"How powerful are Vampires and Lesser Vampires?" Inquired Argent curiously. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

"First, we should explain how they’re created...Vampires are former humans who were injected with the blood of an Elder Vampire and tranformed as a result. The original personality of the individual is effectively killed and replaced with a new personality that’s deeply loyal to the Elder Vampire who turned them, while maintaining the memories of the original personality.

Vampires can slightly change their appearance to more closely resemble humans, so a human who was turned into a Vampire could serve as a highly effective spy for the Elder Vampires. However, appearance is the only thing that they can revert to the same, their abilities are completely different...they can no longer use the Magic and Skills that they could before they were turned to a Vampire, so getting someone to show you their Magic is the easiest way to determine whether they’re human or a Vampire," Replied Lucifer.

"I see, so you’re saying there could be some Vampires in disguise hiding in the Dark Continent?" I surmised with a grimace.

"Yes, exactly. Now, as for how powerful they are...I would say they’re on the level of the Monsters you classify as Catastrophic Grade Threats. They’re strong, but even humans can defeat one. Hm, let’s see...yes, I would say that a human who has mastered Soul Weapon Ascension is quite capable of defeating a Vampire," She responded after mulling it over for a bit.

"That sounds right. And a Vampire’s regeneration is a fair bit slower than that of the Elder Vampires’ and us Demons. Additionally, their cores are bigger and less durable, and they can only move it around within their torsos, they cannot move it to their limbs and heads like the Elder Vampires and we Demons can," Added Satan with a nod.

"And as for Lesser Vampires, they are but mindless creatures with low intelligence. Vampires are created by Elder Vampires, and Lesser Vampires are created by Vampires. A Vampire injecting their blood into a human turns them into a Lesser Vampire, feral, aggressive beings that blindly follows whatever commands are issued to them by the Vampires. Like Vampires, they lose the ability to use the Magic and Skills that they could as humans, but they make up for it with fierce, wildly aggressive and reckless attacks with no regard for self-preservation," Said Frielektra with a look of disdain on her face.

Guess she must have had an unpleasant experience with Lesser Vampires in the past.

"It should be noted that Lesser Vampires cannot regenerate, they perish when you decapitate them. But it isn’t enough to just inflict a fatal injury...so long as they can move so much as a single finger, they’ll keep attacking," Chimed in Aratron with a slight shudder.

"And Lesser Vampires are comparable to low-Disastrous Grade Monsters in terms of the level of threat they pose, but their real threat lies in their numbers," Added Lucifer grimly.

"Alright, so Elder Vampires create Vampires, and Vampires in turn create Lesser Vampires. Hm...I don’t get it, why not only create Vampires?" I inquired uncertainly.

"Simple, because the Elder Vampires can only share their blood with a limited number of Vampires. Fifty, to be exact...now, I’m not sure many Elder Vampires are left, there used to be thirteen but I know from my own personal experience that at least three of them were killed over two centuries ago, and it’s likely that at least one or two more perished too. But let’s assume there are ten of them, just to be safe...they can each create fifty Vampires, with the exception of their leader, the Vampire King Dracula, who can create a hundred Vampires.

So, if there are ten Elder Vampires still alive, then they could turn a maximum of five hundred and fifty humans into Vampires. And the only way they can create a new one is if one of those five hundred and fifty is killed. However, Vampires don’t have a limit to how many Lesser Vampires they can create, so while the number of Vampires there are depends on the number of Elder Vampires, Lesser Vampires have no such restriction," Satan informed me.

"I see...that’s still a lot though. Upto ten Demonic Grade Threats, five hundred and fifty Catastrophic Grade Threats and possibly thousands upon thousands of Disastrous Grade Threats...," I muttered with a grimace.

Yeah, I really don’t like those odds...

"There is one area of weakness that we could-...or rather, need...-to exploit. And that’s the fact that Vampires cannot survive without Elder Vampires. If an Elder Vampire is killed, the every Vampire who received their blood will also die. In other words, if we kill every Elder Vampire, then every Vampire will die too.

That doesn’t apply to Lesser Vampires though...they’ll still remain and continue to attack everything they come across even if the Elder Vampires and Vampires are wiped out," Remarked Lucifer, before adding, "No matter how many Lesser Vampires there are, if all Vampires and Elder Vampires are wiped out, the Lessers will be reduced to nothing more than feral animals, with no one there to command them. They don’t have the intelligence to work together or carry out anything resembling tactics or strategy, they may even end up attacking each other."

"Okay, that’s definitely a glimmer of hope...I know it’ll be easier said than done, but all we need to do is eliminate the Elder Vampires and the core of the threat posed to us will be taken out of the equation, just like that," I replied with a nod, feeling significantly more optimistic about our odds.

"Yes, but like you said, that’s easier said than done...the Elder Vampires won’t recklessly expose themselves to danger in such a manner. It’ll be nearly impossible to get to them without having to go through scores of Lesser Vampires and Vampires first," Pointed out Satan.

"Hm...we should probably inform the other nations of the Dark Continent about this. It certainly wouldn’t hurt to get a few more opinions and perspectives into this matter before we make a decision. Plus, while Arcadia has plenty of power, we’re lacking in numbers. We easily have the smallest army in the Dark Continent, and if we’re going to have to go up against who knows how many Vampires, we’re going to need all the manpower we can get," I concluded with a sigh...
