I forced my eyes open, my vision blurry as four figures flew up onto the rooftop and landed around me.

"What the...? There’s no one here."

"Don’t let your guard down, be careful!"

"My instincts are telling me that someone’s here..."

"Show yourself, whoever you are!"

I shouldn’t have any trouble running away, especially since they can’t see me...but they’re bound to tighten security if I leave, which’ll only make things harder.

I paused for a moment, before undoing Spirit Fusion and turning myself visible, the Demons tensing up as I appeared in sight.

"Calm down, I’m not here to fight. I was summoned to this world against my will, so I’ve got no reason to fight you guys. I just want to go back to my world, and I heard that the Demons have a way to send me back. That’s why I’m here," I remarked calmly, as I slowly put Desecrator back into Treasury.

"Another Hero, huh? Tch...those vile humans, how many more of their own people will they sacrifice?"

Let’s have a look, Appraisal:

He had medium-length wild electric dark yellow hair, bright glowing blue eyes, a fair complexion, sharp fangs and pointy claws, and he was pretty tall, with a strong, agile build, with a short spear in his hand.

And he’s pretty powerful by this world’s standards, second only to the Devil Spirit that Cleo summoned, as far as I’ve seen so far.

Let’s have a look at one of the others:

She had light purple curly hair that went past her shoulders, green eyes, a lightly tanned complexion, sharp fangs and long pointy claws, and she had a slender figure with a flat chest.

She’s pretty powerful too, and it looks like she doesn’t have any weapons.

Hm, next:

She had longish, wild snowy white hair that partially covered her right eye, dark gray eyes, sharp fangs and short, sharp claws, and had a strong build with large breasts.

She’s got a spiky metal ball club, the spikes extended with ice.

Interesting, these Demons seem pretty powerful. Not quite on the level of the Archdemons we fought, but well above the regular Demons.

Now, then, last one:

Personal Details:

Name: Zevek Raze

Age: 158

Gender: Male

Height: 6’9"

Weight: 99 KG

Ability Details:

Elemental Magic: Fire

Spirits: Phoenix: Scorch, Salamander: Lava

Spirit Fusion: Yes

Stats:

HP: 1950

MP: 1980

Strength: 1963

Agility: 2008

Vitality: 1937

Perception: 1885

Power Level: 1,953,800

He had spiky hair the color of fire, similarly colored eyes, sharp fangs and serrated claws, a pale complexion, and a skinny, lanky build, with a long, narrow sword in hand.

He’s the most powerful of the four, but all of them are well above X-Ace level. I was under the impression that the individuals of this world can’t cross that level without Spirit Fusion, guess I was wrong. Maybe that only applies to humans, and Demons have a higher ceiling.

Now, then...are they going to attack?

"Hm? Hey, now that I take a closer look...there’s something familiar about this human. He reminds me of someone, but I can’t quite discern who," Frowned Deilelne, the purple-haired Demon.

Huh?

"Enough talk. I don’t care if he’s a Hero or not, all humans must die!" Snarled Zevek, flames erupting around his sword as he shot towards me, letting out a roar of exertion as he closed in and slashed at my head with his blade.

I let out a sigh as I ducked down below the swing of his blade and drove my left hand forward, slamming my palm against his solar plexus and unleashing a Mana Pulse.

He let out a sharp gasp of pain as he stumbled back and collapsed onto his knees with a wheeze, a trickle of blood running down the right corner of his mouth.

Hm, I held back a fair bit, but still, that did less damage than I was expecting, he’s pretty sturdy.

"Like I said, I’m not here to fight, I just want to go back to my world. I’m a lot stronger than you guys are, so fighting me is a waste of your time," I remarked, as I glanced around at the other three.

I should probably hold off on bringing the others out of the Pocket Dimension, don’t want the Demons mistaking that as a sign of aggression.

"D-Damn, you...!" Growled Zevek, as he shakily got back onto his feet, before stumbling back and coughing out blood.

"Calm down, Zevek. I don’t think he’s bluffing...every instinct in my body is screaming at me to run away. If he fought us in earnest, we’ll likely all die. So, perhaps we should-...," Began Reritea warily.

"No! If this human is such a serious threat, we cannot let him anywhere near the Demon Lord! We need to kill him, here and now!" Snapped Zevek, before chanting as he swiftly backed away a few paces, "[Spirit Fusion, Phoenix: Scorch]!"

Flames erupted around him as fiery orange and yellow feathers appeared on his forearms, wings and along the length of his tail, a fan of feathers sprouting over the end of his tail.

"Well, I guess we’re doing this. Fine, then...[Spirit Fusion, Tempest Falcon: Breeze]," Chanted Deilelne with a sigh, unleashing a similar transformation to Zevek, but with light green feathers instead, wind bursting out and swirling around her.

Come on...guess I don’t have a choice. The other two look hesitant, but they’ll probably join in once the fighting begins. Should I bring out the others?

No, it’d be bad timing right now, it would only reinforce their suspicions. I need to deal with this myself and figure out a way to de-escalate the situation...
