The car sped onto the set.

Quickly greeting the crew members along the way, Chen Yu soon found Burnett.

Burnett was directing the crew as they set up camera tracks. When he saw Chen Yu, he immediately put on a punchable expression that screamed, ’Hurry up and praise me. Treat me like the omnipotent god I am.’

"Nice work."

Chen Yu graciously offered him a word of praise.

Meanwhile, O’Neal had already rushed over excitedly to hug Chen Yu, yelling about how cool the show was.

It wasn’t that he’d never met Michael Jackson before, but to get Michael Jackson on a TV show... all he could say was that Chen Yu was incredible.

"Calm down." Chen Yu let go of O’Neal and then asked Burnett when their guest would arrive.

"What, can’t wait?"

Burnett’s tone was as smug as ever.

Chen Yu rolled his eyes at him, speechless. ’That’s enough out of you.’

Burnett cleared his throat and said, "Soon. He’ll be here any minute."

Just as he finished speaking, a series of gasps and exclamations came from outside the villa.

Needless to say, he had arrived.

Chen Yu immediately stood up and walked out of the villa.

In the direction of the parking lot, a man in a black jacket with long hair, his frame so thin it looked like a gust of wind could knock him over, was completely surrounded by the set’s crew members, fulfilling everyone’s requests for autographs.

He had already spotted Chen Yu and O’Neal and nodded in their direction, but he didn’t push his way out of the crowd. Instead, he did his best to sign an autograph for every single person before finally walking over, followed by his bodyguards.

Chen Yu took a deep breath and extended his hand.

"Hello, Dr. Chen." Michael Jackson’s handshake was as light as a dragonfly skimming the water’s surface.

This was the first time Chen Yu had met Michael Jackson in a private setting.

Without the heavy stage makeup, you could see his terrible skin, ravaged by illness. But his voice was surprisingly gentle, with even a hint of timidity.

Before they could exchange more than a few words, O’Neal had already pushed Chen Yu aside and was grinning as he shook Michael Jackson’s hand.

"Let’s go inside to talk," Chen Yu said.

Seeing his idol, Chen Yu was enveloped in a profound sense of happiness, but he also keenly noticed Michael Jackson’s discomfort.

When it came to the media, Chen Yu’s rule was to listen to thirty percent and believe ten. He certainly didn’t believe the slander about Michael Jackson in the papers, but reading between the lines, he could guess that Michael Jackson had a sensitive and introverted personality.

He was definitely a little uncomfortable in crowded environments.

Upon entering the villa, Chen Yu fell a step behind and told Burnett to clear out as many of the crew members as possible, at least so they wouldn’t be gawking.

"I get it, I get it." Burnett wore an expression that said, ’I know you want to be alone with your idol,’ and ordered the assistant director to clear the room.

Chen Yu ignored him and gave Michael Jackson a brief tour of the villa before they finally sat down in the living room to chat.

Back when Burnett had suggested inviting Michael Jackson, Chen Yu couldn’t help but wonder what he would say if he actually got to meet him in person.

Now that he was here, the many things he had thought of saying were stuck in his throat.

However, Chen Yu quickly adjusted his mindset and thanked Michael Jackson for coming on the show to bring attention to the issue of adolescent obesity.

"I’ve seen many children who struggle with obesity. For some severe cases, even running is difficult. This is a good thing you’re doing, so I should be thanking you, Chen. You’re using your influence to do something good." After thanking him, Michael Jackson suddenly asked if Chen Yu needed funding. He offered to donate some money to help expand the show’s influence and get more people to pay attention to the issue.

Chen Yu then remembered that the man before him was a fiend for donating, having dedicated his entire life to charitable activities.

Chen Yu quickly thanked him and said it wasn’t necessary.

He knew Michael Jackson meant well, but this problem couldn’t be solved just by doing some charity work or setting up a foundation.

’If I really wanted to solve it, I’d be better off having a chat with Mr. President.’

’And even if I did, it probably wouldn’t do much good.’

The power of the food industry giants was terrifying. Chen Yu had once mentioned on his show that salad dressing contained high calories, and the Kraft Group had immediately threatened to sue. If he really touched the fast-food industry’s pie, they would play for keeps.

’So even the president would be useless in this matter.’

"Actually, I went to China once before. One morning, I passed by a school and saw through the railings that they were doing calisthenics routines in the schoolyard. That’s actually a great way to encourage kids to exercise and improve their physical fitness," Chen Yu said.

Americans admire sports, and schools have all sorts of clubs, but in reality, only a minority of students actually participate.

Chen Yu himself was an example. When he was in school, the various sports clubs for football, basketball, and so on were the exclusive domain of a select few.

This was because it was all tied to scholarships and potential benefits—for example, joining the football team, becoming a popular figure at school, and being admired by girls.

The vast majority of ordinary kids were lucky if they weren’t bullied; most were either skinny or overweight nerdy weaklings.

