Both the Regal Lei Clan and the Yue Clan had been missing Yue Xuexia ever since it was said that she had self-destructed. It was still a bit alright with the Moon Clan. As for the mortals they didn’t perish. Instead, entered another age, the world of modern civilization where science and technology runs their life. This is the part of the land where the Moon Goddess and her family reside.

However, everything started to change when Shen Jueyang had found Yue Xuexia and entered the relationship of the system and the host. All of the changes in the world they had caused were the reason for the spiritual qi of the whole small world to be revived. When Yue Xuexia prevented the destruction of the World Tree sapling everything had changed and with the spiritual qi’s revival even the people of the mortal realm started entering the world of cultivation. Finally, Yue Xuexia left that small star and headed to the Immortal World which leads to the current reality.

So it wasn’t surprising for Lei Yuye to know how the Immortal Sun Emperor looked. His elder brother, Yue Yuya had shown him how he looked but at the same time the Everlasting Moon Emperor also prevented his brother from touching the young man, Shen Jueyang. Everyone from the Yue family had met Shen Jueyang and Taiyang before, even though there is no loving relationship between Yue Xuexia and Shen Jueyang despite their previous life’s relationship, Yue Yuya can see that his daughter treats Shen Jueyang and Taiyang as family. Even if it’s only for this reason alone, he didn’t want his younger brother, Lei Yuye, to make it hard for his daughter. That’s why Lei Yuye pretended that he didn’t recognize Shen Jueyang all along.

After spending time outside the town, Lei Yuye returned to the small courtyard as it was time for breakfast. When he returned, a long table was placed at the garden full of tantalizing dishes which was mouthwatering enough upon smelling its scent.

Yue Xuexia, who was serving the last dish which is a tray of beggar chickens said to her uncle, "After taking the chicken out of the mud, we can eat."

The tray was suddenly stolen from Yue Xuexia’s hand and the one who did it is none other than her own uncle.

"Leave this to me!" Lei Yuye said.

Everyone in the small courtyard had spent their time like this for two whole days. Tomorrow, the whole group plans to leave the outskirts and head to the interior havens. Though their destination is Inner Haven, they still need to pass through Outer Haven. Though they decided not to drop by the Hidden Tang Sect, according to the plan of the Moon Goddess, they would be dropped by the territory of the Du Clan. The Du Clan’s Leader had been bailed by the elders of the Du Clan and paid a huge amount just for the Hidden Tang Sect to let him go alive. Some few living elders and youngsters connected to the upper echelons of the Du Clan were taken away as well. Most of those who were taken were the core members of the clan and everyone else was left behind abandoned.

After being abandoned, those from the Du Clan can only wait for death and those who haven’t harmed any members of the Tang Sect prior to the battle were asked if they wanted to join the sect instead. They cannot become normal members though. They can only become servants for the sect and they do not have freedom unless their master bought it for them. For these people it’s better to be a servant that is imprisoned underground where not even a hint of sunlight lands until the day they die.

On the night before the third day which was given to Shan Xu to make a decision, in the town master’s mansion.

The mansion was now left for the old butler to handle. Shan Xu had asked his old friend Pei Ju to take care of the town for him. It was unknown whether he can still come back or would he come back here disheartened. Either way, Shan Xu still decided to see Prince Yuya again. That’s why he left his town master’s position to the person he trusted the most.

"If I don’t come back within a month you will officially become the new town master of this place. I have left almost everything I had gathered all my life in this place. Use it for your sake or for the sake of this town protection. This is the jade token that controls the defensive formation around the town. Do not hesitate to use it to protect this place."

"If something you cannot handle ask help with the Pei Clan, with the friendship I had with their clan master they would give you a face. Also..."

The old butler suddenly cut him off and said, "Master, are you not coming back?"

"Master, you are always welcome to come back here. We will always wait for you. Master, can I see you off tomorrow?" The old butler said.

Shan Xu smiled and said, "Yes, please."

At dawn before the sunrise, Shan Xu arrived at the gates of the small courtyard. Standing in front of the courtyard’s gates, Shan Xu didn’t know if he had arrived late or should he wait a bit more for the sun to rise before knocking, beside him his old butler was also with him.

The old butler asked, "Master, are we not going to knock?"

"Let’s wait for a bit. Wait for the sun to rise for a bit," said Shan Xu.

However, before that could be done, the courtyard’s wooden gate, the one which was destroyed and repaired by the Thunder Emperor, had slowly opened revealing Yue Xuexia’s beautiful face.

The Moon Goddess said, "Since you are already here, go in."

"Yes, Princess!" Shan Xu and the old butler followed Yue Xuexia inside and was led to the receiving hall where Shen Jueyang is making some fruit snacks for Yue Xuexia currently peeling some apples and grapes.

The Immortal Sun Emperor just lightly nods at them as they take a seat on the opposite side where Shen Jueyang is seated. The Moon Goddess took a seat on that side as well and served them some tea. Shan Xu wanted to stop the princess but a single glance from the Immortal Sun Emperor made him shut his mouth.

"Since you are here then that means you are coming with us. You brought your subordinate, is he the one who would take over your current position?" Yue Xuexia asked.

Shan Xu said, "Yes, he had been my butler for a very long time. I trust him with my life."

"Master~" calls the old butler as he didn’t expect his master to say these words.

The Moon Goddess looked at the old butler with a wave of her hand. A golden-silver light had fallen onto his body repairing his body and even healing all his ailment including hidden injuries as well as weakness that comes from age. She had also given him a bottle of longevity pill to extend his life for another hundred years as well as a bottle of tribulation pill.

"I have healed all your injuries and restored your body to your peak. These pills, one is to extend your current lifespan for another hundred years and the other are tribulation pills to aid you during your breakthrough in the future. Take it as a gift from me for taking care of Shan Xu all this time. Don’t worry as long as he isn’t that busy with his future duties he should be able to see you," said Yue Xuexia.

The old butler was stunned by the precious gifts that he had received but the word from the princess of letting his master see him as long as he isn’t busy with work is something that truly made him delighted. As long as there is a chance that he will be able to see his master in the future, there is nothing more he can ask for. Moreover, with the longevity pill he can live for a hundred years more and with that lifespan as long as he can break through this lifespan will be extended.

"Thank you so much, Princess!" The old butler said.
