Chapter 80 - 74: Julian Foxy Phantom Hypothesis
After Kael managed to attract the inner protectors of the tower to attack him and keep them busy repairing the defense system, he was already collecting everything in the tower.
The second main part of his plan was put into action as Julian started running to his destination inside the tower.
Yeah, that was the important part of the plan, and it was to let Julian enter without any battles and focus on the main dish.
“Hoooooofffff”
Foxy muttered as he started crossing intersections. As he detected the main library of the Archbishop of this tower, he took a long breath and muttered,
“Phantom Hypothesis Physique activated, the Foxy sneaking state.”
The Phantom Hypothesis Physique was a body from a higher realm that only certain individuals could inherit. The owner of the original Phantom Physique was named Huanling, one of the oldest prodigies of the immortal world. He used this ability to train students, but his requirements were extremely strict. He chose only three students, and when his last student died, the Physique automatically chose Julian Foxy. and when his last student died, the Physique automatically chose Julian Foxy.
A golden yellow aura appeared, surrounding him as he started walking on the wall. As he reached the outer room of the Archbishop, looking at the ground, Julian was now standing inverted relative to it.
At that time, Foxy had already reached the Archbishop, who was sitting in his library, reading books.
“Let’s start.”
He activated his senses as he detected the Archbishop.
Foxy raised his katana as he made a yellow energy circle that penetrated the wall. As the circle entered, it slowly vanished.
The purpose of this was to cancel the Archbishop’s energy detection in that specific area without warning him. It was a special ability of Foxy used to cancel detection traps and sneak into enemy territory without danger.
This ability represented Julian Foxy’s second level of mastery in the field of spell casting. By the age of seventeen, he had already reached the fifth level of mastery.
Foxy closed his eyes as everything around him turned black and white. As he sensed the energy of the yellow aura he had generated before, he was instantly transported, his body at the exact same standing position but now inside the room.
The moment Foxy stood, he began walking slowly as he approached the Archbishop.
But that calmness did not last, as the Archbishop’s voice erupted.
“I did not expect them to have a master in illusion and spell casting.”
As Foxy heard the old mage’s voice, fear spread within him.
“Do you realize that everyone has started to see the magic towers as a joke because of your constant attacks on them?”
Foxy sensed the danger as he raised his katana faster and used a small area transportation to cut off the Archbishop’s head. But as the katana neared the Archbishop’s neck, a massive surge of mana blasted him out of the tower.
Foxy grabbed his katana and descended along the outer layer of the tower, sliding down its surface until he stood safely on the outside wall.
But this safety did not last, as attacks rose from behind him.
Yeah, below him were knights and mages from tier thirteen, ready to attack and kill him.
“Damn it.”
Foxy was now surrounded, with knights and mages below him and the Archbishop above.
But what they did not expect was that Foxy smiled and raised his katana. A faint light appeared. Foxy had activated his sensory illusion.
Then he unleashed a slash enhanced with light red mana toward the Archbishop from above, but the enemies did not give him a chance to counter them with his attacks, so they immediately launched their own attacks as Foxy turned his face toward them and rolled his body while falling.
With a sudden burst of speed in his legs, as he activated his Phantom Body, all attacks that landed on him were redirected to the Archbishop as they passed through his body without dealing any damage.
“Nooooo,” he had escaped the attacks.
One of the magicians muttered. As Foxy landed between them, he started to disappear and reappear rapidly around everyone.
The Archbishop, who was preparing a light based attack from above to kill him, suddenly stopped as Foxy’s slash was redirected toward him. As he tried to destroy it with his aura, Foxy’s slash split into two. The Archbishop destroyed one and avoided the other, leaving only a slight scratch on his face. But as he looked down, he saw several blasts and fireballs being directed at him.
Those were the attacks that Foxy had deliberately avoided and redirected using his Phantom Physic.
The Archbishop canceled his attack, afraid that if he used it, he would kill all the knights and mages below.
At that moment, not a single one noticed that Foxy was only scratching the mages and knights, not aiming to kill them.
But they were foolish, thinking only that he was trying to escape.
He only wanted to move into an open space to launch a lethal attack and kill the Archbishop. But what Foxy did was begin to manipulate those he had scratched, making them believe that the Archbishop himself was Foxy.
“Well then, let’s begin the real attack.”
