Chapter 21: Yeon Allistar

The labeling running smoothly across the bottom of the television screen read in bold, prominent lettering: "Yeon Allistar, S-rank talent and heir to the great Roaring Lions Guild."

The bright white text flashed clearly against the broadcast, instantly capturing the full attention of anyone watching the report.

As the camera zoomed in closer on his features, his face bore a striking, undeniable resemblance to Leon.

The shape of his jawline, the structure of his nose, and the sharp angle of his eyes were very similar to the young man standing inside the dusty bar.

Although they were not identical twins, meaning that anyone could still easily tell the difference between the two of them, there was absolutely no denying the deep, genetic resemblance they had.

There was one stark difference between them though, which was their hair colour.

While Yeon had blonde hair, just like their father, Leon had black hair, taking after their mother in that aspect.

Leon gnashed his teeth, his jaw muscles clenching hard as he stared up at the face on the screen.

A sudden wave of intense bitterness and cold anger welled up deep inside his chest, and he thought to himself a single, heavy word:

’Brother...’

Teo, who was still leaning heavily against the bar counter, chuckled lightly under his breath as he shifted his gaze.

He looked at Leon’s tense face for a second, then looked back at the handsome man appearing on the television screen, shaking his head in mild amusement.

"Woah..." the bald bartender said, a mocking grin spreading across his face as he made the connection. "I never actually compared your faces side by side like this before, but you two really look alike, huh?"

Teo let out a sharp, cynical snort, crossing his arms as he continued to speak in a deeply provocative, insulting tone.

"It really makes you wonder how one of you ended up getting completely disowned by the great Allistar family, falling all the way down to a trash, useless, weak, god-forsaken porter," Teo sneered, his eyes dripping with absolute contempt. "And the other became an incredible S-rank talent recognized by the entire world!"

Leon completely ignored his mocking words.

He kept his eyes locked firmly on the monitor, focusing his entire mind on whatever it was his successful brother had to say to the aggressive crowd of journalists.

On the screen, the chaotic noise of the crowd finally quieted down slightly as a single, brave reporter pushed her microphone forward.

She loudly asked what he personally thought about the sudden, tragic death of Ran, who was a prominent A-rank talent belonging directly to the Roaring Lions Guild.

The question hung heavily in the air of the recorded terminal, and the reporters pressed even closer to Yeon.

They were all holding their breath, holding their recording devices completely steady as they waited for the proud heir to deliver his official statement on the massive loss of one of his guild’s top-tier assets.

On the flickering screen, Yeon Allistar slowly shifted his head, turning his gaze away from the crowded terminal to look directly into the camera.

The moment his black eyes aligned with the viewers at home, his handsome face instantly turned incredibly cold.

He leaned slightly toward the primary camera, his voice carrying an absolute, terrifying weight that echoed sharply through the bar’s small speakers.

"I don’t care about whoever did this..." Yeon stated, his tone completely flat and mechanical, devoid of any basic human emotion. "But wherever they are hiding right now, they should know they have deeply offended who they absolutely shouldn’t offend. I will take it entirely upon myself to personally find them, hunt them down, and cut them into pieces!"

The absolute bloodlust radiating from his dark eyes lasted for only a brief moment before his face completely returned to normal, replaced once again by his flawless, pristine public persona.

He looked right back at the stunned reporter who had asked the initial question, a bright, polite smile forming effortlessly on his lips.

"Such is the inevitable price for killing a respected member of the Roaring Lions," he added smoothly, his voice returning to its usual calm, charismatic tone as if he hadn’t just promised a brutal execution on live television.

Back inside the quiet, dusty bar, Leon’s eyes widened slightly upon hearing his brother’s arrogant words.

He didn’t feel a single shred of fear or intimidation from the terrifying threat displayed on the screen. Instead, his lips slowly and deliberately curled upward into a dark, mocking smile.

The sheer absurdity of Yeon’s absolute confidence was genuinely amusing to him, sparking a dangerous fire deep within his chest.

’That’s really nice...’ Leon thought, his dark eyes gleaming with a mixture of intense hatred and anticipation.

He stared at his brother’s smiling face on the monitor, a silent vow forming in his mind. ’I have also taken it completely upon myself to utterly destroy that useless guild. I will tear down everything you stand for, and I will make you and father beg directly at my feet for mercy before the end.’

The burning desire for vengeance wasn’t something new; it had been festering inside his soul for a very long time.

Ever since they had ruthlessly chased him out of the Allistar estate like a stray dog, his life had been a living hell.

They hadn’t just thrown him out onto the streets; they had also made absolutely sure to use their massive influence to block every single other place where he could have potentially found an opportunity to grow or earn a proper living.

They had systematically blacklisted him from every respectable guild in the region, forcing him to live in the absolute dirt.

From that exact moment, he had made up his mind to bring down the great guild completely, even if it was the absolute last thing he ever did in his life.

Unfortunately, up until today, that grand ambition had been nothing more than a pathetic, unreachable dream.

He had been far too incredibly weak to even survive alone inside a low-level dungeon, constantly running for his life and acting as a mere meat shield for trash parties.

He lacked the talents, and skills to do anything significant, talkless of going against a massive, world-renowned behemoth like the Roaring Lions Guild. The power gap between a useless porter and an S-rank titan had been an insurmountable wall.

Now though, everything had completely and radically changed.

With his legendary draw talent and the potential of having many weapons on the level of Excalibur, the playing field was finally leveling out.

He wasn’t the helpless loser they had cast aside anymore. He could easily gather more than enough power, systematically break past every restriction wall, and completely tear down the arrogant guild with his own hands!
