Chapter 391: Chapter 391 - Vampire Attack(Part 17)

As the Vampire took out a Magic Item, I quickly shot towards him as fast as I could, as did Izzy, but we were too slow to react...he activated it well before we could reach him, casting a massive barrier around the surrounding area.

I took out the nullifying Magic Item and activated it, but it was no use, the barrier remained intact. Damn, I guess Lumena’s efforts didn’t pay off, after all...oh, well, no point in agonizing over it, we’ll just have to make do without it!

I then unleashed pressurized jets of flames from the soles of my feet to put on a sharp burst of speed, before whipping my blades across at the back of his neck as I closed in on him.

My eyes widened as he reaction with lightning speed, zipping down and evading the swing of my blades with ease, before swerving across the air as Izzy fired out a blast of blue flames at him, avoiding them before firing off a slashing wave of blood towards him.

She veered across to evade it, grimacing as it grazed the side of her right arm and drew out trickles of blood, before she chanted as the wound closed up...

"Now, Unlock Seal: Level 3!"

A burst of purple energy erupted out of her right eye as the black, bone-like layer around her eyes opened up, releasing sixty percent of her full power.

She then shot towards the Vampire, his eyes widening in surprise at the immense increase in her speed, before he quickly zipped away as she closed in on him, blue flames bursting out around her fists as she reached out to try and grab him.

He managed to evade her grasp, but she managed to graze his foot, setting it ablaze before he swiftly sliced it off as the flames began to spread.

He then turned his gaze forward as I came charging in towards him, before veering across as I closed in and slashed at him with my blades...damn it, he’s way too fast.

While I’m safe from his attacks for as long as my Intangibility Skill is active, I’m too slow to deal any damage...plus, I’ve already used up two minutes of the five minute time limit. And without my Intangibility Skill, my chances of surviving against him within this moonlight barrier are slim to none. Alright, then, looks like I don’t have the luxury of playing it safe, in which case...

"Initiate Skill: Limit Breaker," I chanted quietly as the Vampire easily evaded my slashes, my power surging immensely as my Skill gave me x15 multiplier boost to my strength, speed and senses.

"You need to know your place, human, it’s insulting that you would even think that you stand a chance against me with my full pow-...what!?" He exclaimed in disbelief, as I zipped towards him with an immense burst of speed and inflicted a deep slash across his right side, as I sliced through and severed his right arm from around the elbow.

"You were saying?" I inquired coldly, before twisting my body across in midair and whipping my right foot up towards him, slamming it against the middle of his face and sending him hurtling back through the air with a rapid spin.

That only worked because the sudden, drastic increase in my speed caught him off guard, but I’m still slower than him...it likely won’t take him long to adapt to my current state. But that’s fine, I’ll still be able to put up much more of a fight for as long as this Skill is active.

Like my Intangibility, it’s got a five minute time limit, after which I won’t be able to move a muscle for a whole minute...which means, we need to end this before I reach that time limit.

The Elder Vampire then sharply spread out his wings to cancel out the momentum and come to a halt, blood streaming out of his nostrils before he quickly zipped away as Izzy charged in towards him and fired out a fierce wave of blue flames at him.

I chased after him as he narrowly evaded her flames, before firing out bolts of lightning at him as Izzy reabsorbed her flames while simultaneously swinging her claws across to fire off a rapid, slashing wave of Negative Energy towards him. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

He weaved through the air to evade my lightning, before gritting his teeth as Izzy’s attack deeply sliced across his left side, right as I closed in on him and raised my blades.

At my current level of physical prowess, the boost I get from my Limit Breaker Skill puts my physical abilities slightly above that of the Demons and the Dragon Kings...in other words, right now, for these five minutes, the Elder Vampires at their full power are the only beings who can outmatch me physically. However, with Izzy here to fight alongside me, I’d say that more than makes up the difference.

I then slashed down the middle of his chest with one of my blades, before he roared furiously as he drove his claws towards my face, which phased right through before I unleashed a fierce thrust with my other blade, plunging it into his throat before giving it a violent twist, a choked gasp ringing out as blood poured out of his mouth.

I then swiftly pulled my blade back out and flew back as Izzy shot forward and unleashed a scorching wave of blue flames towards him, his eyes widening in alarm before he formed a wall of blood in the direction the flames were coming from and flew away as fast as he could.

The flames collided against his blood and vaporized it in a matter of seconds, before roaring forward and closing in on him.

He swerved away in desperation, the flames engulfing his right arm and spreading rapidly, before a slicing disk of blood burst out along his torso, severing his entire right side before the flames could spread any further.

"D-damn it...DAMN IT!!! What a disgrace...to think that I’d have to resort to my Unique Ability against a mere human and some half-breed freak!" He snapped furiously, a dark look in his eyes as his right side regenerated...
