Secret Marriage, High-Profile Pampering!
Chapter 1039: Anxious to Rush Back Home
Summer Sutton definitely didn’t want to stay here any longer.
She had left for three days already. Knowing Adrian Walyon’s personality, as soon as he found out she wasn’t in the country, he would definitely turn the world upside down within a week to find her.
Once she got the medicine, she had to rush back immediately.
"I’m not seriously injured; I should be fine in a few days. I was just too excited." She tidied her clothes, smiled at him, but still ignored her foot injury and staggered toward the stairs, only to be pulled back by Manuel Ink.
"It’s Grandfather who had the flowers planted; you won’t be able to get them right now." Manuel Ink didn’t say much, just pulled her back into the room.
His words left Summer Sutton a bit stunned; she didn’t immediately understand what he meant.
Weren’t they just planted there? Why couldn’t she get them?
Manuel Ink didn’t explain further, pressed her down to sit, rummaged through drawers in the room, took out ointment, and began treating her foot injury.
His face lowered gently, his gaze focused.
Summer Sutton couldn’t help dropping her gaze, observing him thoughtfully.
This time, encountering him was likely due to the Ink Family connection; hundreds of miles around were within the Ink Family range, and Manuel Ink had never worn a mask in front of her.
Manuel Ink was a very handsome man, with features deeper and more defined than typical Eastern people, the bridge of his nose perfectly straight like a sculpture.
He squatted before her silently, looking as if he had stepped out of a painting.
Summer Sutton’s work brought her into contact with many male stars in the entertainment industry, meeting plenty of exceptionally handsome men.
Yet, no man was as strikingly handsome as Manuel Ink.
Every time she saw his face, a phrase came to mind: a world of unparalleled beauty.
Such a handsome man—she couldn’t comprehend why he used to love wearing masks so much.
As she continued staring at Manuel Ink, she accidentally got lost in thought.
When Manuel Ink lifted his face, their gazes met perfectly.
Staring at the still-distracted Summer Sutton, he paused, his eyes, like a deep sea, seemed even deeper.
His gaze was somewhat direct, making Summer Sutton a bit awkward once she snapped back to reality. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
She awkwardly tidied her hair and turned her face toward the window, "It seems like it’s still raining."
"Hm." Manuel Ink responded softly, continuing to treat her injuries.
Summer Sutton had been brought into the castle at noon, staying there for about two hours, yet within such a short span, she had a series of minor and major injuries, her arms a mess of colorful bruises, rather distressing.
Manuel Ink watched her delicate, fair yet scarred hands, his breathing deepened, "Don’t bother with Grandfather in the future."
He seemed speechless regarding Old Master Ink, his expression tensing when mentioning him, "What’s with you indulging the whims of someone of his age?"
Summer Sutton wanted to say, she honestly didn’t want to indulge the whims either.
She was timid, a scaredy-cat, someone who cherished her life deeply, and with Grandfather’s reckless driving and poor technical skills, she’d rather run for cover.
But, to obtain the secret formula, she had no choice.
Grandfather was not someone she could afford to offend.
"Actually, Grandfather is quite cute. For his age, his spirit is admirable." Despite the technical issues, Summer Sutton sincerely admired Old Master.
"Is that so? After spending a few days with him, I hope you still feel that way."
