GONG HANSEO watched Seong Kyungmin’s reaction after he told him about his chance encounter with Kang Daeho.

Yes, he was still on his lover’s lap the entire time.

As usual, his fiancé remained calm while listening to the entire story.

"Hanseo-ya."

"Yeah?"

"Your sunbae said he didn’t want the baby," Seong Kyungmin said carefully, probably trying not to hurt his feelings. "That means he doesn’t want to go through the pregnancy. So, you can’t ask him to give birth to the baby that he doesn’t want in the first place just because you want to adopt his unborn child."

To be honest, Gong Hanseo didn’t think about that.

When he heard that Kang Daeho wanted to abort the baby, all he thought about was that he wanted to adopt the baby.

Thankfully, he didn’t say that out loud.

Otherwise, he would have sounded really insensitive.

"I’m so embarrassed by my thoughtlessness," Gong Hanseo said, covering his face with his hands. "Thank you for keeping me grounded, Hyung."

Seong Kyungmin wrapped his arms around Gong Hanseo’s waist. "Babe, do you really want a child? Or is it only because my mother keeps bothering you to give me an heir? If it’s the latter, then I want you to reconsider it, Hanseo-ya. I don’t need an heir. If my bloodline ends with me, so be it."

"I know that you don’t need an heir, Hyung. And, even before we started dating officially, you’ve already told me that you weren’t interested in having a child. But you also told me that if I want a baby, then there are several ways to do it," Gong Hanseo said carefully. "But, until now, I’ve never really considered it. Because, like you, I’m already content with our family of two. That’s why I also don’t understand why I suddenly want to adopt Daeho Hyung’s unborn baby."

"Maybe your maternal instincts have finally awakened?"

Gong Hanseo chuckled.

Clearly, Seong Kyungmin was trying to make things light.

"But, Hyung..."

"Yes, babe?"

"If I meet another child that I want to adopt, will you consider adopting them with me?"

"Of course. I’ll consider it positively," Seong Kyungmin assured Gong Hanseo. "Yes, I’m already content with just the two of us. But an additional member of the family doesn’t sound bad. However, if we decide to adopt a child, I want it to be because we want to, and not because we were pressured by someone else."

Gong Hanseo smiled and nodded. "I’ll keep that in mind, Hyung."

WHAT kind of wedding do I want?

Gong Hanseo had no work that day, so he decided to finally start planning his wedding for real.

Of course, he’d hire an entire team of wedding organizers later to help him.

But, for now, he wanted to start the preparations by himself.

Hence, he bought the latest wedding planning catalogue from a famous magazine.

And, right now, he was lazing around while flipping through the catalogue.

I can’t have Garam’s wedding as a reference because his wedding ceremony was something pulled out of a fairy tale book.

Of course, Seong Kyungmin could give him a grand wedding, too.

But that’s not what I want.

A solemn wedding— that was what Gong Hanseo wanted.

Maybe a garden wedding?

Yeah, that sounds nice.

Finally, Gong Hanseo’s solo brainstorming was paying off.

He thought he would get so much planning done today...

... until he got a phone call from an unexpected person.

Gong Hanseo immediately got up and answered the call. "Daeho Hyung?"

"I’m sorry, Hanseo-ya, but can you come and pick me up?"

GONG HANSEO once again met Kang Daeho in the hospital.

No, his sunbae wasn’t confined.

But he thought Kang Daeho should stay in the hospital because of how pale he was.

"Are you sure you don’t need to return to the hospital, Hyung?" Gong Hanseo asked worriedly. "You still look pale."

"I’m fine now, Hanseo-ya. And I’m probably just hungry," Kang Daeho said, smiling. "So, thank you for bringing me here."

Right.

After picking up his sunbae from the hospital, Gong Hanseo brought Kang Daeho to a traditional Korean restaurant— one with a detached private room for privacy.

He ordered healthy dishes, like samgyetang, because his sunbae clearly needed it.

"You’re welcome, Hyung," Gong Hanseo said, putting his own ginseng in Kang Daeho’s samgyetang, even though his sunbae had already one in his food. "Eat a lot, Hyung."

"Hanseo-ya."

"Yes, Hyung?"

"I didn’t proceed with the abortion."

"Oh."

"I couldn’t," Kang Daeho said while shaking his head. "But I still don’t want to keep the baby once it’s born. So, I decided to put my unborn child up for adoption."

Gong Hanseo’s eyes widened a bit. "Is that legal, Hyung?"

"The law makes an exception for Omegas who got pregnant by an Alpha, but the Alpha refuses to take responsibility. Since I’m a divorced Omega, the law permits me to put up my baby for adoption, even if they aren’t born yet."

Oh.

At that moment, Gong Hanseo’s heart thumped hard and fast against his chest.

He felt like things had finally aligned for him and the little family that he could already envision in his mind.

It was a chance that he knew he couldn’t let go.

"Hyung, are you really sure about putting up your unborn baby for adoption?"

"I am. As I said before, I don’t want this baby," Kang Daeho said firmly while holding his stomach. "I don’t even know who the father of this child is."

It seemed like his sunbae’s mind wouldn’t change anymore.

If that was the case, then...

"Hyung, can we talk more about it?" Gong Hanseo asked carefully. "I’m actually interested in adopting your unborn baby."

Kang Daeho looked surprised. "You are?"

Gong Hanseo immediately ran towards Seong Kyungmin and literally threw himself at his lover.

Of course, his fiancé caught him effortlessly...

... in the middle of the hospital lobby.

Yeah, Gong Hanseo created a scene at Seong Kyungmin’s workplace.

He asked his lover if he could visit him in the hospital, and that was why the Alpha came to pick him up in the lobby.

As soon as he saw Seong Kyungmin, he couldn’t help but hug him out of excitement.

Thankfully, his fiancé didn’t mind.

"You seem happy, baby," Seong Kyungmin said while gently patting Gong Hanseo’s back. "Can you tell me what happened?"

"Hyung, I want a baby," Gong Hanseo said excitedly, holding Seong Kyungmin’s hands. "Let’s adopt Daeho Hyung’s baby."
