Secret Marriage, High-Profile Pampering!
Chapter 1210: Waiting All Day and Night
The driver took her to Ariella Sawyer’s residence, only leaving after watching her get out of the car.
Summer Sutton came unexpectedly; she hadn’t called Ariella Sawyer beforehand to check if anyone was home.
Actually, Ariella Sawyer had joined the crew the past few days and wasn’t at home.
Summer Sutton didn’t know this, knocked on the door, and waited outside when no one answered.
She could go to a hotel or to Zoe Baxter and Iris Watson’s place, but Summer Sutton was truly exhausted now.
After arriving at Ariella Sawyer’s place, it seemed as if all energy had been drained from her body, and she couldn’t take a step.
She didn’t know how long she waited outside the door, but her legs grew weak and still no one came. Summer Sutton remained there.
She thought, maybe Ariella Sawyer was busy and would come back after wrapping up tonight.
She herself didn’t know where else she could go, just squatted outside Ariella Sawyer’s door, waiting all day.
At eleven at night, still having not seen Ariella Sawyer, Summer Sutton realized she might not return tonight, and with heavy steps, she walked out of the neighborhood to wait at a nearby taxi stand.
She thought she would just find a hotel to stay in for a few days, until Ariella Sawyer got back.
But it was too late, and Ariella Sawyer’s place was a bit remote. Summer Sutton waited for a long time but didn’t get a taxi. Instead, a black Rolls-Royce stopped in front of her.
Summer Sutton was startled, her gaze following the direction of the car door. She was a bit surprised.
The door was pushed open, and the man who stepped out was Manuel Ink.
It was almost midnight, late into the night, and she didn’t know why he was here, Summer Sutton thought.
"Sun..." Staring at him dazedly, Summer Sutton seemed dumbfounded, unable to come back to her senses for a while.
"Just happened to be passing by nearby," Manuel Ink simply explained, opening the car door for her, "Get in! What are you doing standing on the roadside so late?"
Summer Sutton stared at the car door blankly for a while, briefly hesitated, then bent down and got in the car.
With Manuel Ink, she didn’t need to worry about anything.
Everything she should have considered never happened while being with this man.
Manuel Ink was such a reassuring person.
Manuel Ink didn’t ask why she was alone on the street so late, only ordered the driver up front to drive.
The extended Rolls-Royce slowly drove on the road, Summer Sutton and Manuel Ink sat in the back seat without speaking.
After reaching the Ink Family’s castle in the country, Manuel Ink got out of the car first.
Summer Sutton followed him in, walking into the house together.
The Old Master Ink had been back in the country these days; late at night, he heard the sound of Manuel Ink returning and went downstairs just to see what was going on.
Catching sight of Summer Sutton returning with him, he was momentarily taken aback.
"Oh, it’s rare!"
"Grandpa Ink," Summer Sutton called out to him, keeping her head down and continuing up the stairs behind Manuel Ink.
The Old Master Ink had been in the country recently; he should have been more or less attuned to the news happening here.
His gaze followed Summer Sutton’s figure, watching her repeatedly. He felt particularly disdainful towards this matter, "It seems that the man named Watt Bennet isn’t very reliable!"
Summer Sutton’s back stiffened, her gaze instantly dimmed.
Originally, the entire journey here, she hadn’t felt any emotions.
Yet, with the Old Master Ink’s reminder, it felt as if her chest was pierced with needles, instantly starting to bleed painfully.
