He imagined himself to be a good man who was not affiliated with the Law of Conquering and asked himself what he would do.

Kael simulated reality and different scenarios in his mind and realised that he would have done something similar, that’s if he even understood what the gods were doing.

He would openly support the Highest Will and be true to stabilise the universe. But at the same time, he would also make plans just in case things failed.

The universe had never been wiped before, the Highest Will had full power concerning that kind of thing and it was unclear how he was going to do it.

It may not be as easy as it sounded which is why he had not yet done it and was waiting for a trigger. It also probably involved the Other Law.

At the same time, Kael reassessed all that Reincarnation had said and found that there was a lot of trouble actually.

First of all, the universe is currently becoming very unstable because of a lot of reasons.

For one, there was a cancerous baby universe within the main universe. And that cancerous little universe was growing pretty fast.

Secondly, the master of that cancerous universe had the potential to be a god. If not for the Alphaverse, this wouldn’t be a problem.

For many years, Primordials have been nipped in the bud before they could evolve and become too strong.

But the Alphaverse shielded Kael from the Rules of the Highest Will now. He could do many things and get away with it as long as he was in the Alphaverse.

The issue was that most of the laws Kael would break and was already breaking, would indirectly affect the main universe later on.

Phestus was currently creating thousands of ownerless Heavenly Beacons, that alone was bound to shatter the balance very soon.

Then, there were the various immortals who had left Original Heaven right now and we’re resetting the order of the cosmos.

The Ancient Felines, the dragons, the ants. Funny enough, the wolves were actually one of the races that were starting to cause a ruckus and even they were directly funded by the Lion Civilization.

Gabriel was still out there too.

The Tortoise and Turtles, the Horror Heaven, the yet to be found Octopuses, and the clones of Origin.

Even the gods contributed to the current instability and they knew it.

But how did things even get to this level? Kael wondered. He was also trying to understand things from the Highest Will’s perspective now that he knew a little about what was going on.

The only reason the Highest Will allowed Kael to reincarnate with those memories in the first place was that he intentionally wanted to give Kael the edge.

’She said it herself,’ Kael thought as he adjusted his weight on the crystal throne and rested the side of his head on his raised knuckles.

’The Highest Will hardly does anything for nothing.

How could he, the Steward of the Universe, actively prevent others from reaching godhood while also giving someone like me the tools to reach godhood?

No.

Not unless the tools, the inheritance, and the power I started with were meant for godhood.

They were meant for something else.

It was always about stability...’

Kael’s Law of Wisdom operated at its maximum, allowing him to connect dots as he sat down there.

In front of his eyes, a golden screen with a rough three-dimensional holographic chart appeared.

Kael started to visually map out some things based on the information he knew now.

’The Highest Will did not reincarnate me with memories to get stronger and become very powerful.

For eons, he has been holding so many creatures from reaching godhood, he would not start with me.

But, it makes sense now.

He has been interfering every step of the way.

He restricted Alan.

He probably only observed Bethel, but he might have guided Ishat.

He might have been responsible for the death of that fourth one, he was the one who gave Silax the keys and heavenly beacons to Leonine Heaven.

He was the one who came and hindered Jin again.

He was the one who allowed Derylia to be so wayward.

He was the one who allowed Ibadon to be such a difficult enemy. He was the one.

Ibadon did not exist because of the Oblivion Law. He existed to stop Noel and the lions from growing too much.

And the lions, being as powers they were, also served as a limiter for other races. The lions alone could stunt the growth of many creatures in their quest for dominance.

The Highest Will knew this and had me rise up to bring them back up to their glory days.

Perhaps, if I had grown too powerful, there was already an enemy waiting for him. Perhaps I have already met that enemy.

Or is it both?

Who knows what he has been allowing them to get away with, with the intention of them coming after me?

Checks and balances on a scale that could never be imagined by the mortal mind, it was a grand scheme that had no end.

Everyone is truly just a chess piece.

Nothing but pawns for him to find meaning and fulfil his purpose of keeping the stability of the universe in check.

What he never accounted for was the sudden and spontaneous creation of the Alphaverse.

Or was it the preparations from Noel that changed everything?

Noel must have known something. He intentionally manipulated the strings of fate to lead me to be born on Eridoria.

How? Did the Highest Will know I would be reborn there? Or did his calculations only extend to the memories and inheritance?

Or was it Reincarnation?

When did she start her own schemes? How did she enmesh it so well without altering the Highest Will?

How?...’

The more Kael came to some conclusions, the more questions he had unanswered. The fact that Reincarnation had also asked him for something very costly did not help matters as Kael had to think very carefully before he made any decision.

And he wanted to cover as much ground as possible.

Right now, Kael was not a player in the grand scheme, not anymore. He was creating and designing his own game and he had better figure something out if not his game would crash hard on him.
