The answer from the Fox King, Hu Raiki, was the last thing the Fox Queen had heard as he already fell before her eyes. Hu Yuyao was so shocked by the scene of the fox king falling on his back covered in blood and burns into her arms. The Fox Queen didn’t even notice that her arms had carefully cradled the body of the man who had risked his life to protect hers or that her tears had strolls down from her face without noticing.

"No... No, no, no! Please open your eyes! I don’t want this!" The Fox Queen, Hu Yuyao said in a panic.

She didn’t dare to move around her hands in fear that she might worsen the pain the Fox King, Hu Raiki, is suffering from. After blocking at least three lightning punishments for her, most of the burden had fallen on the Fox King and because he interfered, the lightning strike was unexpectedly merciless and hit him hard. Smelling the blood around her and from the body within her embrace the Fox Queen was once again losing it. She didn’t even notice that another lightning was about to fall on them and this time much more powerful. It was even in the form of a huge Qilin intending to step on them dead. For the lightning punishment to even take this shape meant how much the heavens wanted them gone.

"Queen Mother! King Father!"

Unexpectedly, at this moment, Hu Yushan had opened his eyes and saw his parents about to get hit by it. He didn’t think twice to struggle in the arms of the First Elder and break free. He runs towards his parents without hesitation. Seeing her son coming over and the divine punishment about to fall on them, the Fox Queen felt even greater fear in her heart.

Hu Yuyao shouted, "NO! DON’T COME OVER!"

With despair painted on the face of the Fox Queen, the dying figure of the Fox Queen and the desperation of the Fox Prince wanting to run to where his parents are, the Moon Goddess can no longer watch. "Xue’er?" Shen Jueyang calls.

Yue Xuexia said, "Stay here." She took a step forward and appeared between the couple and the young fox prince.

The huge lightning qilin upon hearing her command abruptly stopped and with a wave of her hand the tribulation cloud and lightning as well as the lightning qilin itself had slowly disappeared. Everyone who was watching as the long white hair of the Moon Goddess turned purple and her silver eyes akin to moonlight changed into something fierce like purple tribulation lightning itself. Her words were like a royal decree and the tribulation lightning fades revealing the bright sky behind it.

Once the sunlight fell on the figure of Yue Xuexia in her Primordial Lightning Goddess form, everyone in the crowd was dumbfounded. No one expected that one day they would witness someone control the heavenly punishment itself. After all, in the eyes of all cultivators in the world this tribulation lightning is akin to the heavens itself. It’s a dao that has its own set of rules and laws. What they didn’t know is that this Dao of Lightning is now under the full control of the Primordial Lightning Goddess which Yue Xuexia had fully inherited. It listens more to her words now than the Heavenly Laws itself.

Seeing her standing straight, tall and elegantly under the sunlight, everyone couldn’t help but stare at her for a while. The first one to move and approach her was Shen Jueyang who happily held her hands.

He asked, "Are you alright?"

Something flickers within the purple eyes of Yue Xuexia as her Primordial Lightning Goddess form starts to fade as she returns to her Moon Goddess Form. She looked at her hand held by a somewhat bigger and warm hand and looked at Shen Jueyang with her still expressionless face. However, something seems to change within the depths of her eyes. Confusion? Anxiousness? Happiness? She couldn’t explain it. Even the heart beat which was erratic for a moment had returned to normal.

In the end, she chose to ignore it.

"I’m fine," Yue Xuexia responded to Shen Jueyang before turning around to look at the couple not far away and the young fox prince who had joined them.

The Moon Goddess watches as the Fox Queen and the Fox Prince cradle on the dying figure of the Fox King within their embrace.

"K-King Father? Father, please open your eyes!" Hu Yushan said.

The Fox Queen said, "Raiki, are you listening? Please open your eyes. Can you talk to me please!?"

However, the man in their embrace had never opened his eyes once and the scent of blood and burning flesh lingers too strongly yet they seem to cannot smell it. They tried to walk up the man unconscious in their arms. Yue Xuexia approached them closer to check on the dying Fox King. The Fox Queen noticed them and finally a hint of hope appeared in her eyes.

"Your Majesty! I beg you, please save him!" Hu Yuyao said.

The Moon Goddess didn’t respond right away and said, "Don’t you not love this person? Why are you begging me to save him? Even if I saved him you cannot love him anyway, what’s the point of bringing him back? For you to hurt his heart all over again?"

These words had rendered the Fox Queen speechless. The Fox Prince wanted to say a few words to defend her parents only to be thrown back by Shen Jueyang to the First Elder who was approaching. The First Elder knew that it was meant to stop the prince from getting involved and so she had restrained the young prince, preventing him from getting involved in the business of the adults. Moreover, she wanted to know what the Fox Queen truly thought of the Fox King. After all, it can be seen from what happened how much the Fox King loves their Queen.

Under the words of the Moon Goddess, the Fox Queen looks at the man in her arms covering blood and injuries, and his eyes close hiding that pair of golden eyes who was filled with love and joy when he turned around to look at her and said that he loves her. That was the moment her frozen heart suddenly beat once again, it was a warm feeling she had never felt before. However, before she could understand this feeling she had witnessed the devastating scene of this handsome man covered in blood falling on the ground. She instinctively reaches out her hands and embraces the person.

The feeling of the warmth in her heart which she had never felt before started to cool by the cooling body of the man within her embrace. She knew that this man who had loved her wholeheartedly is slowly dying. He was about to be gone forever.

"No. That’s not true! I... I don’t know. I don’t know if what I am feeling right now is love. But I don’t want to lose him! Your majesty, I am begging you. I am willing to exchange anything for him. I will give you anything!" The Fox Queen said.

The eyes of the Moon Goddess narrowed meaningfully and said, "Anything? If I told you I want your divination ability, would you be willing to give it to me?"

Everyone in the crowd except for the Immortal Sun Emperor were shocked. No one had expected that the Moon Goddess would ask about the ability of Divination, not the technique but the current ability the Fox Queen had trained all her life. It was also the only thing that connected her to the Immortal Star Emperor. Giving it away means that she is willing to move on from him.

The silence only lasted for a minute and the Fox Queen who was staring at the Fox King in her arms, carefully, wiped the blood on his face.

She then said, "I am willing. This time... I want to love someone who also loves me."

The moment these words were spoken, Yue Xuexia noticed her heart move a single beat. It was unknown if it was hers, or someone within her. After all, she is currently not just one person. Yue Xuehua also lives within her. That’s why she didn’t know if this heartbeat was hers or her.

The Moon Goddess said, "Good. Since you had made a choice I will remove that divination technique from you."

Yue Xuexia used her qi to erase the technique in the Fox Queen and destroyed all her memories about the Divination Technique. After she did, the thread of karma between her and Immortal Star Emperor had been cut and the heavenly punishment accumulated on her body was taken away as well. Without this lingering punishment which is no different from a curse, Yue Xuexia can now use her Sacred Healing Technique to cure the two Royal Foxes. A golden-silver light surrounds the Fox King and the Fox Queen and under this light all kinds of injuries from internal to external had been healed.

The Fox King slowly opens his eyes. When he opened his eyes he saw the Fox Queen and his son, Hu Yushan looking at him with tears in their eyes. Before he could say a word, the two hugged him.
