Hamburg said, looking at White, who glanced up at him.

His next action shocked him speechless.

White jumped after him, high into the air, his palms pushing against his shoulder and instantly cancelling his downward momentum.

Less than a split second later, he yanked Hamburg out of the air. Then, with a swift jerk as instructed by the Battle Instructor, and turning Hamburg downward with the aid of his back,

KAAABOOOOOOM!

A hole was made in the wooden floor as Hamburg smashed into the ground, disappearing into the massive crater that had appeared there.

"What the fuck!"

Some of the students froze in disbelief, all quickly moving to the crater. What they saw made their breath run cold.

Hamburg, the notorious bully of the Combat Class training, was flat on his back, both limbs spread far apart and a snore escaping his fat lips.

"He got knocked to sleep?"

"Hey horn dude. You gotta calm the fuck down!"

A student shouted to White, who shrugged, but before he could reply—

"Calm down!?"

The Battle Instructor shouted.

"That is exactly how it’s supposed to be done! Everyone get back to training. I wanna see another student laid out flat like Hamburg in the next three minutes!"

He shouted at them before picking up the unconscious Hamburg from the ground.

A couple staff at the side came in, helping the chubby guy out to the hospital.

"Good throw, White."

The Instructor said, as White scratched the back of his head, replying.

"Thank you, Battle Instructor Kaeldar."

White still remembered the Instructor. He was the one who had sent him points as a thank you for whooping Gustav’s ass the first time.

"Go take a seat!"

"Hey, why does he get to take a seat!"

A student protested.

"You can ask me that after your opponent’s back is on the ground. Now get on with it, you weak pricks, I wanna see some pummelling!"

The dojo ground shook once more as another student was soon laid out flat on the ground gasping for air.

"That’s a good smash, Torin! You deserve your seat."

He said to the young man who exhaled in exhaustion before turning back to his seat.

"Someone call in the meds to carry this weak prick out of here. And another remind him, he owes me two smacks tomorrow!"

"Crazy class, no?"

The words sounded behind White as they all poured out of the dojo.

He turned back, finding a familiar figure.

"It is. Combat Instructor Kaelder is as wild as ever."

White replied, as the young man grinned, his golden eyes casting faint golden rays on the side of White’s face.

He was none other than Gustav.

"Good to have you back, White Sinclaw."

He said, as White grinned.

"I trust you’ll be able to keep that down. The academy don’t want any to know I’ve returned."

He said as Gustav shrugged.

"I know. Nice horns, by the way."

He said, as White rolled his eyes.

They were all heading for the cafeteria.

"You know, I checked the ranking yesterday when I got back to my dorm. I saw your rank."

White commented, as Gustav’s eyes narrowed before relaxing.

"Disappointing, no? I really went from being rank 2 when you left to Number 11 when you came back."

Gustav said, obviously also not satisfied with his ranking.

"I thought you stopped challenging students."

White said, but Gustav shook his head.

"No. I’ve had more challenges this past month than I ever did in the last five months, and still struggling to break through Top 10."

He said, and White hummed.

"Don’t look down on them, White. They’re quite tough."

Was Gustav’s last comment before he tapped on White’s shoulder and joined along with a couple guys, as they moved to a table in the corner of the cafeteria.

White also stepped into the cafeteria.

The place was quite filled to the brim, making finding an empty table beyond hard.

In the end, White found one that was only taken by one person and he moved there.

"Hello."

He greeted the young man who sat there, face buried in his meal, but didn’t receive a reply from him.

But White didn’t mind getting ignored.

He ordered his food, one that cost 15 points.

He couldn’t afford to splash money on food right now, not when he only had 100 points and wasn’t planning on taking a challenge anytime soon.

But it wasn’t as if he was hungry anyway. Days had passed in this new body of his and he had not felt the sensation of hunger, just as he hadn’t felt the sensation of sleep.

All of this was muscle memory.

He picked up his fork and spoon, preparing to dive in, when all of a sudden, a notification flashed in the corner of his gaze.

White turned to it and what he saw made the spoon slip from his fingers.

[NEW ALERT!]

[Congratulations. Your Inherent Skill: Awakening Souls Copy has been naturally Upgraded!]

[You have gained New Awakening Slots!]

It said.

"For real!?"

White called out in disbelief.

"You can see it too?"

The whisper suddenly resounded in his head as White paused, turning to look at him, the boy that was seated beside him.

"The poison in your food. You can see it, right?"

The young man asked again and White froze for a second time, his eyes narrowing at the soup.

It looked completely the same, without any obvious difference, but then his eyes couldn’t help but pick up some sort of green steam mixing with the brown steam of the soup.

’What the?’

If not for being called out, White would never have noticed such a minute difference at all, mistaking it as some sort of ingredient.

His eyes narrowed, noticing there was an invisible line of some sort that was focused on his dish, releasing the poisonous mist into his food, and his eyes traced it, settling on a figure.

A figure who had his head to the side, his lips pausing before he slowly turned towards White.

"That’s Pinfry."
