Secret Marriage, High-Profile Pampering!
Chapter 1216: Forget Him
Summer Sutton had been thinking a lot these days, contemplating the best way to handle this situation.
Rain Carter had said something true; if she couldn’t accept what her man did this time, it’s better to just forget it.
Summer Sutton had actually considered moving to a place without Adrian, to start anew.
But having known Adrian Walyon for three years, being married for nearly three, and having gone through so much together during those years, she couldn’t quite be so decisive upon encountering his issues.
Summer Sutton decided to stay in the country for another ten days.
If within these ten days, Adrian gives her a reasonable explanation, she’ll stay.
Deep down, she held onto a sliver of hope for Adrian, hoping that what happened that night was a misunderstanding, hoping nothing happened between Adrian and Lorraine Hughes.
But that all depended on Adrian proving himself...
These ten days were the chance Summer Sutton was giving him, and also a chance for their marriage.
Summer Sutton couldn’t accept her husband touching another woman, nor could she imagine feeling at ease in the future each time she was intimate with Adrian, thinking about him having done those things with another woman.
She was actually just like Adrian, both having a severe emotional cleanliness.
Even though she knew there was little room for reversal in this incident, Summer Sutton’s heart still believed in Adrian.
But if he ultimately couldn’t prove anything, if they were to sever ties and separate, Summer Sutton would resign herself to it.
Sitting down for dinner, Summer Sutton had little appetite, feeling heavily burdened as she ate.
Adrian also had little appetite, stirring the food on his plate before abruptly raising his face, "I don’t remember anything from that night. When I woke up the next day, Lorraine Hughes was beside me."
Summer Sutton briefly paused her motion cutting food, quietly waiting for his next words.
"I’ll look into this matter further." Adrian tossed the knife and fork aside, stood up, and went to the corner of the restaurant to make a call to Marshall Quinn, "Help me get in touch with Kelly Ann."
If it was the Adrian from before, he would’ve surely thrown Kelly Ann into the ocean to feed the sharks.
This time, however, he merely used the influence of the entertainment industry to blacklist her, refraining from doing anything to her personally.
With this matter, perhaps some information could still be traced back to Kelly Ann, if she were dead, Adrian truly wouldn’t have any place left to check.
After finishing the call, Adrian returned to the dining table.
When he returned, Summer Sutton had already finished eating.
She stood up, seemingly ready to leave, but Adrian grabbed her wrist, "Where are you going?"
"Going back." Summer Sutton turned her face slightly, her gaze firmly landing on his hand gripping hers, giving a faint order, "Mr. Bennet, let go."
"Back where?" Adrian pursued the question.
"It’s none of Mr. Bennet’s business." Summer Sutton attempted to withdraw her hand from his grip, but Adrian stubbornly held onto her.
"Home is at Morning Garden and Sutton Gardens, and Rosemary; if not returning home, where are you planning to go?"
"Those are all Mr. Bennet’s." Summer Sutton replied coldly, attempting once again to pull her hand away.
Unable to, she furrowed her brows lightly.
Since yesterday, Adrian had been searching for her for days, now that he finally found her, he wouldn’t let her go easily.
Forcibly dragging Summer Sutton out of the restaurant, he directly headed towards his car.
"Adrian Walyon, let go!" Summer Sutton snapped at him lowly, somewhat exasperated.
