The next day, before Su Yan even got out of bed, a group of old ministers was already waiting outside the Lingxiao Palace.

The servants saw that the Empress was not yet awake, so they did not inform her. When Su Yan awoke, it was around a little past eight in the morning.

Meanwhile, the ministers outside had been standing and waiting for half an hour.

Listening to the eunuch Little Luzi’s account, Su Yan smiled faintly and said lazily:

"Let them wait; I have yet to wash and have my meal."
