Strongest Hammer God
Chapter 908 โ Destructive Elements
A Sage with a huge shield hit the Demon beside him, throwing it to the side. ๐๐๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐ธ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ต.๐ฌ๐ค๐ข
A humongous armored Demon broke through the corpses of the Corpse Mountain below Kyle before five additional ones broke through the corpses around the first one.
Small Demons in the sky charged down in a dive.
An army of Demons encroached from the sides.
As it looked right now...
There were just as many Demons as humans, and that was a very bad thing.
Every single Demon was a Divine Beast, and every Divine Beast could fight a genius who could become Unique. For example, as a New Sage, Fierce Breaker could fight a New Sage Demon evenly. Yet, it needed a team of five normal New Sages to fight one New Sage Demon evenly.
This meant that there were currently around 2,500 Fierce Breakers attacking them.
Yet, how many Fierce Breakers were in the Shields around Kyle?
Maybe five, max ten.
There was no way they were going to survive.
Kyle narrowed his eyes as the world around him warped.
The Space, Time, and Gravity Energies in the surroundings bent to his will as he activated his Domain. The Demons around Kyle became disorganized and slower. Their speeds dropped by over 50%, and their attacks became less focused.
The Shields noticed the change and realized that not everything was lost. They had someone amongst them who could create a Domain! They didn't know who the owner of the Domain was, but they could see its effect.
Sage Demons had a strong resistance against Infused Mind Laws, but only Spirit Lord Demons could resist Domains!
The Shields engaged in a desperate battle, trying to survive until reinforcements arrived. They attacked the Demons as they tried to get as close to the center of the formation as possible. While Kyle's Domain could encompass the surroundings 25,000 kilometers, 25,000 kilometers wasn't enough to encompass the entire battlefield. Several of the Demons were over a thousand kilometers long, and they took up a huge part of the battlefield.
Sadly, while the Domain could protect the Sages from death by slowing the Demons, it couldn't increase the Sages' attacking power.
This meant that over 300 Demons broke past the barricade, and all of them charged right towards Kyle.
Swooping Demons from above. Burrowing Demons from below. Charging Demons from the side.
All exits were blocked, and Kyle wouldn't be able to survive their combined attacks.
However, Kyle had already expected that. He knew how powerful the Aura Expander was, and he knew what it meant to push it to 10% of its range.
If he believed that he would die, he would have refused the order. Technically, he couldn't refuse the order, but he would choose an investigation over certain death.
Kyle could kill an Early Demon with relative ease. If there were two, it would enter True Battle territories. Three were almost impossible to resist.
Right now, over 50 of the approaching enemies were Early Demons.
If he couldn't even resist three or four, how was he supposed to resist 50?
BANG!
Kyle swung his hammer and hit the fabric of reality. The fabric of reality shook as a wave of Repelling Gravity Energy pulsed through the surroundings.
The focused attacks lost their target. None of them would hit Kyle.
However, there were still area attacks and physical attacks.
After using Dispersal, Kyle charged towards one of the biggest approaching enemies, a humongous maggot covered in armor below him.
The maggot opened its maw as metallic teeth grew out of its mouth.
Without stopping, Kyle charged right into the open mouth, which immediately closed.
Yet, Kyle converted his Domain into one that expanded all the space around him, which led to the mouth closing much more slowly than the maggot had anticipated.
Kyle got past the teeth and entered the maggot's body. He felt the Energy of his body rapidly being dissolved. The maw of a beast could tear Energies out of every object that entered it.
However, before Kyle's body could dissolve...
BOOOOOM!
A storm of chaotic Elemental Energies covered Kyle as the maggot around him exploded. All the different area attacks had hit the maggot, destroying it in an instant. However, even though the maggot was only a New Sage Demon, all of its power had been focused on its defense.
The majority of the power of the attacks was mitigated, but Kyle could still feel his Biological Energy dropping rapidly.