So while the atmosphere around sports was good, it had little to do with the average kid.

"But in the United States, a method like that would never catch on."

Speaking of which, group calisthenics actually flourished in the United States, but later on, some people felt it infringed on their freedom, so it was banned and gradually replaced by aerobics.

Michael Jackson sat quietly, listening intently. When he heard Chen Yu mention China, he interjected, "I’ve been to China. It left a deep impression on me."

Then he asked if Chen Yu wanted to promote group calisthenics in American schools.

Chen Yu shook his head.

’This is just like the fast-food issue. Even the president can’t do anything about it.’

"Not exactly, Michael. I just have a small idea," Chen Yu said.

Since he had managed to get Michael Jackson on the show, Chen Yu certainly couldn’t just borrow his influence and leave it at that.

Michael had come on this show because he wanted to do something. Out of respect for that sentiment, Chen Yu, as a fan, had to do something tangible in return.

"I’d like you to design a dance routine. The moves should be simple and easy to learn, preferably set to some energetic music. We can then feature it on the show. Ideally, it would start a trend, encouraging lots of kids to imitate and learn it, which would help them get some exercise."

This was an idea that had popped into Chen Yu’s head on the way over.

Originally, for this episode, Chen Yu had planned to introduce fitness exercises like the Five Animals Qigong and the Eight Pieces of Brocade.

First, practicing these exercises definitely had benefits; this was something Chen Yu knew from long-term practice.

They wouldn’t give you superhuman strength, allow you to fly, or turn you into a martial arts expert, but they did have the effect of improving one’s physical condition.

Second, thanks to Bruce Lee, there was a group of people in the United States who were fond of mysterious Chinese kung fu, so there was a certain market for it.

Finally, Chen Yu also wanted to package this into a concept.

For example, he could call it "Light Fitness."

The principle would be achieving the same effects as an outdoor workout through light-intensity fitness, done in a convenient time frame and in any available space.

The American middle and upper classes ate up these kinds of concepts proposed by authority figures.

’If this really takes off, maybe I’ll even become the ’Father of Light Fitness’ someday.’

Drawing an analogy, Chen Yu thought of having Michael Jackson choreograph a dance. It should be easy to learn and a little bit addictive, something to attract teenagers to learn it. If it could sweep the nation, that would be even better, as it would get this generation of kids moving.

Michael Jackson’s eyes immediately lit up, and he said with pleasant surprise, "Chen, you’re so clever. That’s a great idea."

Over twenty million people watched Chen Yu’s weight loss show. Who knew how many children those numbers could influence? Even if only a million kids ended up seeing the dance he choreographed and were willing to learn it and get some exercise, Michael Jackson would feel it was completely worth it.

In that moment, it was as if Michael Jackson had suddenly come alive. He entered an excited, work-focused state and asked Chen Yu what requirements he had for the dance.

"Like... the Bunny Hop, or a swing dance," Chen Yu said after a moment’s thought.

With his level of professionalism, Michael Jackson immediately understood Chen Yu’s idea. He thought for a moment and said, "Chen, when will this episode of your show air?"

Burnett quickly interjected, "April 27th."

Next Sunday.

"Then there’s only one week." Michael Jackson frowned slightly, then said, "Seven days might be enough, but if it’s really not, then give me another two weeks. I can film another episode."

Burnett’s eyes lit up.

For this one episode, he had already exhausted himself talking, negotiating with Michael Jackson’s business team for ages.

He never expected that after just a short chat with Chen Yu, Michael Jackson would voluntarily offer to film another episode.

"That would be fantastic." Burnett could barely contain his grin.

They chatted for a while longer before filming began.

First up for today was the food segment.

It was a weight loss show, but they were somehow shooting it like a food show.

The theme was crystal shrimp dumplings.

Michael Jackson personally joined in, learning how to wrap the shrimp dumplings from Chen Yu on camera.

"I’ve had these before." Michael Jackson had been to the Yuehai region of China and was familiar with this dish.

With his nimble hands and serious attitude, he quickly folded beautiful pleats into the dumplings.

Only O’Neal, whose fingers were as thick as carrots, found the delicate work to be absolute torture. He complained nonstop, because no matter how well they were wrapped, none of them were going to end up in his mouth anyway.

Chen Yu enjoyed the whole process, especially after Michael Jackson devoured two whole steamers of shrimp dumplings.

’He seems to really like Chinese food, too.’

After lunch, while Michael Jackson was on a break getting his makeup touched up, Chen Yu noticed the male assistant who had been with him pull out a pill organizer from his backpack. It wasn’t small—the kind with more than a dozen compartments.

Then Michael Jackson started downing his pills.

Chen Yu felt that "downing" was truly the only word to describe it.

From tablets to capsules, green, red, white, and black, large and small, some he took one or two of, others five or six. Chen Yu just watched from the side as Michael Jackson spent a full two minutes, washing them all down with half a bottle of water, just to finish all his medication.