Foxy raised his katana, creating a magic circle on the ground as he opened his right eye, revealing a grey eye that transformed into a red dot within pitch black darkness. A heavy gloom spread, and his personality shifted. He vanished behind the knights and mages and pierced the Archbishop’s heart from the left side, causing blood to gush out. The Archbishop fell to the ground, blood pouring from his mouth, as Foxy transferred both of them to the magic circle. The Archbishop’s body was locked in place as attacks were launched from everyone around them toward both Foxy and the Archbishop.
Foxy smiled as he removed his katana and disappeared out of the magic circle.
When the Archbishop saw the attacks unleashed at him, he tried to activate his shield, but all the mana inside him suddenly stopped, and those around him began trying to kill him and each other.
The Archbishop let out a hysterical scream as tears and saliva poured from him while he tried to use his last ability, the Soul Mirror.
But all his attempts failed as he was about to receive the full force of the attacks from his knights and mages.
This was due to Foxy’s special ability, illusion manipulation.
An ability that uses other people as an army and can make them betray each other.
“Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!”
“Sorry, guys!”
“I was a bad friend.”
The Archbishop placed his hand on the ground in a single desperate motion. The tower was equipped with explosive magic circles designed to kill any intruders.
He killed all the knights and mages before their attacks could land as his tears increased and his aura surged.
That one move was enough to break him completely, as his morals and beliefs collapsed because of Foxy.
Thud!
With an angry strike, a fast and powerful attack erupted.
A massive explosive circle activated and detonated, catching Foxy off guard.
“Ahhhhhhhhhhh,” a scream erupted from Foxy as the explosion consumed him.
“Did he die?” the Archbishop muttered.
He began approaching Foxy’s body, which was covered in blood, with torn clothes, seemingly missing both arms and his head. But what the Archbishop did not know was that he was under a powerful partial illusion.
It was true that Foxy’s clothes were torn and he was bleeding, but none of his body parts had been severed, and he had not been thrown away by the explosion.
“Wait a moment.”
As the Archbishop turned his back and began heading to check the sounds of another battle, he suddenly stopped.
“This is not logical. How could someone who faced that explosion lose his head and arms like that from a single blast? Shouldn’t the body be completely destroyed or vanish?”
“The way he died is illogical.”
The moment the Archbishop realized it, his right hand was severed.
At that instant, he saw Foxy behind him as he opened his eye, surrounded by a cursed red and black aura, with countless crying red eyes shedding bloody tears.
“There is a saying, never approach a dead fox, because the moment you do, you have already written your own death with your own hand.”
“Damn it, we underestimated these children.”
“I must send instructions to the main tower, but it seems everything is disabled.”
“The tower next to us must have been attacked.”
“There is no other choice.”
“I cannot let any of these bastards escape. I will destroy everything.”
And so, the Archbishop decided to self destruct, creating a massive explosion using himself as a sacrifice.
As he attempted to detonate himself and annihilate everyone in and around the tower, Foxy spoke two words.
“Soul Mirror, Illusion Domain. Execution.”
In less than a second, the Archbishop’s head was thrown onto the ground, drenched in blood.
Foxy had won, and soon after, he collapsed to the ground. His fox eyes closed, and his smile returned.
He would have lost control if he had not resorted to a trick, using the tower’s subordinates to pressure the Archbishop and using them as bait.
Foxy regretted that he had killed this old man’s subordinates in such a cruel way.
That was due to Foxy’s upbringing by his father.
At that moment, he remembered his father, who had died in the same way as this man.
Foxy dug a grave and placed the body inside it, lowering the Archbishop’s head with respect. This was a gesture of respect because fighting someone like him was rare.
“People fear monsters, yet they never realize “The horror of becoming one. The real monster is not the deceiver, the liar, or the strong one. It is the monster you build through your own illusion, because it slowly devours you until it becomes part of you. And once that illusion becomes reality, you are already dead, just like all who came before you. Because I am that monster.”
Foxy muttered as he went and leaned his body against a part of the tower.
Foxy muttered as he went and leaned his body against a part of the tower.
“You finally finished, Mr. Vampiro!”
“Don’t act like you didn’t finish before me foxy. I was already dealing with many things there.”
This was Kael’s voice, as it carried a hint of amusement as he spoke to Foxy, because he had lost an old bet against Foxy and was now forced to give that thing to him.

There is an ability that Foxy possesses, but no one knows about it.
It’s called Ocular Variance Sovereignty.
It means he has multiple eyes, each with different abilities that he can switch between.
There is a vast lore behind this power, but I’m too lazy to explain it.
