Mira was a little overwhelmed by everything that was happening right now. Mira had already been shocked enough when Hesabeth arrived in a majestic carriage, but when Mira actually set eyes on the stunning woman who appeared from it, Mira immediately knew that this woman wasn’t a human! Mira might not have met a lot of otherworlders, but Mira had a way of knowing whether or not someone was from Earth, and in the same way Mira knew that Riyala wasn’t from Earth, she could also tell that Hesabeth was an alien!

Hesabeth walked over to Mira, and Mira’s eyes widened as Hesbeth curtsied to her with the most perfect form that Mira had ever seen. Mira put a hand to her cheek.

"Oh my. What is all this, dear? Are you a friend of Jason’s?"

Hesabeth smiled as she stood proudly, and then she spoke:

"My name is Hesabeth, and I am Queen of the Minori and overseer of the Seventh Domain. I am a woman blessed by the world, and my existence is protected by the Primordial Expanse itself. Today, I have come here in order to pay my respects and ask your permission to become one with your son, Jason Marc. I believe I am worthy to stand by his side, and I assure you I will bring honor to your family through this union."

Hesabeth spoke in a respectful tone that Jason had never heard from her before, and he realised that this was a really big deal to her. Was this some sort of tradition in her world? Jason turned to his mother as he heard her gasp, and he laughed awkwardly when he saw that her mouth had dropped open in shock! Mira put a hand over her open mouth, and she looked from Hesabeth over to Jason and then back again! Mira’s eyes then trailed towards both Gina and Riyala, and Mira asked a serious question.

"Is this some sort of joke? Jason, are you trying to trick me?"

Mira turned to Jason with a small glare, but Jason smiled and shook his head. Once Mira saw this, she felt lightheaded, and Hesabeth had to reach out quickly to catch her before Mira could fall to the ground in a faint! Jason took a step toward Mira as well, but Mira raised her hand and said she was fine! Mira honestly didn’t know what to say anymore! Was Jason really going to marry three women!? Mira already knew that Jason was like his father, and Mira had been willing to accept Riyala into the family since Gina had also agreed to it, but having another woman join... that was too much!

At the side, Juliet, Janet, and Francis were staring at the entire scene with wide eyes! None of them dared to say a fucking word at that moment since they couldn’t even believe what they had just heard! This beautiful Queen wanted to marry Jason!? What in the world was going on! Even Juliet, who already knew that Jason was dating both Gina and Riyala, still couldn’t believe what she was hearing! Hesabeth was just so radiant! It was as if Juliet was looking at one of the princesses that she always read about in her storybooks! How in the world did Jason manage to make a woman like this fall in love with him!

"Come along."

Both Juliet and Francis were shocked when they heard Stella’s voice in their ear, and they turned to see Stella standing behind the counter. Stella was using a skill to speak to only the two of them, and she narrowed her eyes as she continued:

"This is a family matter, so I believe it is best we leave the family to discuss it alone. Please, come along."

Stella walked towards the kitchen, and after a bit of hesitation, both Francis and Juliet followed after her, and they left the family alone. But Juliet decided that she would definitely ask Riyala about all this later!

Mira put a hand to her head, and she thanked Hesabeth kindly as Hesbeth led her towards a chair and allowed her to sit down. Mira looked up at the four people standing in front of her. Jason had a perfectly calm look on his face, but Gina and Riyala both looked slightly worried about the entire situation. Hesabeth was also calm, but Mira could sense that there was a slight nervousness in Hesabeth at that moment. Hesabeth walked forward, and Mira was shocked when Hesabeth knelt daintily and sat at Mira’s feet. Every single person in the room gasped, and the Minori soldier who had been holding the whisper stone almost dropped it in shock! But the soldier just managed to catch it, and he quickly stood straight again while turning away from the scene respectfully! The soldier understood the importance of this custom, and he knew it was normal for a new wife to kneel to their mother-in-law, but he was just so shocked because he never thought he would see the day his Queen would kneel to anyone! Mira was about to tell Hesabeth to please get up, but Hesabeth just smiled and spoke.

"I understand this is not customary here on Earth. Jason has told me much about his world and his family. So I am aware that this is a selfish request, and one that I do not believe I deserve to make. But yet, I still wish for you to accept me into your family. I... I do not have the fondest memories of my own mother. I never could accept the woman who birthed me as my mother, so rather than her, I think I would prefer to have you bless my marriage. If it is you, I would be happy to call you mother."

Mira felt a small tremor passing through her heart when she saw the beautiful smile on Hesabeth’s face, and she gave Hesabeth a kind smile as she caressed her cheek gently. If it had been any other person, Hesabeth would have hated them touching her like this, but for some reason, she did not mind Mira treating her like a mother would treat their child. Even though Hesabeth was many centuries older than Mira, there was just something that Mira had as a mother that forced Hesabeth to acknowledge her as her elder.

Mira let out a small sigh as she thought about whether something like this would really work. Mira knew that she had also entered into a similar relationship with Richard, but the reason why her relationship had worked for so long was because Mira didn’t see many of her sister-wives. Mira had spent about twenty years with Richard, and in that time, she had only met one of her sister-wives. It had been a beautiful meeting, but Mira couldn’t judge how things would have been if she had spent more days with her other sister-wives as well. Would they have really gotten along?

"I don’t know if I truly support this. Are you all sure that this is what you want? You are young, and I understand that you love each other. But you need more than just love if you want a relationship like this to work. You need to understand each other, and you must accept that this is a lifetime commitment. You cannot go into it if you aren’t ready to do that."

Mira looked up at Riyala, Gina, and Jason, and Gina smiled as she came over and knelt on Mira’s other side before sitting at Mira’s feet and putting her hands on Mira’s lap. Gina smiled before she nodded to Mira.

"We’re sure, mom. We’ve all spoken about it, and I know we can make it work. We all love Jason, and we also understand what sort of relationship this is. We’re ready to stay with each other for the rest of our lives."
