Slowly Falling into His Love Trap
Chapter 374: A Divorce Agreement Delivered by Courier?
"Don’t mention him to me!" Evelyn’s voice squeezed out through her teeth.
"Young Madam..."
"Enough! I’m going to sleep!" Evelyn retorted with a bad tone. "He can come back or not for all I care! I sleep in this big bed alone, and I can move however I want, it’s great!"
Saying this, she closed her eyes, breathing heavily.
Aunt May shook her head helplessly.
The Young Madam clearly wants the Young Master to come back!
But... who knows what the Young Master is busy with, it seems he doesn’t plan to come home tonight.
When will this young couple finally reconcile!
After Aunt May left, Evelyn opened her eyes.
Looking into the endless night, she turned over, and under the light coming from outside the bedroom, she gazed at the spot where Caden used to sleep. She reached out and gently touched his pillow.
Under the pillow, there was the Egan Cross she had taken from the theme restaurant.
Back then, she foolishly said Caden looked a lot like Egan Cross.
Replaying that memory in her mind, why does it feel like it was so long ago?
In this home, nothing has changed, the only thing missing is Caden.
Evelyn felt helpless, Caden didn’t come back, and she couldn’t bring herself to go find him, so she just had to wait like this...
At dawn, Evelyn was woken up by Aunt May shaking her.
"Young Madam! The Young Master sent something for you!" Aunt May’s voice was filled with an exciting surprise.
"Sending what, I’m still not asleep..." Before she could finish muttering, Evelyn suddenly opened her eyes, looking at Aunt May, and asked anxiously, "Uncle sent me something? What is it?"
"I don’t know." Aunt May shook her head, "The courier said you had to personally go to the door to pick it up, and wouldn’t let me see."
As soon as Aunt May’s words fell, Evelyn threw off the quilt, didn’t even bother to put on shoes, and ran out in her pajamas.
"Young Madam!" Aunt May called out worriedly, "Put on shoes! You’re already sick!"
Evelyn couldn’t care less, ran barefoot to the door, saw the courier, and shouted, "I’m here! It’s me! I’m Evelyn! I’m Mrs. Lockwood!"
The courier looked at Evelyn, awkwardly curled his lips, a blush appearing on his cheeks, and his gaze lowered to the ground.
Evelyn instinctively looked at herself, her pajamas were conservative, but she hadn’t had time to wear a bra.
She widened her eyes, immediately turned back, casually threw on a coat, covered herself, and then went out again, this time remembering to wear shoes.
Evelyn tried hard to appear graceful, not wanting to seem too anxious, cleared her throat, and said softly, "Give me the parcel."
In the hot weather, she wore a coat, and within a minute, she was covered in sweat.
When the courier turned around to find the package, Evelyn noticed he actually drove a small car to deliver it.
She thought to herself: Isn’t this a bit over the top!
"Oh no! Where’s the package Mr. Lockwood sent to Mrs. Lockwood?" Suddenly the courier shouted nervously, "Mrs. Lockwood, don’t worry, I’ll look for it!"
Saying this, the courier dove into the car to look.
"It’s missing?" Evelyn’s face instantly changed, deep anxiety on her face, "Are you kidding me? You came to deliver my package, but you lost it?"
"Mrs. Lockwood, please open the trunk and see if your package is there! I have too many packages in the car; let me search carefully first!" The courier pleaded.
Evelyn felt helpless, desperately wanting to know what Caden couriered to her.
She couldn’t help but think: Could it be the divorce papers were couriered over?
After all, wasn’t the marriage certificate couriered as well?
That would certainly be his style!
