Secret Marriage, High-Profile Pampering!
Chapter 1050: Manuel Ink’s Secret
He was headed to North America, which was on another continent from the Ink Family Castle.
Perhaps due to time constraints, they didn’t travel by cruise ship as usual.
After boarding the plane, the pilot went to the cockpit, leaving only Summer Sutton and Manuel Ink in the cabin.
Manuel Ink’s private jet was extremely luxurious, with decor comparable to a villa, and everything one could need in the cabin.
Once Summer Sutton entered the cabin, she found herself bored, at times taking photos with a camera, at times making coffee, cutting fruit, or browsing through magazines.
Onboarding the plane, she acted as though she was on vacation.
Manuel Ink’s reaction was entirely different; after taking the pilot’s seat, he remained very quiet, never leaving his position, and didn’t utter a word.
His face was slightly turned, looking outside the window, head resting on the seatback, with his eyes constantly closed.
At first, Summer Sutton thought he was merely resting with his eyes closed but gradually noticed something was off.
His body slumped against the window glass, his silhouette exuding a sense of discomfort.
"Sun..." Summer Sutton paused her photography and tentatively called out to him once.
Manuel Ink remained slumped, not responding to her.
"Manuel Ink!" Summer Sutton called out his name again.
The cabin was very quiet, so quiet that only her voice could be heard.
She couldn’t even hear the sound of Manuel Ink’s breathing.
Staring at him like this, her heart tightened.
Suddenly, she recalled the time in M Country when they were preparing to take a cruise back home.
Back then, she jokingly asked if he was afraid of heights, hence why he chose a time-consuming cruise over a relaxing and quick flight.
Back then, Manuel Ink didn’t deny her words.
As if her mind had been lightly tapped, she rushed over to Manuel Ink, crouching beside him, reaching out to him, "Manuel..."
As soon as she reached out, the damp sensation on her hand startled her, and she recoiled as if electrocuted.
The area she touched was covered in sweat, his sweat.
Stiffly staring at Manuel Ink for a while, she cautiously turned his body around.
Manuel Ink’s face was so pale it was frightening, as if trapped in some kind of memory, his lips tightly clenched in pain, drenched in sweat, his handsome face wet from the sweat, his long lashes lightly drooping, devoid of his usual vitality.
Such a sight of him startled Summer Sutton.
She knew of people afraid of heights, water, or confined spaces, but this was her first time witnessing it firsthand.
Without witnessing it herself, Summer Sutton couldn’t have imagined how merely taking a flight could make someone unbearably uncomfortable, akin to contracting a serious illness.
Staring at Manuel Ink like this for a while, after coming to her senses, she frantically grabbed a pillow and placed it under his head.
"Can you hear me? What should I do? Tell me?" she asked anxiously, crouched before him, like an ant on a hot pan.
Manuel Ink’s lashes remained lightly drooped, he didn’t speak.
"Manuel Ink!"
"Manuel!"
Summer Sutton called out to him several times, still without any response from him, and was about to seek help from the pilot when Manuel Ink’s hand lightly tugged at her.
"I’m fine, don’t worry..." His lips moved slightly, as if even speaking was difficult.
He was in such a state and still claimed to be fine?
Summer Sutton stood there stiffly, not knowing what to do.
"Water..." Manuel Ink mumbled another word.
