Super Soldier in the City
Chapter 2349 - 2413: Everyone Has Kidney Deficiency
"Um... sir, what happened to me?" Seeing Li Yifei let go and feeling better himself, Brother Wang couldn’t help but ask.
The others were also watching in confusion from the side. Li Yifei smiled and said, "Nothing much, just felt something was off with your health. Have you been feeling unwell recently?"
"A bit, sometimes my body aches. Sometimes it’s my chest, sometimes it’s my leg, and other times my arm." Brother Wang said blankly!
Li Yifei nodded and said, "For the time being, don’t go out to sea. There’s some cool air in your body; you need to rest up a bit. Here, take some medicine to strengthen your blood and energy!" In truth, he had already eliminated the source of the problem, so it wouldn’t be an issue anymore. But saying so would sound too unbelievable to them, so that’s why he said it this way.
Upon hearing this, Brother Wang hurriedly nodded and said, "Okay, okay, I’ll just take a few days off. There’s a typhoon coming these days, so resting is good."
Hearing this, the Wang Family also breathed a sigh of relief. Seeing Li Yifei’s expression earlier, they thought something had happened.
After saying goodbye to the Wang Family, Li Yifei and Chen Junxiao got into Hu Yu’er’s car. She drove herself and didn’t go straight back to her place, but detoured a bit to visit Chen Junxiao’s parents’ grave.
The grave was just beside the village. Spatially speaking, it wasn’t far from where Li Yifei went to sea, just a detour. The car stopped, the little girl took out wine and cigarettes, went to the grave, knelt down, set up food, wine, and cigarettes, lit the cigarettes, said some words, and kowtowed three times. Li Yifei and Hu Yu’er walked over, said some words, and the three of them returned to the car.
Li Yifei didn’t ask Hu Yu’er how she would deal with those people, but he knew she wouldn’t let them off lightly.
Half an hour later, they returned home. Hu Yu’er busied herself arranging where the little girl would stay, while Li Yifei relaxed, picking up a banana on the sofa and eating it.
After settling down, Li Yifei picked up a new phone that Hu Yu’er had someone buy, swapped in his card, and contacted his family. Seeing Li Yifei going to call his family, Hu Yu’er sighed slightly, which meant Li Yifei was leaving.
"It’s such a rush," Hu Yu’er said. But it’s good he’s leaving; she also had things to deal with.
After finishing the call, Li Yifei returned to see Hu Yu’er’s subordinate entering, carrying a large box in his arms, placing it on the table, and saying, "Miss, this is from Chen..."
"From now on, call her Second Miss!" Hu Yu’er interjected.
"Yes, Second Miss, this was searched out from your uncle’s house. The two confessed that most of the things here were left by your parents, with only a small part being theirs. But I brought everything back for you to sort through!"
Upon hearing they were left by his parents, Chen Junxiao’s eyes lit up, quickly standing and moving to the box, thanking the uncle, and then opening the box.
The box was locked, but had been opened. Removing the lock, Chen Junxiao lifted the lid to reveal many items inside, though mixed and cluttered. Aside from some photos, there were several objects of varying sizes resembling antiques.
Chen Junxiao wasn’t interested in these; she had no impression of them, but she was very eager for the photos, as they were of her parents or family.
Hu Yu’er and Li Yifei both looked on as the little girl took out item after item. When Chen Junxiao was about to remove the antiques, Li Yifei suddenly stopped her: "Junxiao, don’t touch it yet."
"Hmm?" Chen Junxiao paused and looked back at him. Li Yifei immediately stood up, walked two steps to the front of the table, and, frowning, examined the antiques in the box.
"What’s wrong?" Hu Yu’er also stood up and walked over, seeing Li Yifei’s peculiar expression, she asked.
"Something’s off with these things!" Li Yifei said.
"Off? How are they off?" Hu Yu’er looked at the oddly-shaped antiques, full of confusion.
Li Yifei found it difficult to answer but just felt something was wrong. He pulled Chen Junxiao back a bit and said, "I can’t explain it right now. It’s just a feeling. Don’t touch them, and stay away!"
Li Yifei then turned to the person who had brought the box in, asking, "Did you touch these things?"
"Sir, I didn’t touch them, but one of my colleagues did. Some of these items weren’t originally here; they were added after organizing!" the person replied.
"Go and call that person over!" Li Yifei said.
Hu Yu’er and Chen Junxiao didn’t understand why Li Yifei was saying this, but neither spoke. When that subordinate came in, Li Yifei asked, "You touched these antiques?"
"Sir, I did," the person answered.
