SSS-Class Summoner: I only Summon Primordial Spirits
Chapter 22— Fight to the Death
Laden’s eyes widened in shock as he felt heat coalesce in the Wolf-king’s mouth.
"How do I escape this?" Laden thought urgently.
"It seems we have to go through it the rough way," he said with a sigh after some ideas pitched by Prime.
Laden curled up his fist, ready to send it directly flying into the beast’s head from the side, completely ignoring the charging Fireball.
Using all the speed and strength he could muster, Laden’s punch landed heavily, redirecting the fireball.
But despite all that, he still wasn’t able to fully redirect it. The fireball still ended up passing by his hand, creating a large burnt wound.
"You are in a hell of trouble for that," Laden shouted.
Using the pain he felt from his injuries as fuel, Laden immediately began raining a barrage of attacks on the beast while using all of the best combat techniques.
The injured Wolf-king was immediately overwhelmed with nothing to do but take on more injuries, but its eyes seemed to betray its thoughts.
The Wolf-king’s eyes displayed some sort of calm and calculated appearance despite being continued.
Laden was just about to dish out a final attack sending the Wolf-king flying when he suddenly froze.
"Get out of there as soon as possible," Prime shouted from Laden’s mind.
Since he had also felt a crazy danger, Laden didn’t refute at all and instantly began leaping backwards to create a distance.
When he felt he had gotten to a comfortable distance away from the standing Wolf-king, a soft smile formed on Laden’s face.
"You are really like a wolf," he said.
"Scheming and planning and not fighting head-on," his eyes locked on the ground around the Wolf-king.
Around the Wolf-king was a pit of fire mixed with earth, creating Magma.
"Prime, how do we fight this crazy stuff?" Laden questioned in his mind.
He watched as the Golden light emanating from its head intensified, healing almost all of the injuries. Laden had just inflicted, leaving only the rotting parts.
"Now we are back to where we started, and now we can’t even get close to it," He said frustratedly.
"Relax, Laden. We are not just brutish fighters; we have brains too all we need is a chance," Prime said to calm Laden down.
"But for now, we need to focus on surviving," his tone intensified as he spoke.
Upon getting all of his fresh injuries head-on, the Wolf-king went into an attack position and started spewing out Fireballs. All aimed at Laden or to block Laden’s path.
"You have successfully created a wall; now all that is left is to act like an attack tower, uhh," Laden muttered as he moved as fast as he could.
Drawing upon all of the best movement and flexibility techniques he could muster, Laden weaved through the barrage of attacks.
While he was able to dodge some, he was still hit by many of them, leaving burnt and smoking patches all over his body.
"We can’t go on like this; we need a way of getting closer, and we need it fast," Laden said between short, uneven breaths.
"Yes yes, I know," Prime responded.
"And that’s why I now have an idea," Prime said arrogantly.
"Really, you do?" Laden asked with wide eyes.
"Tell me fast,"
"We fight like absolute savages," Prime shouted confidently.
"Absolute savages, didn’t we say we should use our heads not too long ago, and now we are savages?"
"That was then; we still had more time to spend in the merged state, and we weren’t so injured, but now our time is running out, and we are like an old ragdoll."
"Our time is running out?" Laden asked in shock.
"Yes, it is, so we need to do something fast," Prime urged.
"What would you have me do then?" Laden asked again.
While Laden was busy making plans with Prime, he had been busy running around the Wolf-king dodging Fireballs.
"If you weren’t such a useless Collaborator, we would be much stronger than we are now, and this scheming weakling wouldn’t have anything on us,"
"Too much talking Prime, what do we do?" Laden cut him off.
"Can you remember the skill I used against that Pesky Sapphire tree?" Prime asked.
"Yes, that weird rampage skill that attracted that presence," Laden responded.
"Exactly, you will be using that now," Prime said.
"How? It’s not part of the skill I unlocked," Laden retorted.
"I have to warn you though; I don’t know what will happen when we do this," Prime said.
"I trust you; let’s do it," Laden replied immediately.
"Alright then."
Laden, who had been previously running all around, immediately stopped in his tracks, stunning the Wolf-king too.
"Haaaaaaa," Laden shouted in a voice that sounded more like a roar.
He felt his Spirit Energy almost totally drain instantly while his body also underwent crazy changes.
His hands began contorting, growing larger and more beast-like. The fur on his hands and face also grew much longer, whereas hair grew on new parts of his body.
The changes didn’t end there as Laden felt his teeth grow larger.
"This is Crazy painful Prime," Laden shouted at Prime in his head, but he received no response.
Using all of the strength he had left, Laden charged Straight at the Wolf-king, ignoring the Flames that surrounded it.
Despite his feet getting burnt extremely harshly, Laden didn’t mind at all; instead, he moved with increasing ferocity. Soon he had arrived in front of the Wolf-king who had prepared a fireball.
But unlike previously, Laden didn’t attempt to dodge; instead, he kept his charge, and soon he arrived in front of the Wolf-king, sending a large sound towards its head.
The hand moved with so much force Laden felt the air compress in front of it. The fireball finally hit, but Laden ignored it, focusing solely on his attack.
"This time you die for real, and finally, you won’t be corrupting this place anymore, hurting more lives," Laden screamed, channeling his pain and anger.
