Strongest Mage with the Lust system
Chapter 933: Comprehending the Thunder Rune [1]
"Oh?"
"What is it, Grandma?" asked Ryuna when she saw a surprised look in her eyes.
"That little guy really isn’t ordinary. He managed to sense something was wrong when I scanned him with my Divine Sense." the old grandma said.
"You aren’t kidding, right?" Ryuna couldn’t help but ask despite knowing her grandma wasn’t lying.
She was just having a hard time believing it, after all, she knew her grandma had mastered several mystical concealment magical spells.
There were very few people who could detect her if she wanted to hide and those who could detect her, they were all either extraordinary Emperors or Monarchs. As for King Mages and lower, even if she entered their dantian with her Divine Sense, they still wouldn’t be able to sense her.
But now she was saying Max had sensed her?
"I’m not." The old grandma shook her head, then added, "Moreover, he had relied entirely on himself to sense me, not some special magic artifact or talisman."
Ryuna looked at her and saw she was gazing at Max’s vanishing figure intently and became curious.
"Did you find out something?"
"I did." the grandma nodded.
Ryuna’s eyes lit up.
Ever since she heard the rumors about Max, a guy who had comprehended two Elemental Laws in the Mortal Realm, she had become curious about him. And this curiosity only increased when he successfully created his first talisman and in a record-breaking time at that.
Before she could ask her what she had found out, her grandma gave her a half amused and half serious look and said, "You don’t need to know it."
"..."
Ryuna’s excited expression froze on her face, then she pursed her lips. "That’s not fair—"
"Let’s go." her grandma ignored her and vanished from the place along with her.
...
Max arrived at the Violet Peak half an hour later.
Dan had already prepared a meal and was waiting for him. So, he ate with him, which flattered Dan very much.
Once they finished eating, Dan left and Max sat cross-legged in meditation. Once he had entered a focused state, he took out the memory crystal and injected his Bloodline Sense in it to comprehend the Thunder Rune.
...
The next day, Max woke up late in the afternoon, still feeling weary.
Last night, he had comprehend the Thunder Rune for hours and he wouldn’t have stopped if his mental energy wasn’t almost completely exhausted.
’I need a large supply of Spirit Replenishment Medicine otherwise I would be always running low on Mental Energy.’ he thought, rubbing his temples.
He then began meditating, hoping to recover a little more Mental Energy so he wouldn’t feel as if his head was about to explode, but after two hours, he had to stop because the returns weren’t good enough. Still, his headache had become manageable.
Right then, he sensed a fluctuation in his Identity Badge.
...
In front of the Resource Hall of the Talisman Hall, Ryuna was casually leaning against a tree, her eyes closed.
Swoosh!
Noticing someone rushing towards her, she opened her eyes and saw Max, who nodded at her in greeting.
"You sold them here?" he asked, glancing at the Resource Hall.
"Yeah. I was going to sell it through some other channel, but then I thought... why bother? So, I came here and sold them." Ryuna said. Then she waved her hand and produced 400 High Grade Mana Stones which she sent over to him.
"I sold 10 of them for Mana Stones, 40 stones per piece. And the remaining I exchanged for 70 Merit Points." she explained and took out her badge and transferred the Merit Points to him.
She had messaged him earlier, asking whether he wanted to sell all of them for Mana Stones or he wanted to exchange a few for Merit Points.
Unlike other disciples who had some Merit Points the moment they became disciples of the Hall, he didn’t have any because his entry into the Hall was through unconventional means.
And In the Beast Emperor Hall, the Merit Points were more valuable than Mana Stones. Since he had the option to convert some of his talisman into former, he chose to do it.
After he put away the Mana Stones and she finished transferring the Merit Points, he asked, "Ms. Ryuna, why didn’t you buy the things I asked you?" 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
"Because they would cost more here." Ryuna said, [Let’s go to the Trade Mountain. You can buy the things you need there.]
Max looked at her strangely.
Ryuna smiled, "Don’t worry. With me accompanying you, no one would dare attack you even if you don’t hide your identity there."
She then swept her gaze across the people watching them and sneered. "Try to follow us and see if I don’t break your legs."
Then without asking for his permission, she grabbed his hand and shot into the sky.
Max’s brows furrowed but they soon smoothened out.
’I shouldn’t underestimate anyone.’ he sighed. He had thought he had completely hidden the fact that he couldn’t use his Mana or Divine Sense at the moment, but it turned out Ryuna had noticed it at some point.
Midway, Ryuna stopped and donned a cloak.
[You also put on something to hide your face.] She transmitted, [Though I can handle the trouble that would arise if we go there without hiding our identities, it’s better if we can prevent them.]
Max nodded in agreement and put on the hooded robe he had been wearing for the past two days when traveling to the Trade Mountain.
Soon after they arrived at the mountain and Ryuna bought two masks.
[You want to buy some resources that have Pure Fire Mana, right?] she asked as they entered. After Max nodded, she took him to the middle part of the mountain where he had yet to visit until now.
There, she stopped in front of a bustling stall.
’Oh?’ Max eyes flickered. Not only were there dozens of Fire elemental resources on the stall, the stall owner wasn’t wearing a mask either.
The next instant, his brows furrowed because when the stall owner looked at them, a strange smile appeared on his face and a voice sounded in his ears.
