Return of the King, Dominating the City
Chapter 1806 - 1690: Gathering Information
Song Yun, of course, knew that Juan Mao saying he wanted the ship to aim its cannon at him was just a joke.
Juan Mao had been fooled by him before, which is why he was full of resentment.
He immediately explained the situation of this trip to Juan Mao. After hearing it, Juan Mao clapped his hands and laughed, "Haha, once I heard you’re calling Master Bei and Little Sword God, I knew there’d be something fun. So we are going to find trouble with the Sun Mercenary Group. This is going to be a tough battle. Luckily, I had the foresight to bring all my men over."
Song Yun glanced at the large ship docked at the port and said to Juan Mao, "These big ships can’t be taken onto land. What’s the use of bringing them here? Couldn’t you just fly over quietly to meet us?"
Juan Mao said, "When I said I would come to help you, my subordinates, more than two thousand of them, all wanted to come along. But many of these guys haven’t even been ashore, let alone flown. They are scared. So I could only bring them by ship and brought them as helpers for you."
Song Yun said, "We don’t need their help for now, and although they are skilled in sea battles, they have no advantage on land. If we can avoid using them, it would be best."
Juan Mao said, "Alright, whatever you say, we’ll do. Anyway, if there’s anything you need me to help with, just let me know."
Though Juan Mao typically speaks somewhat incoherently, in crucial moments, he was all-out to assist Song Yun.
Song Yun looked at the members on the large ship and said to Juan Mao, "First, let your men settle down. I’ll try to contact Boli and see if we can buy the Nine-colored Flower."
Juan Mao immediately instructed his deputy to arrange for everyone to stay in Ghana, while he joined Song Yun and the other two to head to Benin.
Benin is a small country, very small, and very chaotic and poor.
Although Benin has its system, it’s practically nonexistent. More of Benin is a resting spot for the Sun Mercenary Group.
Song Yun doesn’t know Boli, nor does he have any interaction with the Sun Mercenary Group. To meet Boli or buy the Nine-colored Flower, he needs to go through a middleman.
Before coming to West Africa, he contacted a guy who specializes in brokerage in Africa — Turison.
In a shabby tavern, Song Yun met Turison.
Turison is a white man around sixty years old, looking cunning, sitting in a corner surrounded by a dozen armed subordinates, ensuring his safety.
This wasn’t Song Yun’s first time dealing with Turison. In the past, during missions in Africa, he had bought information from Turison.
"Oh, my God, I’m so happy to see you,"
Upon seeing Song Yun enter the tavern, Turison stood up, showing a smile.
Song Yun walked straight to Turison’s table, knocked on it, and looked at the subordinates beside Turison, speaking sternly, "Tell them to leave, I need to discuss something with you."
"This..."
Turison hesitated a bit.
Song Yun said with a smile, "If I wanted to kill you, they wouldn’t be able to stop me. If someone else wants to kill you, as long as I’m here, they won’t be able to do it. What are you worried about?"
Hearing this, Turison no longer hesitated and immediately instructed his subordinates to wait outside the tavern.
After Song Yun sat down, Juan Mao, Master Bei, and Little Sword God also sat down beside him.
Originally, Turison thought these three were Song Yun’s subordinates and didn’t pay much attention.
However, when he saw the three sit down, he was somewhat taken aback and asked Song Yun, "My God, who are these three?"
As soon as the words left his mouth, Turison looked at Master Bei, and immediately shuddered.
As Africa’s most famous broker, his greatest skill is remembering people, even if he’s only seen a photo, he can remember them.
And the photos of these three were all too familiar.
He looked at Master Bei and said solemnly, "You’re Son of Mount Tai, Master Bei, right?"
"Correct,"
Master Bei nodded.
Turison took a deep breath and then turned to Little Sword God, "You’re the swordsman who travels the world challenging Sword Dao experts, nicknamed Little Sword God."
Little Sword God acknowledged with a simple "Mm," without saying much more.
Turison was already a bit puzzled, then looked at Juan Mao, swallowed, and said with a trembling voice, "I’ve heard eight large ships docked at Lome Port in Ghana. Those ships should all be yours, right? You’re the famous Abyss Boss?"
Juan Mao laughed, "Damn, I hid so deeply, yet you still found me out."
Confirming the identities of the three beside Song Yun, Turison’s heart was racing.
Adding Song Yun, any of these four are outstanding figures capable of major tasks, and now they’re actually gathered together, what exactly are they up to?
Turison looked at Song Yun, frowned, "My God, I just do brokerage business. If you have any major plans, please don’t drag me into trouble."
Song Yun said, "How few people have died because of your selling of information? What are you worrying about?"
Turison hurriedly said, "That’s different, you want to target Boli of the Sun Mercenary Group now. He’s West Africa’s Mercenary King. If I offend him, I can’t do business in Africa anymore."
Song Yun said, "Don’t worry, I just want to make a deal with him."
"What kind of deal?"
Turison asked curiously, thinking that aside from land and some unusable things, Boli’s possessions mostly include women.
Song Yun seemed uninterested in land or those items, could it be women?
Though African women aren’t particularly beautiful, what exactly would interest Song Yun so much that he’d unite with Master Bei, Little Sword God, and Abyss Boss?
Song Yun said, "Boli has a kind of flower that can cure diseases. Pass the message to him for me, saying that whatever the terms, as long as he’s willing to give me that flower, I can fulfill."
Turison shivered slightly and said gravely, "You’re talking about the Nine-colored Flower?"
"You know the Nine-colored Flower?"
Song Yun asked unexpectedly.
Turison said, "Boli has a Nine-colored Flower; this information is known to anyone slightly aware in West Africa. But he treasures that flower like a jewel, the likelihood of him trading it is very low."
Song Yun said, "Regardless of whether it works or not, we have to try to find out. You just need to deliver the message to him, whether he agrees or not is up to him."
"Alright."
Turison nodded solemnly and took out a card machine from his bag, saying to Song Yun, "The fee this time is one million US dollars, please pay first."
Song Yun laughed, "So advanced, using a card machine now."
Turison sighed helplessly, "No choice, previously it was wire transfers, but someone actually gave me false transfers and dirty money, causing my account to be frozen multiple times. Now I only do card swipes on site, this is relatively safer."
Song Yun swiped the card, stood up, and walked outside, saying, "Contact me by phone after you have news."
Turison made an OK gesture, "No problem."