Li Yifei nodded and continued, "What did it feel like?"
"Are you asking about the material? I’m not sure, but they felt very cold, almost icy to the touch, and I didn’t wear gloves, so I quickly put them in the box," the person replied.
Li Yifei nodded and said, "Put out your hand, let me check your pulse."
"Okay!" The other party immediately extended his hand, and as Li Yifei pressed his fingers on the pulse, True Qi entered. The person’s body appeared ordinary, but as Li Yifei sent the True Qi along two main channels, he quickly discovered an anomaly in the person’s Foot Yangming channel—a very sinister energy. When Li Yifei found this energy, his heart skipped a beat. Normally, he wouldn’t find anything too odd, but this energy clearly matched the energy inside Brother Wang from the Wang Family. When it came into contact with his True Qi, this energy was immediately extinguished.
Strange, could it be due to the weird-looking antique? Li Yifei thought to himself, releasing his grip. The person asked, "Sir, did you diagnose my illness? If so, please don’t hide it from me."
"Did you feel anything in your body just now?" Li Yifei asked.
"Not really, just felt like something was running through my blood vessels. Oh, right before you let go, I felt pain in my foot, like a nerve suddenly hurt."
"This foot?" Li Yifei pointed at the person’s left foot and asked.
"Yes, sir, how did you know?"
"Your body is somewhat weak. Take some supplements and exercise more regularly!" Li Yifei advised.
"Oh, thank you, sir, I’ll definitely keep exercising!" The person nodded immediately.
Hu Yu’er who was watching from the side covered her mouth and laughed. After the person left, she said, "Li Yifei, I didn’t expect you could diagnose illnesses!"
"A little bit!" Li Yifei nodded.
"That’s great, can you check mine? You always talk about body weakness. I think I may also have it." Hu Yu’er said.
Li Yifei glanced at her, knowing she’s just joining the fun, but seeing Hu Yu’er extend her hand, Li Yifei still nodded and said, "Wait a moment."
He turned to close the box. This thing was somewhat sinister; he felt there might be something inside these oddly shaped antiques, but he wasn’t fully recovered to check. After closing the box, he said to Chen Junxiao, "These antiques are quite interesting. Uncle will study them first and return them to you later!"
"Okay, uncle, what about the photos?"
"You keep the photos, I’ll return the antiques after studying!" Li Yifei replied.
Chen Junxiao quickly nodded, keeping the photos. Meanwhile, Hu Yu’er had already waited with her hand extended, so Li Yifei pointed to the sofa and said, "Sit over there, I’ll check your pulse properly."
Hu Yu’er’s skin was very white and delicate; the feel was great, smooth, with a faint fragrance, very refreshing. Li Yifei sniffed and asked, "The perfume smells good, what’s the brand?"
"Haha!" Hu Yu’er laughed, leaving Li Yifei puzzled until she said, "My perfume is a peak masterpiece of domestic products."
"So what is it?"
"SIXGOD!" Hu Yu’er said.
"SIXGOD?" Li Yifei repeated and then, understanding dawned, he said, "Oh, Liushen! The scent is indeed impressive, very refreshing and invigorating."
Hu Yu’er giggled and said, "A mosquito bit me in the village, so when I came back, I rubbed some Liushen. Who knew its scent was so strong, covering my original perfume smell."
"Not too strong, just right!" Li Yifei said, as he extended his hand onto Hu Yu’er’s wrist, who stopped speaking but had a smile on her face, seeming to think Li Yifei didn’t truly know medicine and was just bluffing, otherwise why always say ’kidney weakness’ for men once they reach a certain age, whether they have it or not!
As the hand pressed down, Hu Yu’er kept her breathing steady, and Li Yifei was indeed seriously diagnosing her, although he wasn’t too knowledgeable!
A minute later, Li Yifei withdrew his hand and said lightly, "Your health... is indeed not very good."
"Haha, so what did my benefactor see?" Hu Yu’er asked with a smile.
"You have heavy coldness in your body, cold nature and weak organs, so even during proper summer, you don’t feel too hot. Of course, you still sweat, but if you blow air conditioning, you might feel uncomfortable, feeling the body’s temperature alternating." Li Yifei said, observing Hu Yu’er’s changing expression, he asked, "How do you know? Did someone tell you?"
Li Yifei shook his head and continued, "It’s partly due to cold nature, but on the other hand, your lifestyle is irregular, coupled with lacking... life, making every month unstable."
"Lacking what?" Hu Yu’er asked without understanding, but immediately realized and felt her cheeks flush, blushing brightly, looking very cute.
