After the greetings, the time flew by, and soon the first class began, with nearly half of the classmates having changed.

Our homeroom teacher stepped up on the podium, addressing us.

"Good morning, everyone. Since new face may not know, I am Phyllis. Please call me Phyllis-sensei. We only have about half a year left, so let's make it a productive time."

Phyllis-sensei continued to be the homeroom teacher of Class-1. I guess, since the class reshuffle was only meant for students, it made sense classroom teachers would remain the same regardless.

I was glad she'd been continuing as our class teacher. After her, the co-homeroom teacher introduced herself, she was, of course, Ladvena-sensei.

Class-1 also had a second co-homeroom teacher, Mukai-sensei, but he was there in case of emergency, so he wasn't present. If anything, I heard he'd been the backup for multiple classes. Apparently, he was providing assistance to newly hired teachers. But I wonder how he would be assisting them given his taciturn personality.

After the teachers' introductions, it was time for a long homeroom session for student self-introductions.

Nearly half the class had changed, after all. Most of them I knew, but there were a few I hadn't spoken to before.

"I'm Riyana, previously a student of Class-5. My go-to weapon is the spear, and my job is «Ice Lancer». I currently belong to the A-rank guild, «Sun Hunter». Nice to meet you all."

Ah, I remember seeing her in the class competition. So, an Ice Lancer, huh? She's got a pretty good job.

The job, «Ice Lancher», had a particularly convenient skill—«Ice Gliding». It was capable of freezing the ground beneath one's feet, making it quite convenient to reach out for small islands surrounded by water bodies to claim those treasure chests.

Plus, it looks incredibly cool. It was a pretty popular job.

"I'm Nagi, also coming from Class-5! Everyone, nice to meet you. Oh, my job is Raven, so I'm good at stealth-type skills. I'm affiliated with the B-rank guild, Success Brain."

She was a complete new face to me. Well, I did see her chatting merrily with Rina. I see, so she's from Class-5.

Raven was a stealth-type job that excelled at surprise attacks and could contribute to combat as a decoy tank. Oh, a decoy tank was a skill that shifts aggro onto something or transfers it to an avatar, primarily assisting the main tank in building aggro or substituting for a tank caught up in dire scenarios.

Instead of two tanks, you could say it enhances one tank, strengthening the tank's aggro to increase combat stability. However, its combat ability itself wasn't particularly high, so you would see fights taking a long run. Well, since it's a stealth-type job focused on avoiding combat, you could also choose to bypass battles and advance quickly, making it a job with high support capabilities in dungeon exploration.

And the B-rank guild, Success Brain. I recall they were an up-and-coming guild that beat the then B-rank guild «Temple Saber» to enter the B-rank.

"Um, I'm Aisha, and I'm continuing in Class 1. My job is «Shadow», and my guild is the C-rank «Dark Tower». Nice to meet you."

She was a slightly timid, braided, and bespactacled bookworm type girl.

Among the initial girls of Class-1, excluding Eden's members, she was one of the few to keep her position in the class alongside Miyu.

Her level was so-so, but she'd done good enough in the Inter-class competition, and scored extremely well, thus cementing her position.

She had managed to stay active for quite a long time in the intense skirmish moments. Though she was unfortunately eliminated when we fought Class-8 near the end, her contributions were significant.

«Shadow» was a magic category job that manipulated shadow, as the name implied. It excelled in various fronts—like interception, attack, and defense—but in particular, its crowd control range was impressive. She had been a good help in the competition as such.

But, «Dark Tower», eh? It's a new name to me.

"Many of you probably know me, but I'll introduce myself again. I'm Lana of the C-rank guild, Eden. I'm continuing in Class 1. Nice to meet you all."

The new students in the classroom stirred slightly as Lana introduced herself, but it quickly subsided. Lana has been told to keep her job hidden, so she won't be introducing it. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

Actually, I also introduce myself without revealing my job. I had a hunch I would be constantly swamped in annoyance if I revealed «Gloria Salvator». For now, I'd like to wait for the right time to reveal it, just like Lana.

