Return of the Immortal Emperor Daddy
Chapter 505 - 506 Comparable to Zhen Yuanzi [Subscribe Request]
What exactly is Wuzhuang Temple? Who that has read *Journey to the West* wouldn’t know of it?
It is the residence of Zhen Yuanzi, who is also known as the Lord with the World. He is the ancestor of the Earth Immortals, so his strength cannot be underestimated. Wuzhuang Temple is also the location of the innately formed Ginseng Fruit Tree.
Does this place even deserve that name? was Wu Tian’s first thought.
A Daoist priest, who looked to be only thirteen years old, walked out of the temple.
He said, "I don’t know if you are fated for immortality, but please, come with me."
Wu Tian and the others followed him to an open space at Wuzhuang Temple. They saw that the six- and seven-year-old children they had encountered earlier were also there. The thirteen-year-old said his name was Taiyang, the seven-year-old was Lan Qingfeng, and the six-year-old girl was Lv Mingyue.
Upon seeing Wu Tian and the others, especially the little one, Lv Mingyue just rolled her eyes and turned her head away.
Lan Qingfeng, however, was somewhat polite and nodded at Wu Tian’s group.
Taiyang said, "Whether you are fated for immortality needs to be tested. Mingyue, you can demonstrate for them."
"Yes," Lv Mingyue replied. With a proud glance at Wu Tian and his companions, she walked to the great cauldron in the center, where incense was still burning. She stretched out her hand and placed it on the cauldron.
Taiyang said, "This cauldron is an immortal artifact. If one is fated for immortality, the cauldron will shake."
Indeed, as soon as Lv Mingyue placed her hand on it, the great cauldron visibly began to shake.
It only shook seven times, yet Lv Mingyue looked at Wu Tian and the others with a face full of pride. It was clear she was showing off.
She then walked aside without leaving. She wanted to see how Wu Tian and his group would make fools of themselves.
The children in the Abyss came from both the Underground World and the surface. Of course, they had forgotten their original identities. They had been too young. Now, they only knew themselves to be immortals, while Wu Tian and the others were complete mortals.
Lan Qingfeng sighed. "It’s alright even if you don’t gain the Immortal Cauldron’s recognition. All roads lead to Rome. If you can’t become an immortal, you can still be something else."
"Yeah, you’d better be something else," the six-year-old Lv Mingyue said proudly. "Not everyone has my good fortune, destined to become an immortal."
Immortals? Wu Tian shook his head, wanting to laugh out loud. What kind of immortals are these little brats?
Wu Tian glanced at the little one. "I’ll leave the face-slapping to you."
The little one immediately smiled and said, "OK!"
Ever since this child started cultivating the Wind and Cloud Overbearing Scripture, she hadn’t developed any other hobbies. There was only face-slapping!
The little one asked Qin Yuhan to put her down. Then, she hopped and skipped over to the great cauldron, stretching out her hand to place it on top.
HUMMMMM!
In an instant, the great cauldron seemed to cheer, its sound echoing through the space!
Then, as if it had gone mad, the cauldron began to shake. It moved so fast that afterimages appeared, and the entire open space fell utterly silent.
Seeing this, the people of the Daoist temple were completely astonished, looking dumbfounded.
As for Lv Mingyue, who had wanted to see the little one embarrass herself, her mouth was now agape and her eyes were bulging, dumbly staring at the scene.
Finally, she let out a loud wail. "WAAAH!"
Just a moment ago, she had been claiming to be an immortal. Now, she burst into tears, plopped onto the ground, and started beating the dirt with her fists as she rolled around. "I don’t want this! I don’t want this! I don’t want this! How could things have turned out this way?"
The little one let go, but the Immortal Cauldron didn’t quiet down. As if it possessed Spiritual Wisdom, it began to move toward Wu Tian.
THUMP! THUMP! THUMP!
It hopped along the ground until it arrived in front of Wu Tian. He hadn’t even touched it yet, but the Immortal Cauldron began to shake by itself like an eager puppy.
Wu Tian chuckled. He had figured out the Immortal Cauldron’s true nature. In fact, it wasn’t powerful at all. Its only function was to detect whether a person was suitable for cultivating immortal power.
Wu Tian didn’t care, but that didn’t mean others felt the same. The news quickly spread throughout the entire Daoist temple, shocking the children who thought of themselves as immortals, as well as the masters within.
In a room of the Daoist temple, three elderly-looking men were gathered, arguing. The topic of their discussion was none other than Wu Tian and the little one. From a high vantage point, they had seen everything that happened in the open space.
The three were originally friends who had stumbled upon this place by chance. After consuming the fruits here and cultivating Immortal Secrets, they came to believe they had achieved something and were no longer mere mortals. They abandoned their names from the Mundane World and dubbed themselves "Lord with the World," "Lord with the Heavens," and "Lord with the Earth." This meant their existence was the world, their status was the heavens, and they were as immortal and indestructible as the earth itself!
"What, Old Man Earth! It seems you want to fight me for these two disciples?" the man in the white Daoist robe, the Lord with the World, said indignantly as he slammed his hand on the long table. "I’m telling you, I’ve taken a liking to this pair, the older and the younger. They are fated to be with me!"
The elder in the black Daoist robe, the Lord with the Earth, snorted and refused to give an inch. "No way. I’ve set my sights on these two. If they follow you, I’m afraid they’ll learn bad habits."
"Learn bad habits from me?" Hearing this, the Lord with the World was stunned. "What bad habits could they possibly learn from me?" he asked.
"Everyone knows that Zhen Yuanzi’s title is Lord with the World," the Lord with the Earth said coldly. "You use that name. Are you saying your abilities are as great as the mythical Zhen Yuanzi’s? Ha! If they follow you, won’t they become kings of bragging? Masters of being shameless?"
"Rubbish! And what about you? Old Man Earth, you call yourself ’Lord with the Earth’? Ptooey! You dare compare yourself to the earth itself?" the Lord with the World retorted furiously. He drew a Peach Wood Sword, and it seemed he was about to fight the Lord with the Earth to the death in the very next moment.
The Lord with the Earth, a talisman in hand, was not afraid in the slightest. "If you want to fight, let’s fight!" he said directly.
The atmosphere was thick with the smell of gunpowder.
"Alright, alright. Fellow Daoists, please, say no more," the man in the blue Daoist robe, the Lord with the Heavens, said at once, his brow furrowed.
The Lord with the World and the Lord with the Earth stopped, but not before glaring at each other one last time. They each sat back down on their futons.
As for the true level of their own Cultivation, none of the three actually knew. In their own minds, however, they had already become transcendent saints, surpassing mortals by an unknown measure.
The Lord with the World and the Lord with the Earth both looked at the Lord with the Heavens. "Fellow Daoist, what should we do now?"
The Lord with the Heavens glanced at his two companions. Of the three of them, he was the one who looked the most like a true immortal.
The Lord with the Heavens said, "Let’s call Wu Tian and the little one here and ask them what they want. They can choose whomever they wish to be their master."
The Lord with the Earth and the Lord with the World, not yet realizing that they weren’t as distinguished-looking as the Lord with the Heavens, thought his words were fair and nodded in agreement.
