Return of the Immortal Emperor Daddy
Chapter 597 - 598: Shouldn’t Die Right? [Fifth Update, Please Subscribe]
"You... how can you speak to me like that?" It was unbelievable that Wu Tian had actually said those words to him.
I threw a punch, so what? It’s not like it’s going to kill me, is it?
Yulang was about to unleash his fist when he saw Wu Tian’s icy eyes. That gaze sent a tremor through his body, and he instinctively stumbled back a few steps, feeling his heart pound uncontrollably. He had never seen such a look in his entire life.
It was the look of a Divine King—imperious, yet utterly natural.
How could a man like Wu Tian possess such a gaze?
Yulang was so terrified he wanted nothing more than to flee. He didn’t dare to throw his punch at Wu Tian. He turned, ready to leave.
"Big Brother Sect Leader, you’re so amazing!" Si’er clapped and laughed upon seeing this. "It turns out my own brother is nothing to be afraid of. He’s just a mortal after all."
Yulang froze. He had realized a very serious problem. Si’er had always feared him, but after seeing this, she would no longer be afraid.
If word of this gets out, will I have any dignity left, even after I become King Xiuyuan? Will anyone still fear me? The commoners will probably whisper about it in secret. Then, even if my wish is fulfilled and I become the King of the Xiuyuan Country, what joy would there be in that?
"You think I don’t dare to throw a punch? I am a Prince of the Xiuyuan Country! Why wouldn’t I dare to throw my fist?"
Yulang spun around, clenching his fist once more. The veins on his hand bulged, a terrifying and ferocious sight as his punch surged with Spiritual Power. This fist radiated a sharp, piercing might. Finally, his body blurred into motion as he advanced on Wu Tian.
Si’er was frightened stiff once again.
Yulang was very pleased when he noticed the change in Si’er’s expression. He wanted everyone to fear him! In his mind, this was the so-called prestige of a monarch.
Now, Yulang attacked with his full strength. Before the punch had even unleashed its full power, it already exuded an aura of invincibility. This was the Great Penetrating Fist! He was only a hair’s breadth from reaching Great Achievement.
"This..." Si’er looked anxiously toward Wu Tian. She wasn’t afraid of Wu Tian being beaten to death; she was afraid of Wu Tian literally blowing Yulang to bits.
But Yulang was the royal family’s only male heir.
How can he die?
"Stop!" Si’er’s pretty face turned deathly pale.
Hearing her cry, Yulang felt a smug satisfaction. Go on, little sister, scream all you want. Even if you tell me to stop, I won’t.
"Don’t kill Brother Yulang!"
But the next words out of Si’er’s mouth were these.
What?
Yulang was furious. He put even more force into his fist, making the attack more ferocious. Instantly, the immensely powerful punch landed squarely on Wu Tian’s chest.
Under normal circumstances, the Great Penetrating Fist would have pierced straight through its target. But now, this ferocious punch slammed into Wu Tian’s chest and did absolutely nothing.
"That’s impossible."
Yulang was dumbfounded, stunned, and completely incredulous.
By all rights, that punch should have injured even a Tongxuan Realm expert, shouldn’t it? How could Wu Tian be completely unharmed?
He couldn’t believe his punch hadn’t caused Wu Tian the slightest bit of damage.
No, I don’t believe it! I have to punch again!
With that thought, Yulang clenched his fist again and channeled his Spiritual Power. This time, he gritted his teeth and put everything he had into it. He then aimed for Wu Tian’s heart, preparing to smash down with his fist. He refused to believe this wouldn’t be enough to hurt Wu Tian.
Just as his punch was about to land, Wu Tian spoke. "I told you, become my enemy, and you will die."
You want to throw a second punch? In your dreams.
Wu Tian gave a cold smile and threw a punch of his own.
BOOM!
His fist shot out, punching a hole straight through Yulang’s chest. The bloody cavity was a terrifying sight. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
"You... you really killed me?" he stammered. "I... I’m the... royal family’s only male, the only heir..."
With those last words, Yulang died.
"I told you punching me would get you killed, yet you insisted. If that isn’t a fool courting death, what is?" Wu Tian said with a helpless look. He then turned to Si’er. "Since you’re here, let’s go. I’ll start by teaching you how to use the Jade Pure Kunlun Fan."
"Okay," Si’er replied, her brow furrowing slightly.
Dao Feng, Hong Ji, and Lan Niang witnessed the entire scene, their minds struggling to process what had happened. The person who had just died was Yulang, the sole heir of the Xiuyuan Country’s royal family.
What is wrong with Wu Tian? To kill even him? Isn’t this too terrifying?
"It seems you still don’t understand my dad."
The little girl had arrived. She stood with her hands clasped behind her back and began to lecture Dao Feng and the others. "Anyone my dad wants to kill will die! There is no one who offends him that he doesn’t dare to kill. Do you understand what I’m saying now?"
The little girl was very happy. This was exactly the style she aspired to.
I want to be an Empress. This is how I must act!
She had even thought of a few titles for when she fulfilled her destiny and became an Empress, such as Heavenly Emperor of the Southern Ridge, Great Emperor of Devouring Heaven, or maybe she’d just call herself ’the Ruthless One.’
"What are we supposed to do now?" Dao Feng, Hong Ji, and Lan Niang knew Wu Tian was powerful, but this time he had killed the royal family’s only male heir. When King Xiuyuan came out of seclusion, how could he not be furious?
What should we do?
「In the main hall of Duke Guang’s Mansion.」
The man in black who had followed Yulang was growing nervous. It’s been so long. Prince Yulang still hasn’t returned. Could something have happened? He knew his wealth and status depended entirely on Yulang.
He was an assassin and also a servant. Without Yulang, he would remain a nobody. But if Yulang ascended the throne one day, he could at least become a General or a City Lord. Their fates were intertwined.
The man in black wanted to go to the rear courtyard to find Yulang.
Duke Guang raised a hand to stop him. "My Duke Guang’s Mansion is not a place one can simply wander through," Duke Guang said with a chuckle. "Relax. Yulang is the only son of King Xiuyuan. Who would dare do anything to him?"
"Yes, yes, you’re right. He’s the only heir. Who would dare harm him..." The man in black sighed in relief, feeling he had been overthinking things.
Just then, a house servant patrolling the rear courtyard came running toward them, panicked and out of breath. "Disaster! Disaster!" he shouted.
The man in black frowned slightly.
Duke Guang did as well. What’s going on? Did a thief get into the backyard? Or did a fire break out? he guessed.
The house servant rushed up to them and bowed hastily. "It’s a disaster! A disaster! Prince Yulang... has been killed by Mr. Wu Tian!"
"What?!" The man in black was utterly shocked.
"This..." Duke Guang was completely dumbfounded as well. What in the world is Wu Tian trying to do? He killed the Regent King. He killed the Royal Tutor Dao Zuo. And now he’s even killed the royal family’s only male heir? Is there any way for him to survive this?