Yet, as he exited the maggot's body, he also saw all the different focused attacks hitting the other Demons, killing tens of them.
Kyle swung his hammer again, hitting the fabric of reality. This time, a black hole appeared as he activated Focus. Simultaneously, Kyle also expanded the space around him.
Around 15 different area attacks flew into the black hole and came out as focused attacks before Focus collapsed.
Kyle dodged the newly focused attacks as he approached another gigantic beast. This one was a hedgehog with snakes for needles. The snakes all charged towards Kyle as a wave of chaotic Energies shot after him.
By manipulating time, space, and gravity, Kyle weaved through the attacking snakes, which all turned into dust behind him, destroyed by the chaotic Elemental Energies.
Kyle swung his hammer into the hedgehog's body, the pick of his hammer surrounded by dense Gravity Energy.
CRKSH!
The hammer broke into the gigantic hedgehog's body, and the surroundings warped. The gravity of the hedgehog lowered, its time was sped up, and its space compressed just for a moment, but a moment was enough.
Kyle continued swinging, and the hedgehog's body flew with it. Within an instant the hedgehog's body was between Kyle and the wave of Elemental Energies.
BOOOOM!
The entire hedgehog turned into dust as the wave of Elemental Energies continued, albeit weakened.
Kyle swung his hammer.
BOOOOM!
A black hole appeared in front of him as he used Focus again. The wave of Elemental Energies flew past Kyle as several condensed lasers shot at him.
However, since they didn't have any tracking properties, Kyle easily weaved past them. The lasers continued flying into the distance...
BANG! BANG! BANG!
And killed five Demons.
The black hole in front of Kyle collapsed as it lost all of its power, and the wave rushed towards him again.
Kyle spun his hammer for a moment and hit reality, a wave of gravity extending forward like a tank driving through a stream of fire. The waves were redirected to the sides, and several Demons around Kyle were turned into dust.
Yet, the pulse of gravity vanished quickly. It could only resist the attacks for so long.
By now, Kyle had used almost 50% of his Energy.
Nevertheless, Kyle once more hit the reality in front of him, creating another black hole. More lasers appeared, which killed all of the Demons behind him.
From an outsider's perspective, Kyle had just charged through a gigantic Demon while fleeing from a wave of destruction. Then, he had used another beast to keep the wave at bay before reaching the edge of the attacks. From this position, the majority of the attacks would come from one direction. As soon as he reached the position, all the beasts charging at him from behind him just started dying before they could reach him.
From the outside, it looked like Kyle was a metal sphere under a welding flame. A brutal wave of destructive Energies shot directly at him, but they just kept going around him.
Kyle hit reality again, and more lasers hit some approaching enemies behind him.
BANG!
Another wave of gravity pushed the Energies away from him.
Kyle's Energy fell to dangerous levels, and he considered retreating further, but then, he felt the Energy around him changing. He recognized this change of Energy.
He stopped attacking, and the wave of destructive Energy washed over him...
Just to be redirected by a barrier.
"Primary defenses have been set up," a woman, wearing the blue uniform of the Sects, transmitted to Kyle. "Focus on recovery."
Kyle looked around and saw a swarm of humans in grey blocking the different Demons as five people in blue built one Formation Array after the other.
Behind Kyle were countless seared and broken corpses.
The Corpse Mountain below Kyle had a new crater that extended into the actual ground. Who knew how many millennia it had been since the ground below the Corpse Mountain had seen light?
Could Kyle win against 50 Early Sage Demons?
Impossible.
However, he could survive for a while, and that was everything Humanity needed.
If Humanity could defend a large area from a chaotic assault, it could also defend a small area from a focused assault.
As long as Kyle could survive, the defenses would solidify.
Kyle released a sigh of relief when he noticed that everything had stabilized.
"That was a bit closer than I had expected."
The next moment, he glanced towards the west, and his eyes narrowed.
