meat instead of tossing it, a flash of lightning struck her wrist with perfect accuracy.
Pain shot through Flora Bloom’s wrist, and she couldn’t hold onto the meat. Fearing the white tiger would attack again, she hastily retreated behind a large tree.
’I was too careless.’ Successfully capturing Monkey Two and Monkey Three back-to-back had made her a little overconfident.
Looking at the charred wound on her wrist, she realized her entire arm had gone numb. Fear suddenly gripped Flora Bloom. ’So what if I have my dimension? If this white tiger’s attack had been just a little stronger, a single bolt of lightning could have killed me. I wouldn’t have had time to escape into the dimension at all.’
She touched her abdomen, gave up on the idea of pulling the white tiger into her dimension, and prepared to leave.
But just then, a bolt of lightning even larger than the last one struck the ground in front of her, blasting out a crater the size of a bowl.
The little white tiger, still looking adorably naive, watched her with sparkling eyes. The kitten-like roars came one after another, as if it were summoning its companions.
But after a good while, there was no response.
Just as it was wondering where its underlings had gone and why they dared to ignore its summons, Flora Bloom suddenly stopped in her tracks.
Suddenly, Monkey Two and Monkey Three appeared in front of Flora Bloom.
Upon seeing the little white tiger, Monkey Two and Monkey Three immediately began to back away in fear. Seeing their soaking-wet fur, Flora Bloom had no doubt that the two rascals had just jumped into the river to guzzle down spiritual water.
But because of this, after the two of them appeared, the little white tiger stopped roaring. Instead, it walked over to Monkey Two and Monkey Three, sniffed their fur, and even gave them a lick.
Terrified, Monkey Two and Monkey Three stood frozen in place, trembling and not daring to move a muscle.
Seeing that her goal was achieved, Flora Bloom recalled Monkey Two and Monkey Three. ’Now to see if the temptation of spiritual water works on this little white tiger, too!’
Seeing its two underlings suddenly vanish right before its eyes startled the little white tiger. It turned to Flora Bloom and began baring its fangs.
’Not good,’ Flora Bloom thought, quickly taking out a piece of frozen meat soaked in spiritual water and tossing it toward the little white tiger.
The little white tiger watched with wide eyes as the meat, reeking of Spiritual Energy, was thrown toward it. Before it could even land, the tiger leaped up, caught it in its mouth, chewed a few times, and swallowed.
Still wanting more, the little white tiger licked its lips and stared intently at Flora Bloom, as if pressuring her to produce more meat.
Flora Bloom grinned. ’Here’s my chance.’
Another piece of fresh meat appeared in her hand, only this one hadn’t been soaked in spiritual water. She tossed the meat to the little white tiger. It leaped up, caught it, and had just swallowed it after a few chews when it suddenly sensed something was wrong. It leaped in front of Flora Bloom and let out a threatening growl.
Unflustered, Flora Bloom took out another piece of fresh meat, also not soaked in spiritual water.
The little white tiger went up and sniffed it. There was no scent of spiritual water. It looked up and roared at Flora Bloom.
’This human girl actually dared to trick it!’
With that, the lightning on the little white tiger’s body began to gather again, aimed directly at Flora Bloom.
But Flora Bloom quickly took out another piece of fresh meat. This one was soaked in spiritual water.
She held her hand out toward the little white tiger. It gave Flora Bloom a human-like glare, as if to say, ’If you dare trick me again, I’ll eat you.’
The little white tiger sniffed the meat in Flora Bloom’s hand.
’It’s that familiar scent.’
It no longer cared that the meat was in the human girl’s hand; it opened its mouth and bit down.
But in the next second, the little white tiger suddenly vanished, reappearing in another dimension.
It had just finished the meat in its mouth when it looked up and saw a world filled with dense Spiritual Energy. The densest concentration was coming from the river. And so, with a single leap, the little white tiger plunged into the water, joining the army of creatures currently drinking thirstily by the riverside.
Flora Bloom observed the situation inside her dimension and was overjoyed. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
’Heaven gave me a second chance at life; it wasn’t going to let me die so easily.’ The risk had been enormous, but she had succeeded.
Once this white tiger grew up, it would be an absolutely terrifying existence.
The Thunder Element was the rarest of all awakened superpowers. Anyone who awakened it was destined to become a powerhouse who could dominate a region. Unfortunately, users with the Thunder Ability were far too few—there might not even be one in a hundred thousand people.
In her past life, the number one expert on the superpower rankings was a Thunder Element powerhouse. He had once single-handedly slaughtered an army of over a thousand zombies, which just went to show how tyrannical the Thunder Ability was.
He was also the only powerhouse Flora Bloom knew of who had awakened a Thunder Ability.
This was even more true for evolved creatures.
Thunder and lightning were already the most volatile energies in the world; evolved creatures that could control the Power of thunder and lightning were even rarer. There were certainly fewer of them than humans who had awakened the superpower.
Just then, a mental message came from Vert, informing her that its battle was over.
Flora Bloom took a sip of spiritual water and strolled over.
The scene before her made Flora Bloom burst out laughing.
"HAHAHA, what are these? Pheasants or ostriches?"
Before her, two plucked, featherless creatures lay motionless on the ground. If not for the rising and falling of their abdomens, Flora Bloom would have suspected they were two turkeys ready for the roasting spit.
Vert sent a message: "Master, those are two peacocks. They’re still breathing. I did what you said and didn’t land a killing blow, see?"
Vert explained to Flora Bloom, as if looking for praise.
Amused, Flora Bloom quickly tossed the two featherless peacocks into the river in her dimension to recover.
Then, she looked at the ball-shaped creature held up by one of Vert’s scythes.
"This... is that the pangolin?"
Vert quickly put the pangolin down and used its two large scythes to unroll the creature, which had curled into a ball to protect itself, spreading it out for Flora Bloom to inspect.
There was a deep, gear-shaped wound on the pangolin’s belly. One look and it was obvious who the culprit was: Vert.
Pleased, Flora Bloom patted Vert’s abdomen and tossed the pangolin into the dimension’s river as well.
Just as she was about to recall Vert back into the dimension, she realized she couldn’t see the Golden Cicada anywhere. "Vert, where did the Golden Cicada go?" she asked.
Just then, the Golden Cicada slowly crawled out from behind Vert.
The Golden Cicada looked utterly pitiful as it seemed to complain about its miserable state. All of its wings were broken, and a large hole had been pecked into its abdomen.
Seeing this, Flora Bloom immediately recalled Vert and the Golden Cicada, placing them by the river.
In the next instant, Flora Bloom herself vanished, reappearing inside the dimension.
She did this because she had noticed that the moment she recalled Vert and the Golden Cicada into the dimension, a group of evolved creatures, led by the white tiger, had squared off against them.
