Zi Yi waited until Mrs. Lu finished eating before Lu Jingye then sent her back to the villa near M.Uni.

Before Lu Jingye left, he said to her, “Remember to have your dinner.”

“Got it.” Zi Yi pushed Lu Jingye and said, “Aren’t you busy right now? Quick go and do your work. Come back early tonight, I’ll be waiting for you.”

Lu Jingye looked at his wife who was chasing him away and the corner of his lips curved up. While walking, he asked, “What do you feel like eating? I’ll bring it home for you later?”

“I want to drink milk tea.”

“You can get the housekeeper to prepare it for you.”

“I just want to drink the milk tea sold near M.Uni.”

“That won’t do.”

Zi Yi pouted and said, “Then why did you ask me that in the first place?”

Lu Jingye was amused by her and he stopped to talk to her. “Anything that isn’t detrimental to your health, I will buy them for you.”

“Milk tea isn’t unhealthy. You’re just being a worrywart.”

Zi Yi simply walked away after that. She did not wish to continue talking to him.

Lu Jingye looked at her back profile and waited for her to head down to the laboratory, before he headed outside. Along the way, he said to the housekeeper, “Prepare some milk tea for Yiyi. Put in more dried fruits and use flower tea for the tea.”

The housekeeper smiled deep down inside as he said, “I understand, Second Young Master Lu.”

As soon as Zi Yi entered the laboratory, she started designing the frame of the little robot. As the materials were all available in the laboratory, plus the place had the equipment for making a robot, she proceeded to other rooms after she finished the design.

By the time she felt hungry, she checked the time. It was already half past eight in the evening.

She touched her tummy and walked out of the laboratory. She saw the housekeeper standing outside the door as though he was anxiously waiting for her.

At the sight of her coming out, the housekeeper finally breathed a sigh of relief. “Second Young Madam, you’re finally out.”

The housekeeper said, “I tried contacting you and got the robot to look for you. But you didn’t come up despite that. Dinner has been prepared long ago. Have a seat first, I’ll serve the dishes.”

The housekeeper headed to the kitchen after saying that.

Zi Yi walked into the living room. As soon as she reached the dining room, she received Dou Xiangling’s phone call.

Zi Yi casually asked, “You’re back from bringing the students around?”

Dou Xiangling’s voice also carried a hint of a smile. “Yes, I just came back. Are you still in the research R&D Center?”

“Nope, I’m near M.Uni.”

“I bought some local specialty products. Come over to M.Uni tomorrow and I’ll pass them to you.”

“Okay, sounds good.”

The both of them hung up the phone after a short chat.

After dinner, the housekeeper served her a cup of milk tea.

Zi Yi looked at the cup of milk tea where at least half of it was filled with fried fruits and asked with a smile, “Housekeeper, are you sure this is milk tea?”

Even though she said that she still happily scooped the dried fruits up with a spoon and ate them.

The housekeeper had a smile on his face as he said, “This was ordered for you by the Second Young Master before he left. If you like it, I’ll make it again for you tomorrow.”

Zi Yi nodded her head. “It’s very delicious.”

After Zi Yi finished drinking the milk tea, she went back down to the underground laboratory.

She only came out from the laboratory after Lu Jingye had returned.

Zi Yi asked while they walked, “What movements are there on the other side?”

What she was referring to were the clones.

“There’s nothing. They hid themselves very well.”

“Why do I feel that right now it is the calm before the storm? That side had sent out several clones and they must be thinking of doing something to us. Other than making Luo Ran disturb us, they hadn’t done anything else. I feel that it’s a little abnormal.”

“Mhmm. I will get my men to keep watch.”

While talking, the both of them headed upstairs.

Zi Yi headed to the washroom, while Lu Jingye went to grab her a set of pajamas.

When Zi Yi reached the bathroom door, she suddenly turned around and asked, “Did Auntie Luo and her family come by the office today?”

“Auntie Luo came alone. Luo Qian and Luo Ran didn’t come.”

Zi Yi nodded and went into the washroom.

When Lu Jingye made his way inside, she was brushing her teeth.

Lu Jingye walked past to help her fill up the bathtub. While doing so, he said, “Don’t soak for too long today. When you’re coming out, be careful not to slip or just call for me.”

Zi Yi stood behind him and looked at his back profile. She purposely asked when she heard what he said, “Daddy Lu, exactly how worried are you about me?”

Upon hearing what Zi Yi called him, he turned around and pinched her nose as he lectured her with a stern expression. “Don’t call me that.”

Zi Yi grinned at him and insisted. “Daddy Lu~”

In the next second, her body fell into Lu Jingye’s broad arms. He gently pinched her chin and both of them made eye contact with each other.

Zi Yi saw a flame burning within his eyes.

Following that, she could feel Lu Jingye’s heated breath. “Naughty girl. Just because I can’t do anything to you right now, you’re acting up?”

Zi Yi raised her hand and held his neck while she smiled like a lotus flower. “You’re the old-fashioned one who thinks that you can’t do anything to me at this point in time.”

Lu Jingye released his hold on her chin and his wide hands touched her rounded belly without saying anything.

Looking at his serious and rigid appearance, Zi Yi felt a tickle in her heart. She pulled him closer and kissed him on the lips.

Their kisses would stop at the most heated moment nowadays. Lu Jingye was afraid that he might lose control and harm her and the babies.

However, Zi Yi was unable to understand his good intentions at all. She would try all sorts of methods to provoke him. Soon, their breathing became rushed while their breaths were heated.

Lu Jingye lifted Zi Yi onto the sink and held her waist with one hand while his other hand pressed on the back of her head.

The temperature inside the bathroom seemed to be boiling. The mist caused by the hot water in the bathtub started gathering and it soon floated over and surrounded their figures.

In the end, both of them came out together from the washroom. Lu Jingye put her down on the bed and went to pour a glass of milk for her.

While drinking milk, Zi Yi would sneak a glance in his direction. Her eyes revealed her emotions of successfully managing to achieve a small win.

Even though they did not go all the way, she felt a sense of accomplishment for successfully making this man lose control.

Lu Jingye raised his hand and touched her head. He originally wanted to say something harsh, but at the thought of how he lost control, the words that came to his mouth ended up staying inside.

He simply took his phone that was placed on the side.

His eyes went dark at the sight of the notification.

“What’s the matter?”

Zi Yi reached over to look at his screen.

Lu Jingye passed the phone to her and said, “The progress on Yunxiao’s end isn’t too optimistic. A few of the subordinates he brought along with him have all disappeared.”

Zi Yi furrowed her brows and said, “Ask him how did those people disappear.”

Lu Jingye and Lu Yunxiao had a special way of contacting each other. In addition, Zi Yi had modified all the communication devices he had on him and so there was no need to worry about their conversation being eavesdropped on.

Lu Jingye sent Lu Yunxiao a message. Both of them were originally planning to wait a while when Lu Jingye’s phone started to ring first.

He answered the call and after hearing what the other party said, he said, “I’ll be there right away.”

After hanging up the phone, he said to Zi Yi. “Auntie Luo fell down the stairs. I’ll make a trip over.”

At the sight of him standing up, Zi Yi followed suit and said, “I’ll go with you.”

Lu Jingye nodded his head and went to get their clothes to change into. Following that, they headed downstairs together.
