Strongest Nova: Path of Vengeance
Chapter 159: History of Valor
The world used to be a normal world until 89 years ago. It was still far more advanced than the town Stanley had lived in, but compared to the current world, it looked almost ancient.
The world was then split into over 50 countries, with 4 important ones. Eyland, Voras, Scargos, and Dardar.
The world was normal for the most part, except for the emergence of knowledge about Novas. Some 200 years ago, the government of Scargos had managed to find someone who could explain the weirdness of a few individuals, who also happened to coin the term, Nova.
For 40 years, they had managed to keep it a secret. However, about 170 years ago, fragments of the interview were leaked to the world. It was then that the regular people found out what a Nova was.
And it was then that the Novas figured out how they could get stronger.
The following fights between Novas and the rest of humanity were quite daunting and had left a lot of them dead. With the idea of farms where humans could be bred in captivity to make a Nova stronger, Novas were also very much hated at that point.
The fight against Novas and other similarly awakened individuals accelerated, peaking around 120 years ago, and finally slowed as some form of normalcy returned to the world.
However, just as everything seemed like it was going fine, in the marsh between what was then Scargos and Dardar, a group of geologists had managed to find a surprising object that seemed to hold a lot of power.
It was a scarlet object that was extremely volatile and could explode if one wasn’t careful. After a few years of experimentation, around 110 years ago the existence of the object was gone and made available to all the governments in the world.
They made it known just how useful the object was, how dangerous it was, and just how much of a powerhouse it could make one’s country. As such, no country found it safe to leave the natural object in one mining location.
As such began the war that destroyed the old world and brought in the new one.
The war for Plasmium, the most highly sought-after element in all of Valor.
Countries went to war against one another. Civil war wrecked many other countries. Most small countries were swallowed up by the big ones.
Regimes changed, and monarchs were killed.
The land of Voras broke into 30 different pieces, each individually governing during the war.
The Kingdom of Sargos and the Kingdom of Dardar fought until neither remained.
The Kingdom of Sargos in the east broke to become Wuglos in the south and Barson in the north. The Kingdom of Dardar became Pandene, losing a portion of land in the north in the process.
The Country of Eyland broke up due to a civil war. The country that consisted of a small portion of the mainland and 2 islands ended up becoming 3 separate countries
The mainland became Franoss, and the two islands became Komos in the south and Eyland in the north.
To the south of Wuglos, the islands of Tarak and Hyling were unaffected by the war, and so was Jondas, the easternmost island of the land.
The broken kingdom of Voras, however, took some time to collect itself together and became the United Voras, a collection of multiple smaller self-governing pieces of land that came together to form a semblance of a country.
Then, to take care of the main cause of all the problems, the Plasmium, they all came together to form a group to look over it.
The people settled here and started a city, becoming the city of Starhall, a land governed by all, and at the same time governed by none.
The war for Plasmium ended 90 years ago, and at this time, the breakthroughs in the usage of Plasmium had ushered the world into a new era. With new countries and new technology, the old world was gone and the new, modern world had taken over Valor.
Stanley lay on his bed, hearing all of this information with pictures moving around on the floating screen.
He had asked for a brief history of the world and all that had led it to become what it was today. He took a few moments to take in the information and wondered what he wanted to learn next.
"What is plasmium? What exactly are its usage?" he asked.
The red element appeared on the screen again. "Plasmium is an element with a terrific amount of energy condensed inside of it in a plasma state. It is believed that plasmium was created during the impact of a large celestial body when it crashed onto Valor many billions of years ago."
"A piece of plasmium as large as a grain of rice has more energy than that can be produced by burning 20 tons of coal. It is used for everything nowadays, from running your watch, powering a car, to giving power to buildings and arming weapons."
"The scientists have learned how to make the energy inside of it stable, and as a result, it had become a household object that produces super clean energy without having to make many compromises."
"With the amount of Plasmium that is projected to be inside the Plasmium mine, it is safe to say that we will have no problems of regarding power for the next 500 years at the very least."
Stanley continued learning more about the plasmium and the examples of where it was used. He was surprised to see just how much it was used in everyday objects in the outside world.
Almost everything in this world needed power to run, and Plasmium was the simplest source of power that one could use.
Once Stanley was done learning about Plasmium, he moved on to something that interested him just as much as it did about Plasmium.
"Hey room," he called out. "Can you give me a brief explanation and history of what exactly a Nova is?"
