Slowly Falling into His Love Trap
Chapter 358: The One I Love Is Not You
Mr. Clayton looked at Julian Keaton, opened his mouth, but couldn’t utter a single syllable.
"Julian Keaton!" Mr. Keaton’s voice squeezed out from between his teeth, "If you keep being disrespectful, don’t blame me for being harsh with you!"
"I’m not the one being disrespectful!" Julian raised his voice, "I’ve been suppressing my feelings for you all along, yet none of you ever consider me."
"Brother..."
"For you, I’ve let her down, hurt her, and only after she decided to leave me did I realize that what I did was utterly worthless!" Julian clenched his fist, the light in his eyes growing colder. "I was wrong, ludicrously wrong."
Thinking of all the suffering Cecilia Lynch endured for him, while he constantly shielded greedy family members, Julian’s guilt twisted painfully at his heart.
His Cece!
Never asking anything of him, just foolishly following his instructions!
Even when wronged and heartbroken, not complaining even once!
Julian’s nose felt sore, Cecilia’s smiling face dancing in his mind; she was such a woman who loved to smile, yet he always made her cry.
"This wedding." Julian’s thin lips parted slightly, "I’m not going through with it."
His words were exceptionally clear, and as soon as they fell, the gloom on his face instantly lifted like a storm clearing.
"Julian!" Everyone present was stunned.
Julian had never defied his parents, but now...
"It’s my repeated concessions that made you believe you could act without limits. Listen well, from now on, I will make all my choices, whether you decide to kick me out and cut ties, or respect my decision and be true family with me, it’s up to you." Two choices, one or the other.
As his words fell, Julian stood up and walked away.
His handsome face remained as cold as ice, without any extra expressions, but his eyes surged with intense excitement and light. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
"Julian!" Hannah Clayton reacted first.
She caught up, grabbing Julian’s arm tightly, shouting, "Don’t go! Today is our engagement party, don’t go! I’m the one you’re supposed to marry, I’m the one who loves you, marrying me won’t be a loss!"
Julian withdrew his hand, looking at Hannah with ruthlessness in his gaze, his thin lips parted slightly, "The person I love isn’t you, and who I want to marry won’t be you either."
"It’s that Cecilia Lynch, right?" Hatred tinged Hannah’s voice, "What’s so good about her? How does she compare to me?"
"She doesn’t need to compare with you." Julian replied firmly, "I love her, and that’s enough."
"You and Cecilia Lynch are impossible!" Hannah grabbed Julian again, "Have you considered her status? The Keaton Family will never allow a woman like her in!"
"Then I’ll follow her into The Lynch Family." Julian pushed Hannah away from him, "Hannah, find a man who loves you, your life might be better."
After speaking, Julian wasted no words, sprinting away.
Now he had one thought—go see Cecilia Lynch.
He missed her, he was on the brink of madness.
By his side, she endured much grievance.
Time and again, he turned away, leaving her in dark corners, never reaching out during her despair, continually confining her there.
He was wrong.
He was gravely mistaken!
No matter if she won’t forgive him, won’t give him a chance, he would cling to her side, never leaving again!
Hannah couldn’t catch up to Julian, watched him drive away, exhausted and breathing heavily, she slumped down, angrily pounding the floor, crying, "Come back! I’m your wife, Julian! Julian Keaton! Come back to me!"
But, Julian was resolute, showing no intention of caring about Hannah...
