Strongest Hammer God
Chapter 897 - Predecessors
Kyle and the grey Seeker stopped teleporting and flew the remaining way.
After some time, Kyle noticed something that surprised him.
Formation Arrays!
Of course, the presence of Formation Arrays was nothing surprising near a military base. The surprising part was how the Energy moved around the Formation Arrays.
'That's crazy. I can't tell what most of these Formation Arrays are for! The Energy moves in such a mysterious and abnormal way, but I can also tell that these Formation Arrays are extremely efficient and powerful. This is not how bad Formation Arrays feel!' π§πβ―β―π€β―π£πβ΄πππ.ππ°π
'These Formation Arrays are insanely advanced, which is not what I expected. This world is cut off from the Supreme World. You would think that such an isolated world couldn't create such powerful Formation Arrays, but here they are!'
Most people would just be able to feel a certain kind of Energy movement when approaching a Formation Array, which wouldn't tell them a lot about the capabilities of the Formation Arrays. However, Kyle was Azure Comet. He knew a lot about Formation Arrays.
As Kyle and the grey Shield passed through one of the Formation Arrays, their bodies shone for a moment. Kyle expected someone to intercept them, but nobody arrived.
After some more flying, Kyle saw a couple of groups of Shields. Some of them were sitting together in a unit, their eyes clenched shut. Based on the Energy around them, they were currently undergoing one of the Refinements.
Some other groups were fighting against each other, but the battles weren't to the death. There were even a couple of groups that were preparing to set off.
Eventually, Kyle also saw the base itself, which was surprisingly simple and compact. There were barely any buildings. At most, there were 20 buildings, and they weren't even that big. If the buildings were constructed with worse materials, this would almost look like a small village.
Kyle also saw some Seekers belonging to the Spears occasionally, but they were not nearly as common as the Shields.
The grey Seeker escorting Kyle brought him to one of the buildings in the base and stopped in front of it. "Order: Go into the command center and follow orders. My mission ends here. I wish you success."
"Thanks, take care," Kyle answered.
The grey Seeker wordlessly left, and Kyle looked at the building in front of him.
The next moment, the door opened by itself. "Enter!" a voice commanded.
'Still not used to this strict tone,' Kyle thought as he wordlessly entered the building. The door behind him closed again, and Kyle found himself in a long corridor. Some kind of sense told him where to go, and after following the directions, he opened a door to a military meeting room.
Inside the meeting room, Kyle saw a Spirit Lord wearing a dark silver uniform. Based on the tone of the color, it seemed like this person was partly responsible for Shields and partly responsible for Spears.
The Spirit Lord looked at Kyle with a strict gaze. "Deliver the recruitment emblem," he ordered.
Kyle wordlessly took out the emblem he had received and handed it over.
The Spirit Lord looked at the emblem for a while before his eyes narrowed. A moment later, he looked at Kyle for a bit before looking back at the recruitment emblem. Afterward, he looked to the side for a bit before looking at Kyle again.
"Your designation is Black Sin Hammer 37," the Spirit Lord transmitted. His tone was still strict, but it didn't seem as intense anymore. "Forward Base 198 will take care of your conditions. Communication channels will be established, and a plan will be forged. Your mission is classified top secret and requires undercover operations. Under no circumstances are you permitted to share your mission or relevant information with anyone besides me. Is this clear?"
"I know," Kyle transmitted with a nod.
"Mission-relevant communication will happen via voice transmission exclusively. Public communication will happen in a way that protects your identity. The re-education process is skipped. Unit and team building exercises are skipped. You will not receive a Class Five Battle Rite or Mental Rite. You will receive 700 Military Merits in exchange. You will receive information relevant to your secret mission exclusively from me. Missions for your public persona will be given by your assigned commander."
"Requests for Refinement and training are to be sent to your commander, who will forward them to me. I will only grant requests that are within a reasonable limit to protect your public persona. Additional resources will be given to you secretly."
The next moment, an emblem and a light-silver uniform appeared in front of Kyle.
"Your positions will be Decimator, Magnet, and Detector. Your emblem contains a database with public and private information. Only you can access your private information. Everyone can access your public information. Private information is not to be shared. Relevant introductions and explanations are within the emblem. Read them right now and remember them. You have 30 seconds."
Kyle quickly put on his uniform and put the emblem on the left side of his chest while stretching his perception into it. He saw all the different information contained within the emblem and quickly got the gist of how it worked.
'People can see my designation, position, unit, and even the categories of my orders. Everything else is secret.'
In the emblem was also a guide that included all the relevant information for his new position:
Code of conduct, rules, standard procedures, explanations, guidelines, penalties, a rough overview of the world, common enemies, and so on. It basically had almost all of the information he needed.
However, due to his secret mission, Kyle's emblem contained even more information. For example, there was a long summary of times when teams from the Supreme World arrived.
'The oldest recorded incident was over 800 million years ago,' Kyle thought in surprise. 'Even with the tenfold time dilation, that's still 80 million years in the Supreme World! Has this world been broken for so long?'
800 million years was crazy, considering that Ascendants could only live for one million years.
There were over a hundred instances of people from the Supreme World helping Humanity.
As Kyle read through the summary, he saw some surprising things.
'Seventh group from the Grand Exchange. Contribution: Elemental Energy Conversion Principle, Advanced Energy Stone Generation. Mission failure due to longevity constraints.'
'Fifth group from the Array of Stars. Contribution: Advanced Law Well Refinement, Treasure Tracking, Momentum Principles. Mission failure due to failed assault.'
'Fourth group from Inner World. Contribution: Sacred Weaponry, Revolution of Formation Arrays, Construction of the Eight Grand Formation Arrays. Mission failure due to Demon offensive.'
'Twelfth group from the Contrast Empire. Contribution: Aspect Refinement Principles, Contrast Fusion Methods, Law Comprehension Refinements. Mission failure due to failed assault.'
'Second group from the Cult of Final Fate. Contribution: Report of Death, Balance, and Brutality, Theoretical Ways to Conjure Death, Law Diagram Picture. Mission failure due to intervention of Overseer.'
As Kyle read all of these things, he took a deep breath. 'Almost every group has contributed major things! In fact, I've only heard about half of these things, and all of them are fiercely protected secrets that the Peak Organizations use to protect their positions!'
'No wonder the Formation Arrays felt so advanced! The people from Inner World literally shared all their knowledge with the world!'
Kyle looked upward for a moment. 'Even the Cult of Final Fate has helped. It's almost like the entire Supreme World is working together to repair this world.'
'And yet, everyone failed.'
'Either we succeed...'
'Or we become one of these notes.'
