Rise Of The Hoarder
Chapter 417: A New Scenario
The vortex enveloped us, a swirling mix of colors and light.
I felt the weird sensation of being stretched and compressed, my consciousness drifting through it all.
In what felt like an eternity and an instant, the vortex spat me out into a new location.
I landed on solid ground, the air thick with anticipation.
Around me, a barren landscape stretched out, dotted with jagged rocks and sparse vegetation.
The sky above was an eerie shade of twilight, neither day nor night, casting long shadows across the desolate plain.
I looked at the side to see that Sariel had landed close to where I was which was a relief.
For a moment, I thought that we had been separated.
Above us, a notification appeared suddenly.

The notification flickered in front of me, and a slow smile spread across my face.
This was it. Everything up until now had been mere preparation, a prelude to the real event.
The true chaos was about to be unleashed, and I was ready. It was true horror for those that were weak.
Sariel looked around, her eyes narrowing as she assessed our new surroundings.
"This place... it’s different from any realm we’ve been to before."
"It’s fitting, don’t you think?" I said, still smiling. "The end of the world should start in a place that feels like it’s already halfway there."
She gave a curt nod, still cautious but resolute. "What do you think these Trumpets are?"
I shrugged. "Does it matter? Whatever they are, they’ll bring destruction. And we’re here to embrace it."
As we stood there, the first trumpet sounded, a deep, resonant note that seemed to vibrate the very core of the earth. The ground beneath us trembled, and the sky darkened further, ominous clouds gathering on the horizon.
"As a reward for completing the previous task, we are given a simulation of all the woes to come. We have 24 hours until the real thing though," I said, glancing at the countdown timer that had appeared in my vision. "Plenty of time to prepare."
Sariel looked at me, a mix of curiosity and concern in her eyes. "Prepare for what?"
"To embrace the chaos," I replied, my grin widening. "To shape it, control it, and ultimately, to thrive in it."
I raised my hand, summoning the three angels once more. They materialized before us, their expressions as impassive as ever, waiting for my command.
"Spread out," I ordered. "Scout the area, find anything useful, and report back. We need to know what we’re dealing with."
The angels bowed and took off in different directions, their wings cutting through the air with a whisper of divine grace.
"Jeremy," Sariel said, her tone more serious now. "Are you sure about this? The chaos, the destruction... it could consume you."
I turned to her, my eyes blazing with determination. "Let it try. I’ve become more than just a player in this game. I’m the one who will control the narrative. Let the world burn. From its ashes, I’ll create something new."
She watched me for a moment, then nodded, her resolve hardening. "Then let’s make sure we’re ready."
The hours ticked by as we prepared. The angels returned with reports of the surrounding area: abandoned settlements, hidden caches of supplies, and lurking dangers.
We fortified our position, gathered resources, and strategized for the coming storm.
As the final hour approached, a sense of calm settled over me. This was what I had been waiting for. The true test of my power, the chance to prove my dominance.
The second trumpet sounded, and the sky cracked open, revealing a horde of monstrous beings descending upon the earth. Their roars echoed across the plains, a herald of the chaos to come.
I stood at the forefront, Sariel by my side, and the angels flanking us. The world was about to plunge into madness, and I was ready to dive in headfirst.
"Welcome to Armageddon," I whispered, more to myself than anyone else. "Let the chaos begin."
As the third trumpet blared, I stepped forward, my power surging within me, ready to face whatever came next.
This was the moment I had been waiting for, the moment when I would truly become a god among men. And nothing would stand in my way.
I smiled as I took it all in.
There would be a lot of chaos in the coming Scenario and I’m all for it.
