Aren saw all the elves headed his way, and he frowned. "Seems they are used to getting killed in a way."

Lucy saw that they were all coming at Aren. "What did you do?" she asked in worry.

"Killed a few of them," Aren responded and then charged ahead. Lucy heard what he said and she was confused.

"He killed them?" She locked her gaze onto Ken to see how he did it.

Ken pulled out his Ancient Devourer, his gaze scanning the field to ensure that he had everything set as it was meant to be.

Regardless of the fact that they had sold their souls, they still bled, and that meant they were consumable. The first elf launched at him. Aren slashed, but the elf disappeared midair and appeared behind Aren, thinking that it could attack from behind.

Aren weaved to the side fast, spun around, and smashed right through its gut. Blood gushed in every direction, the blade eagerly consumed it. It was not enough to awaken it, but that was the start.

The elf very quickly started healing again, only for tendrils to wrap around it and consume it. Aren bolted forward.

An elf disappeared and appeared above him, slashing down fast. Aren sidestepped and slashed up, splitting it right in two. The blade drank the blood eagerly again, tendrils grabbed the body and pulled it into the ground.

By that time, Aren was already attacking the next. His eyes glowed red as he moved, an expressionless killer under the mask. He slashed through two at the same time, their blood did the trick and immediately awakened the blade. It took its true form very quickly.

Aren pulled his hand back and attacked. The blade ripped through the air very fast, lunging into elf after elf. Some vanished and tried to attack, but Aren was faster, attacking them before they could.

The dragon head of the blade ripped through the guts of the elves fast, consuming more blood eagerly.

’I have to be done here and leave,’ Aren thought. There was no way he could handle it all this way, the pace was far too slow.

He decided to use another method. He planted his foot into the ground and his Shadow Domain spread out fast. He pressed his foot against the ground and shot forward, the domain swallowing nearly all the elves at the same time.

He moved through the domain faster than ever, using the Ancient Devourer like it was a whip. It ripped through the domain as every single elf was held in place. In only a few seconds, he was completely done with all the elves, their bodies pulled into the ground with Consume.

He stood in the domain, about to turn it off, when suddenly something shattered the domain and landed inside.

Aren looked up and there he saw two figures standing there. They were both dark elves, but they looked far better and more powerful than the normal ones that they had been dealing with.

One was a female and the other was a taller male elf. Since the domain was shattered, it vanished and now they were back on the battlefield.

Aren’s shadow sense also picked up that stronger elves had appeared as well and had gone after the group. Each member of the group was fighting at least one on their own. As for the weaker elves that remained, they stood back now that their bosses had come to help.

"How are you capable of killing my kind?" the male elf asked, his stare intense and heavy.

Aren didn’t respond, he simply looked at him with cold eyes.

"Is that so? You choose not to speak, then fine," the elf replied, and then two swords appeared in his hands. He blasted forward like a rocket, while at the same time, the female elf that had appeared here pulled a bow. It looked heavily enchanted, it was as tall as six feet or more.

The elf attacked with an overhead slash with both swords at the same time.

Aren moved fast. In one swift motion, he used the Devourer to block the attack, his eyes glowing as they met with that of the elf.

He pushed forward fast, spinning and attacking with a full slash.

The elf very quickly moved his hands to block the attack.

CLANG!

The collision threw the elf back a few feet.

The archer took the opportunity and fired a shot. It ripped through the air fast, the tip erupted in flames and soon the entire arrow.

Aren pulled one foot back and then leaned in with a very large slash. The Devourer made a full arch through the air and collided with the arrow.

BOOM!

The air trembled as flames exploded in every direction.

The male elf did not wait for the flames to die down. He burst through the flames, leaped into the air, spun around, and slashed, each slash carrying enough power to cut through rocks easily. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

Aren blocked the attack, but the elf vanished in the air, appearing right behind Aren at the right moment and thrusting.

’Too obvious.’ Aren spun around and moved to block the attack. The female elf immediately took the opportunity. She knocked her arrow in and pulled it back harder than she had before. Flames erupted from the tip before she shot, rushing down the shaft of the arrow. She let it loose before the flames got to her.

The arrow ripped through the air faster than the last. With the way Aren was focused on handling the male elf, there was no way that he would stop the arrow.

"Tch." Aren clicked his tongue and then summoned Fang, who appeared and immediately unleashed an attack that met with the arrow. The explosion that followed caused the air to tremble.

Aren blocked the attack of the male elf and before the elf could vanish, he attacked. The Ancient Devourer dug into one arm and ripped it clean off before the elf vanished.