And so, listening to my classmates' self-introductions, everything ended smoothly without any trouble.

Unlike the quartet's scene last time, there was no chaos this time. It's truly peaceful~!

I wonder if removing the level cutoff in the score helped much? ...Never mind. It's probably just because everyone here is nice, yeah.

"So, is Zephyr-kun okay to be the class leader?"

"Yes, I don't mind."

This was also decided smoothly.

So, I'll be taking on the role of class leader for the second half of the first year as well.

I asked Lamda—his seat was before me—if he was okay with it. "I'll leave it to you," he said, so it went smoothly. It's truly peaceful~!

On that note, my seat was the same as before, in the very back by the hallway. And instead of «Fried Pride», Mert, Reglam, Kiel, and Lamda were filling the seats.

The seats that used to be so noisy were eerily quiet.

I wonder if the quartet was doing alright~.

Anyway, I guess it's time to briefly introduce some information about classes other than Class-1. In particular, the «New Grade» that had everyone's attention.

The academy meticulously prepared for this over several months, so the transfers were completed without a hitch. There were no reports of confusion.

20% of students transferred to a different course. Many students had hoped to transfer, so the academy was reportedly contemplating whether they should implement a mass class reshuffle system like this for next year, or to create a new system for mass course transfers.

Given the trend, I think we might be introduced to even more reformed systems.

Perhaps even more new systems will be decided by next year.

And then, coming to students of «Combat Department - New Grade».

There were arrangements for other departments, too, but I was lacking in details over them. The information about the combat department was easy since it was just right next to us, and many of our guild members were attending it.

Including «Eden» and «Arc-Arcadia», a total of eight students had gone through «Job Transfer System» from our end. They're—Aegis, Orihime-san, Shalon, Fraumina, Katalina, Rosetta, Elisa, and Fina.

Among them, Aegis, Elisa, and Fina were initially our seniors, and they would've graduated next year if they'd followed their original schedule.

But with the new system, which also meant they get to do-over—I mean, there would be no meaning if they graduated with half-hearted knowledge over their new job and knowledge pertaining to it—in the New Grade. And while Aegis had changed her job much earlier, she, too, was eligible for the new system.

Rina was also eligible, but the latter declined and remained a first-year student.

Now, coming to the most anticipated class placement for the New Grade—Aegis, Orihime, and Katalina apparently secured their seat in the Class-1.

Aegis's reason was clear cut. She was an unstoppable force in the competition, and she excelled both in Job's ranking and her level. She'd quite the smart for academics, and was expected to improvise further.

Meanwhile, Orihime-san was the top scorer in the exam for «New Grade». Needless to say, her seat must've been decided then. Even Katalina-san, who ranked 4th in last term exam, scored 3rd rank here. The 2nd ranker was apparently a senior from 3rd year. She'd grumbled quite a bit about that.

Anyway, she also managed to get in Class-1. Albeit, her close friends, Fraumina and Rosetta, struggled despite being tutored by Katalia and Rina, and unfortunately ended up in Class-2 of New Grade. I still think that's pretty amazing though.

On the other hand, Sharon, Elisa, and Fina, who were placed in the same Class-51, were in Class 3. In my opinion, they made an amazing leap.

After all, the «Combat Department - New Grade» alone had a staggering 161 classes.

The teacher's reaction over "A-all of them are high-ranking job holders?!" in particular was amusing when we went over to take a peek.

The students looked eager when he looked around. They probably had thought we'd come up for recruitment. Uh-huh, I feel bad to burst their bubble, but we're just hanging around~.

The first day of Class Reshuffle elapsed as we engaged in such activities. And jumping to the after classes of the next day, we, the «Eden» and «Arc-Arcadia», finally welcomed our new members.
