Secret Marriage, High-Profile Pampering!
Chapter 1214: Forget About Him
Watt was left speechless by her question.
He himself didn’t even know what had happened...
Summer Sutton pulled her hand away from his and bent down to get into Rain Carter’s car.
Rain worked for Manuel Ink and was likely instructed by him; after Summer got in the car, he drove toward the Ink Family’s residence.
Watt didn’t know where Summer was going. Afraid that this might be the last chance to see her, he chased after her without hesitation, "Summer, wait!"
Rain’s car didn’t stop and continued driving at a steady speed.
"Summer!"
"Summer!"
Watt desperately chased after the car, trying to stop it, but Rain suddenly accelerated.
With no other option, Watt turned back to get into his own car.
But after starting his car to give chase, Summer’s car was already out of sight...
Inside Rain’s car, Summer remained silent the whole time.
Rain had always been a particularly serious person, but today, he couldn’t help but say a few things, "You young people really live such exhausting lives."
Summer was indeed exhausted, and she didn’t respond to his words.
"Actually, you’re much happier than many women. If you’re tired now, it’s all self-inflicted, to put it bluntly, it’s your own fault." Rain drove on for a bit and continued, "After all, we’ve worked together for quite some time, and I think Watt isn’t too bad for you. As for making mistakes, you should know that it’s easy for men to make such mistakes. If you really can’t accept it, just let it go."
"Hmm." Summer replied absentmindedly.
"You’re luckier than other women because someone like Young Master Ink, whom ordinary women can’t even dream of meeting, you actually encountered. And he’s been so good to you. Summer, do you know how many women spend a lifetime trying to achieve the luck you’ve had?" Rain probably couldn’t stand it any longer and kept nagging, "Such a good man is right in front of you, and you don’t know to appreciate it. Aren’t you torturing yourself?"
Summer quietly listened to her without saying anything.
Rain wasn’t one to talk much, so saying so much today was already unusual for her.
She didn’t say more and drove Summer toward the Ink Family’s residence.
Summer had been staying at the Ink Family’s house for the past few days; she didn’t have anywhere else to go for now.
If she went to a few friends’ places, Watt could easily find her.
After dropping Summer at the Ink Family, Rain silently left the grand estate after she got out of the car.
When Summer entered the house, Manuel Ink was waiting for her at the entrance of the hall.
He quietly looked at her, seeing her low-spirited face, and with just one glance, Manuel could guess what had happened.
"I’m back." Summer greeted him and was about to walk past him into the house when Manuel stopped her, "If he comes every day in the future, what do you plan to do?"
Summer was dumbfounded by his question, her back stiffened.
Actually, as long as she continued working at Royal Delight, any move she made at the company could easily reach Watt.
But leaving Royal Delight, Summer truly didn’t know what else she could do.
Moreover, entering Royal Delight had been so hard-won, and she had put so much effort into it after joining. Summer didn’t want to give up easily.
"When you’ve decided what to do, you can let me know." Manuel only reminded her and didn’t dwell on the topic, turning around to enter the living room before her.
