Starting to Gain Experience from Push-Ups
Chapter 1269 - 616
Ira let out a groan of pain.
The veins on her forehead stood out like worms, and two streams of bright red blood spurted from her nostrils, dripping down her pale chin onto her protective suit.
But her spiritual power eventually formed an invisible net, forcefully catching the Thorn Armor Pig’s base.
Bang!
The charging Thorn Armor Pig seemed to crash into an invisible rubber wall.
Its massive body was tripped by an unseen force just five meters away from Kael.
The enormous inertia caused it to roll twice on the ground, with its back full of bone spurs sparking against the surface.
In that brief moment when the Thorn Armor Pig’s belly was exposed, showing its soft underbelly as it rolled over.
"Go to hell!"
Kael tossed aside his rifle with the empty magazine and pulled out a dramatically designed large-caliber double-barreled shotgun from his waist.
He lunged forward, pressing the barrel firmly under the Thorn Armor Pig’s chin, where there were no bone spurs for protection, and pulled both triggers.
Boom!
A deafening explosion echoed.
The Thorn Armor Pig’s chin, along with half its throat, was blasted into a mess of flesh by the ferocious shotgun pellets.
Black blood splattered all over Kael like a fountain.
The massive mutant boar convulsed violently a few times, its thick limbs flailing futilely in the air.
Finally, it collapsed heavily to the ground, completely losing its vitality.
"Phew... well done!"
Roken ran over, gun in hand, excitedly kicking the boar’s corpse.
Kael, breathing heavily, wiped the foul blood off his mask and quickly turned to help the staggering Ira.
"Are you okay, Ira?"
Ira weakly shook her head and used her sleeve to wipe the blood trickling from her nose:
"I’m not going to die.
Then, she put her gas mask back on and urged:
"Hurry, cut the meat off quickly, the strong smell of blood here will soon attract other beasts."
In the distance, Pike, who had been on watch, also uncloaked and came running over excitedly.
Seeing the giant prey, the four of them let out deliberately controlled cheers from behind their masks.
"So much meat, enough for the children in the tribe to eat for a week!"
Pike excitedly pulled out a rusty Bone-cutting Knife and crouched impatiently by the boar’s leg, ready to start.
Kael also withdrew the iron knife from his waist and forcefully sliced open the boar’s soft belly.
Roken swiftly reloaded his rifle with a new magazine, holding the gun as he approached the edge of the sinkhole, cautiously scanning the surrounding darkness.
Fang Cheng stood at a high point, quietly observing the thrilling hunt below.
With perfect coordination, sharp tactics, and an extremely precise sense of timing.
Though their level of strength seemed negligible to him, the survival instincts honed on the edge of life and death were worthy of respect.
Just as Fang Cheng withdrew his gaze, considering whether to reveal himself and interact with these natives.
Buzz—
The supporting column beneath his feet suddenly resonated with a muffled vibration.
At first, the tremor was very slight, like the rumble of train tracks before the subway arrives.
But in just a couple of breaths, the tremor escalated geometrically.
The loose stones on the ground began to jump uneasily, and even the air was swept up by a suffocating fishy wind.
With sharp perception, Fang Cheng instantly sensed that something was wrong.
This was no earthquake, nor was it caused by merely one or two mutant beasts.
The frequency was so dense and the momentum so terrifying.
It was as if thousands of enormous beasts, weighing tons, were stomping madly on the wasteland in unison!
Fang Cheng’s pupils constricted sharply, as he abruptly turned his head towards the extreme north of the city’s ruins.
The Hunter Squad below also felt the ground and froze in their actions.
Kael’s hand shook, and the iron knife for cutting meat "clanged" as it fell to the ground.
He jumped to his feet, his eyes wide open under the mask.
The originally strong and burly man now trembled slightly, appearing exceptionally terrified.
Awooo—
Tssss—
Countless shrill and frenzied beast roars rolled in from the horizon, like a tsunami sweeping across the entire Wasteland World.
In Fang Cheng’s field of vision, a towering black sandstorm rose over the originally dark red sky in the far distance.
Tens of thousands of mutant beasts surged forward like an unleashed black flood.
Multilegged, scaled, flying, even some as large as heavy trucks were among them.
These monsters trampled furiously over the ruins of buildings along their path, running frantically towards the south.
They weren’t fighting among themselves, or forming any sort of ranks.
They were fleeing for their lives!
An indescribable tremendous sense of oppression, along with that sky-covering sandstorm, almost enveloped the entire city.
"Beast... Beast tide..."
Roken’s gun "clanged" as it dropped to the ground, his legs went weak, and he nearly sat down in the pool of blood.
Ira stared blankly into the distance, muttering to herself:
"Have they gone mad... What on earth happened in the north? How could there be such a massive beast tide?!"
"Run! Abandon the prey, get to the subway station!"
Kael, regardless of the blood on his hands, turned and let out a fury-filled roar.
"But the meat! Uncle, our meat!"
Pike clenched the Bone-cutting Knife in his hand, his eyes filled with blood, staring intently at the Thorn Armor Pig on the ground, his feet roots planted, refusing to move.
This was the lifeline for the tribe’s survival.
"What are you going to do with meat if you lose your life! Hide first!"
Kael wasted no words.
He stepped forward, hoisted the weak Ira with his left hand, grabbed Pike by the back of his collar with his right hand, and forcibly dragged him away from the prey.
