Chapter 347: A Saint Against Sovereigns

Bam! Bam! Bam!

The ground shattered beneath the relentless onslaught. Dust and debris erupted in every direction, while the air grew suffocating under the weight of overwhelming killing intent.

Attack after attack rained down. Some sliced through empty air, missing their mark, while others struck with deadly precision.

The elders and members of both families watched in stunned silence — eyes wide, mouths agape — as Logan clashed head-on against four martial sovereigns. His earlier advantage — freezing them all at once with Dragon’s Glare was gone. The element of surprise he once held had completely vanished. He was still... a martial saint.

And yet, the battle unfolding before them defied all logic.

Tian Shin had believed this was his moment — his chance to finally defeat Logan, perhaps even capture him and use him as leverage to escape this deadly situation unscathed.

But Logan...

He was now fighting like a wild beast unleashed. Every killing blow that seemed destined to land was intercepted at the last instant — deflected by sudden bursts of magic or weapons flying in from impossible angles. And in return, his own attacks struck back again and again.

They weren’t fatal. Not even close. But still...

A martial saint, fighting four martial sovereigns at once, and not just surviving, but holding the advantage...

It was something no one would believe, even in their wildest dreams — unless they witnessed it with their own eyes.

A beam of spirit energy tore through the air, streaking straight toward Logan.

But just before it could strike...

Whoosh!

A greatsword came flying from a distance and slammed into it.

Boom!

The sword shattered into two pieces... but the attack was successfully intercepted.

Logan didn’t have time to react. Another attack was already closing in. He bent forward and pivoted on one leg, narrowly avoiding a piercing sword thrust. The blade brushed past his shoulder by a hair’s breadth.

The opponent followed up instantly, driving his knee forward.

Logan clasped his palms together and blocked it head-on.

Bang!

The impact sent him flying backward nearly twenty meters. He landed on his feet but still skidded several more meters across the ground before stabilizing himself.

He glanced down at his palms. They were swollen... crimson... trembling slightly. "Just one mistake... and I’m done for," he muttered under his breath. "Every one of their attacks is meant to kill."

Without hesitation, he charged forward again. His breathing was growing uneven now. His chest rose and fell heavily with each passing second. But he pressed on anyway.

Logan rushed toward Tian Shin, but another martial sovereign was already on his tail.

Logan sensed it instantly. Without turning back, he flung his hand behind him. A blazing sphere of fire condensed and shot out.

Boom!

The pursuing martial sovereign blocked it — but smoke rose from his forearms as he was forced to halt.

In that brief moment...

Logan was already in front of Tian Shin. Tian Shin’s pupils shrank the instant their eyes met. That golden gaze. He knew what was coming.

Without hesitation, he shut his eyes tightly and threw his sword forward in a blind strike.

Logan leapt. His feet tapped against the blade mid-air, using it as a stepping point to propel himself forward. Lightning crackled wildly around his outstretched palm — like a raging serpent coiling and hissing with deadly intent.

He thrust it forward.

"Damn it! He’s going to die!" a martial sovereign from the Feng family roared as he lunged in.

Boom!

Logan’s fingers pierced flesh...

But not Tian Shin’s. The incoming martial sovereign had appeared between them, arms crossed in a desperate guard.

Before Logan could react...

Bam!

A fist came crashing in. Logan caught it from the corner of his eye. Time seemed to slow.

The fist touched his skin... Pressed deeper...

And then...

Whoosh!

Logan was blasted away, blood spraying through the air.

Thud!

His body slammed into the ground. Before he could even rise...

Another martial sovereign was already charging straight toward him, intent on ending his life.

Logan raised his hand, trying to cast a barrier spell...

But a sharp pain erupted within his chest. The last blow had been too heavy. His internal organs were finally damaged.

"Now..." Logan whispered weakly.

The charging martial sovereign closed in...

But just as the killing blow was about to fall...

A figure appeared between them.

He stepped forward and drove his knee upward, blocking the attack head-on.

Hueng Long.

The martial sovereign from the evil spirit family threw another punch...

But Hueng Long met it head-on, blocking with his palm before countering instantly with a strike of his own.

Boom!

The martial sovereign was blasted backward, his figure hurtling through the air. Moments later, more figures appeared, surrounding Logan.

Feng Dao. Wei Zhong. Han Rui. Shen Lian.

All five family heads now stood firmly before him. Hueng Long crouched down and helped Logan to his feet.

"I was beginning to think you would never ask for help, Young Master."

Logan let out a faint, helpless smile. "I wish I didn’t have to... But I’m glad I managed to hold on this long."

"Just glad?" Hueng Long let out a short breath, shaking his head. "Look around you, Young Master."

Logan followed his gaze.

The expressions on everyone’s faces were frozen — shock, disbelief, even fear.

"It will take them a long time to distinguish between reality and a dream," Hueng Long continued. "Even I can hardly believe what I’ve just witnessed." His eyes softened, filled with genuine respect. "What you’ve achieved today... is something unheard of in the entire history of cultivation."

"You’re exaggerating it," Logan said with a faint shake of his head. "I just got lucky... receiving some top-tier abilities. Nothing more."

"Power doesn’t bow to people at random, Young Master," Feng Dao spoke from the side, his voice calm yet firm. "It always finds the one who truly deserves it."

The others nodded in agreement.

Meanwhile, the martial sovereigns of the evil spirit families regrouped, gathering their forces behind them.

On the other side, the spirit family members assembled behind Logan and the five family heads.

The battlefield grew still.

It was nearing its end.
