Sign-In System: Starting With Invincible Physique
Chapter 86: Found Him
Chapter 86: Found Him
The night passed in utter silence.
As the sky dawned, the morning light passed through the window, warming the lavish room, Rhain slowly opened his eyes.
The physical and mental exhaustion from yesterday’s travel had been completely swept away.
[Ding!]
[Daily Sign-In available. Would you like to sign in?]
’Sign in,’ Rhain said absentmindedly.
[Sign-In successful!]
[Congratulations! You have received the Rare-Grade Pill: Golden Bone Elixir.]
[Item automatically sent to System Inventory.]
Information regarding the new reward flooded his mind.
Golden Bone Elixir.
A Rare-Grade body-tempering pill that could temper a cultivator’s skeleton, and increasing their bone density to the level of a Spirit Manifestation Realm beast.
It was uncertain how much improvement it could bring to his Abyssal Sovereign Physique, yet as a rare grade pill, it won’t be atleast completely useless.
Rhain had other tasks to do today, so he decided to keep it for now, and consume it later.
After freshening up, Rhain stepped out of his bedchamber and entered the grand central hall.
Seris was already awake.
She sat quietly at the redwood table, her silver-blue hair catching the morning light, looking refreshed after a proper night of sleep.
A short while later, the polite drumming of a knock rang from the courtyard entrance.
It was Rosanna, trailed by two silent attendants.
They arrived carrying exquisite, multi-tiered wooden trays filled with a lavish breakfast spread—steaming spirit buns, exotic roasted meats, and freshly brewed spirit tea.
Her demeanor was flawlessly professional, keeping her head slightly bowed as she carefully arranged the fragrant delicacies on the table.
As Rosanna picked up her empty tray and prepared to bow her way out, Rhain spoke up.
"Rosanna."
She immediately froze, straightening her posture. "Yes, esteemed guest?"
"You don’t need to arrange any more meals or attendants for us today," Rhain ordered. "We won’t be needing any services for the rest of the day."
Rosanna blinked in mild surprise but quickly masked it with her polite smile. "Of course. May I ask if the accommodations are lacking in any way?"
"No, evrything is fine," Rhain indifferently replied. "I have simply decided to roam around Mirravele City today."
"Understood, sir," Rosanna nodded respectfully. "I will personally ensure that no staff member disturbs this pavilion until you request otherwise. Have a pleasant time exploring the city."
She bowed and quietly led the attendants out.
"Where exactly are we going today, Rhain?" Seris asked curiously.
Rhain picked up a steaming spirit bun, taking a slow, deliberate bite.
"We’ve come all the way to Mirravele City," He replied with a relaxed tone, "Naturally, we must look at it first. It would be a waste to stay cooped up in this courtyard all day."
Seris blinked, staring at his handsome face.
"Just looking around?’
She knew better. He wasn’t the type to wander without purpose.
But she didn’t pry.
If he wanted to keep the details to himself for now, she would simply follow his lead.
That was just how things worked between them.
"Okay," Seris gave a small nod
______________
After finishing their breakfast, the two of them stepped out of the Gilded Sparrow and merged into the bustling streets of Mirravele City.
Without a specific destination in mind, they simply wandered.
The sheer scale of the city was marvelous.
They strolled through the sprawling commercial districts.
Along the way, Seris’s initial nervousness began to melt away, replaced by a rare, girlish curiosity that she usually kept buried.
She stopped at a few vendor stalls, her eyes lingering on intricately carved jade accessories and crystallized sweet treats.
Rhain didn’t complain. He simply flicked a few Aetherium Crystals to the merchants whenever something caught her eye, paying with an indifference that left the vendors beaming.
Rhain walked with his hands tucked loosely behind his back, his gaze casually sweeping across the bustling shops.
After a few hours, the golden hues of the sun began to dip below the towering city walls.
The sky darkened, shifting into a deep, beautiful indigo.
High above, thousands of floating essence lanterns ignited, luminously glowing over the streets.
Rhain’s footsteps gradually led them deeper into the eastern district, the very area Declan had mentioned the previous day.
Eventually, they stopped before a massive, extravagantly lit tavern.
The loud, boisterous laughter of wealthy men and women and the clinking of wine cups spilled out from the open doors.
"Let’s rest here," Rhain said.
Seris silently followed him inside.
The interior was packed.
Most of the customers possessed the dense auras of the Essence Condensation Realm, with a few Spirit Manifestation experts scattered among the VIP tables.
Rhain casually flipped a high-grade Aetherium Crystal to a passing waiter, instantly securing a quiet table in the corner.
It was a perfect vantage point—partially obscured by a decorative wooden screen, yet offering an unobstructed view of the tavern’s main entrance.
They sat down, and Rhain casually ordered a few plates of high-tier spirit beast meat and a jug of expensive wine.
When the food arrived, Seris ate quietly, her face looking breathtaking under the lantern light.
Rhain also picked at his meal silently, yet every few moments, his dark grey eyes would subtly drift toward the tavern gates.
Half an hour passed.
Just as Seris finished her meal and gently wiped her mouth, a sudden commotion erupted at the front entrance.
Rhain slowly set his wine cup down. His eyes locked onto the entrance.
A drunk, middle-aged man stumbled through the doorway.
He was dressed in incredibly lavish, golden-threaded robes that screamed of immense wealth and status. His face was flushed with expensive alcohol, and a deeply arrogant, condescending smirk was plastered across his lips.
Tightly held against his side, his arm wrapped possessively around her waist, was a beautiful, scantily clad woman.
She wore a forced, nervous smile, clearly scared of angering the man holding her.
More importantly, the man made entirely no effort to conceal his cultivation base.
"Get out of my way!"
Jarek’s voice exploded through the tavern.
Arrogant, slurred, and far too loud for the enclosed space.
With a careless kick, he shoved a chair aside, forcing the customers sitting at the center table to scramble away in a panic.
They didn’t utter a single word of complaint.
They simply lowered their heads and practically vanished into the corners of the room.
Jarek didn’t even glance at them.
Without missing a beat, he dropped heavily into the main seat.
Then, with a forceful yank, he pulled the beautiful woman right onto his lap.
"Ah!"
The woman let out a startled yelp, but she didn’t dare resist.
She could only force a stiff smile, her body trembling slightly against his chest.
The tavern owner practically materialized out of thin air, a nervous, ingratiating smile stretched tight across his sweating face.
"Master Jarek! Welcome, welcome!" the owner greeted, rubbing his hands together in a display of absolute subservience.
"Bring me the best food you have! And three jugs of your finest Moon-Brewed Wine! Don’t make me wait!" Jarek ordered, his thick fingers drumming impatiently against the polished redwood table.
"Right away, Master Jarek! Right away!"
The owner bowed so low his forehead nearly touched the floor before scurrying off to fulfill the ridiculous demands.
The other cultivators in the room barely even reacted.
A few people glanced over, but they quickly lowered their heads and went back to their drinks, completely unbothered.
It was obvious.
This wasn’t their first time seeing this.
To the people of the eastern district, Jarek Solari’s overbearing behavior was basically a daily scheduled event.
Nobody dared to provoke a Level 1 Spirit Manifestation expert with the Solari Clan backing him.
Rhain just sat quietly behind the wooden screen.
He picked up his cup and took a slow sip of his wine.
His dark grey eyes locked onto the loud, obnoxious figure in the center of the room.
It was the look of a hunter who had just cornered a very oblivious, very doomed animal.
A predator entirely locked onto its prey.
