REINCARNATION OF THE STRONGEST WAR HERO - Chapter 341: A Wave

Both Yuhe and Min Chong froze.

'Is he going through another breakthrough?'

The exact same thought flashed through both of their minds at the same time.

The bolt of lightning crashed down from the sky and struck Logan directly. Dust and air exploded outward like a tidal wave.

Everyone instinctively lowered their head and covered their eyes.

"No..... Young master!" Hueng Long shouted in panic.

Chianxu shut her eyes in depression, too.

"Huh! So much for awakening the golden dragon's inheritance. That's tribulation lightning for breaking through to the emperor realm. No way one can survive that without any protection artifact." Yuhe whispered.

The higher a realm someone was trying to break through, the more devastating the tribulation. So, to achieve higher realms, everyone would cater to different means to survive the tribulation.

So, seeing Logan facing the tribulation lightning without any means, everyone knew what the outcome would be.

He was already a martial saint. The tribulation lightning to reach the emperor's realm was so devastating that it would turn someone into meat paste instantly. No matter how sturdy their bodies were.

Yet when the light faded, something unexpected happened.

Everyone had stopped fighting due to the sudden lightning. Now they slowly straightened their backs and looked toward where the sizzling bolt had struck.

Logan sat there. Just like before. Lightning crawled across his body like sparkling serpents, yet not a single wound could be seen. Even his breathing wasn't uneven.

Everyone froze. Not just the evil spirit family members, but the spirit family members as well.

"That's impossible." A guardian from the Chong family muttered.

"He… he withstood the tribulation just like that?" Min Chong's eyes widened in disbelief.

"No… something is wrong," Yuhe spoke under his breath.

His gaze remained fixed on the lightning dancing around Logan's body, the remnants of the thundering bolt. He was closest to Logan. So he could see everything clearly. Something wasn't right.

"This lightning… It's nothing like tribulation lightning." He spoke slowly, as if trying to convince himself. "Tribulation lightning is like a punishment from the heavens. Violent. Destructive. It shows no mercy and no bias. It exists to punish those who dare to reach for the sky and challenge the heavens themselves."

"If one survives it, they prove their worth and break through."

"But if they fail…" Yuhe paused for a moment.

"Then they can only perish."

His eyes narrowed as he looked up, the thunderclouds swirling above Logan. "But this lightning… it feels completely different."

Yuhe's voice grew quieter, almost dazed. "It doesn't feel like punishment at all… It feels more like a…"

He struggled to find the right word. "a blessing."

Yuhe stood there, stunned, his mind racing as he tried to comprehend what was unfolding before his eyes.

Everyone knew that the Golden Dragon's legacy would grant unimaginable power to its chosen inheritor — power capable of opening the path to the Upper realm.

But no one had ever known what kind of power it truly was.

Then suddenly...

Something clicked inside Yuhe Feng's mind.

His pupils shrank. "I-It's…" he stammered.

"It's enlightenment."

Amid the confusion and stunned realization spreading across the battlefield, another bolt of lightning began gathering within the swirling clouds.

The sky trembled.

Boom!

The second streak of lightning tore through the sky and slammed directly into Logan.

The impact exploded outward like before. But this time... Even stronger. Yuhe and Chianxu were forced several steps back as the violent shockwave rippled through the air.

Yet just like before…

The lightning failed to harm Logan.

Or perhaps more accurately...

It had no intention of harming him at all.

Instead, a deep, low, ancient hum began resonating through the air, like the echo of something primordial awakening.

The leaves of nearby trees began to tremble violently. Then they started moving. Not because of the wind. But as if they were being pulled by an unseen force.

Another bolt of lightning crashed down.

Boom!

The invisible pulling force grew stronger.

Everyone present could feel it now.

The weapons in their hands trembled violently, vibrating as though trying to escape their owners.

A Martial King suddenly lost his grip on his sword.

Clang!

The weapon fell to the ground… yet instead of remaining there, it slowly began sliding across the earth.

Toward Logan.

Loose debris scattered across the battlefield began lifting into the air. Broken stones and fragments of armor hovered unnaturally as if gravity itself had lost control.

All of it drifted toward a single point.

Toward the young man sitting calmly at the center of the storm.

Everyone stared in stunned disbelief.

None of them had ever witnessed anything like this before.

Another bolt of lightning crashed down from the heavens.

Boom!

This time, the force intensified drastically.

Leaves tore violently from the branches of trees and were sucked into the swirling current of energy.

More weapons slipped free from their owners' hands.

But unlike before...

They didn't even fall to the ground. The invisible force was now so strong that the weapons were dragged straight through the air, flying toward Logan like offerings being presented before a king.

"What the hell is happening?" Min Chong growled, his expression twisted with both anger and confusion.

Just then...

A brilliant beam of golden light suddenly pierced through the thunderclouds. It descended from the heavens like a pillar of divine radiance, engulfing Logan completely.

The entire battlefield fell silent. Logan's eyelids trembled slightly.

Then...

Slowly. Very slowly.

He opened his eyes.

Brilliant light continued to pour down upon him like a heavenly waterfall.

Logan calmly tilted his head.

His gaze fell upon Yuhe.

The dagger was still pressed against Chianxu's throat.

For a brief moment, no one dared to breathe.

Then Logan raised his hand.

Instantly...

Every weapon that had been drifting toward him froze in midair. The next moment, they all dropped to the ground simultaneously.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

The leaves stopped tearing themselves from the trees, settling gently back to the earth.

Logan slowly lifted two fingers. With a casual motion, he waved them through the air from right to left.

Whoosh!

The dagger in Yuhe's hand was suddenly yanked away by an invisible force, shooting into the distance like a meteor.

Silence....
