Chapter 189 --Commander of the Demon Race
In Otto’s eyes, the only real threat on the entire All-Race Battlefield was John.
Once John died, there would be no one else on the entire battlefield capable of restraining him.
If he had not spent all this time concealing his identity and quietly grinding his way to Level 300, coupled with the demon race granting him the position of commander, he would not even have dared to come to this All-Race Battlefield and confront John.
"Heh. Now that I am the commander of the demon race, and we have even joined forces with the Swarmborn, the heavens are truly on my side."
A faint smile appeared on Otto’s face.
In his view, with two great races joining hands, no matter how powerful John might be, he was only a lone pillar trying to hold back a tidal wave. There was no possible way he could withstand the flood of two allied armies.
"Within three days, I will suppress the entire human race on behalf of the demon race.
"After that, I will lead the demon race into the human plane itself. We will seize the human women as slaves and slaughter every last human man!"
Otto’s eyes glowed crimson, filled with murderous intent.
At that moment, Pate’s voice continued to ring out.
"Second, you must exercise the utmost caution during this campaign. Never underestimate the human race, especially those special existences among them. I have heard that almost all the humans participating in this All-Race Battlefield are special existences.
"Even a lion uses its full strength when hunting a rabbit. Those special human existences are far from ordinary. Their destructive power surpasses that of every human warrior we have encountered in the past."
Hearing this, Otto glanced at the two demon race players standing nearby, both of whom were players just like him.
The reason Prince Pate was speaking this way was probably because he had heard some exaggerated rumors from these two demon race players.
"Hmph. Short-sighted fools."
In Otto’s opinion, the human players were nothing more than a bunch of trash.
Other than John, who was at least worthy of his attention, none of the others were worth worrying about.
Only these two idiots would think that the human players were powerful.
That was simply because they had never witnessed Otto’s true strength.
"The human players do not even have a single Level 300 expert among them. I could casually crush hundreds of them by myself.
"And this Demon Prince is actually telling me to be cautious? How laughably narrow-minded."
Otto dismissed the warning in his heart.
However, Pate seemed able to see through his thoughts. Once again, he spoke to remind him.
"Otto, you must not let your guard down. I have already investigated the human race’s current battle situation. To my surprise, they have taken the initiative to attack the surrounding territories, and several races have already had their lands conquered.
"An army made up of this group of special human existences is absolutely not to be underestimated!"
As he spoke, Prince Pate directed his voice toward the two demon race players.
"I am aware that these two special existences are far weaker than you.
"Therefore, you may make use of their unique characteristics. Have them toil for you and serve you like loyal hounds and horses."
Prince Pate showed no consideration whatsoever for the dignity of the two demon race players. He directly told them to work themselves to the bone for Otto.
Yet neither of them showed the slightest trace of anger. Instead, they bowed toward Otto, their faces filled with honor.
Otto, however, did not appreciate the gesture. He merely responded indifferently, "Understood. Thank you, Your Highness."
He did not think much of these two fellow members of the demon race.
They were only slightly above Level 200. At best, they could deal with ordinary human players. Before him, they were nothing more than insignificant beasts he could crush at will.
Prince Pate’s voice continued to echo throughout the palace.
"There is one final matter. During this expedition, you must establish proper contact with the Swarmborn. You must also bring additional treasures to protect yourself.
"You are the future of my demon race. Nothing must happen to you."
Otto immediately nodded.
"I understand, Your Highness."
"Good. Take these two with you and depart. At times, it would still be wise for you to listen to what they have to say."
Otto gave a slight nod. Then, with the two demon race players following behind him, he left the palace.
While on his way to mobilize the demon race army, Otto glanced at the two players beside him.
"When did the two of you reincarnate into the demon race?"
One of them replied, "Not long ago. We obtained reincarnation scrolls at the time, so we immediately used them to reincarnate as members of the demon race."
Upon hearing this, Otto let out a mocking laugh.
"You reincarnated so long ago, yet this is all the progress you have made? What have the two of you been doing all this time?"
The expressions of the two players stiffened, but neither dared to argue back.
Otto continued, "Although the demon race army marching against humanity this time numbers fewer than a hundred million, every last soldier is above Level 250.
"Yet the two of you are so pathetically weak that you will only hold us back. How disappointing."
His words instantly left the two players speechless.
"My lord, although our levels cannot compare to those of the demon race warriors, we should know far more about the human players than you do," one of the players could not help but say.
"You know more than I do?"
When Otto heard this, a contemptuous expression appeared on his face.
The corners of his mouth curled upward as he said arrogantly, "Hmph. Do you actually think that little bit of knowledge will be of any real use?"
"Without strength, no matter how much you know, it is nothing more than empty noise!"
As soon as he said this, the two players had no response.
They exchanged glances, staring helplessly at one another.
"Hmph."
Seeing that the two of them had been rendered speechless by his words, Otto continued smugly, "Remember this well. On the battlefield, strength is the only justice that matters.
"Our demon race possesses countless powerful warriors, as well as treasures that allow us to battle enemies above our own levels. Even if that John appears before us, he will never be a match for my demon race.
"And now, we even have the Swarmborn as our ally!"
"Without John, the rest of those human warriors are unbelievably weak. They amount to nothing at all. Once the Swarmborn hold John back, all the remaining humans will be nothing more than ants before my demon race. We can crush them all with a single palm."
Having said this, Otto fell silent.
Next, he would have to make his plans carefully. Ideally, he would wipe out the human race in one fell swoop!
...
Crane Spirit Clan Territory.
Alan had just led his battle legion in slaughtering every last member of the Crane Spirit Clan in this territory and successfully occupied the land.
His face was brimming with excitement.
"Taking down a major territory has directly provided us with a huge amount of resources. We even gained a massive amount of EXP from it. As expected, war is still the fastest way to level up."
His eyes flickered as he began to consider his next move.
"At present, the nearest territory to this place belongs to the demon race. Although the Guild Leader warned us that the demon race is anything but ordinary, with humanity’s current morale and strength, we absolutely have a chance to test ourselves against them."
Once the thought occurred to him, Alan immediately gave the order.
"Our next target is the demon race territory!"
...
At that very moment, inside the demon race territory, more than a hundred million demon race warriors had already been divided into 132 legions and arranged in perfect formation.
Under Otto’s supreme command, over a hundred demon race commanders each led a demonic legion of their own!
Every single demon race commander was at least Level 300, their strength terrifyingly formidable.
As the overall commander, Otto hovered in midair.
He looked down at the demon race warriors beneath him and broke into a wide grin.
"Excellent. You all look battle-ready.
"Everyone, the human race is right before our eyes. It is time for us to make our move."
A terrifying burst of murderous aura erupted from Otto’s scarlet eyes.
"Demon legions, march with me!"
