Super Sweet, 100\% Honeymoon
Chapter 1230 - 1225: Decision (3)
It wasn’t until he got in the car, surrounded by a group of people, that the President noticed there was a little tagalong behind Chi Cheng.
"You’re An Ran, right?"
An Ran was indeed a top student originally, and her English was very good.
But when it came to really communicating with foreigners, her English became halting, "Yes, Mr. President, hello."
The President nodded, and his attitude towards An Ran was clearly not as enthusiastic as it was towards Chi Cheng.
The car drove into the President’s Mansion, and for the whole day, An Ran was completely captivated by everything around her.
Nearing evening, a servant suddenly knocked on the door and then walked in, "Miss An Ran, this was sent by Mr. President for me to pass on to you."
An Ran put down her juice and took it, "What’s this...?"
"Mr. President instructed me to accompany you shopping; you can take this and enter any mall freely, buying anything you like."
Really?
An Ran hurriedly returned the card, "Thank you, but no, I don’t have anything I want to buy."
"You shouldn’t say that." The servant smiled slightly, "It’s a rare trip to D Country; it would be such a pity not to go out shopping."
An Ran turned to look at Chi Cheng beside her.
Chi Cheng: "Go ahead."
He had many things to do next and might not be able to take care of this girl.
So letting the servant take her out to shop and have fun wouldn’t be a bad idea.
Her brother said so, and An Ran obediently nodded, following the servant out.
-
After An Ran left, the faint smile on Chi Cheng’s lips gradually faded.
He looked aside at the custom suit delivered by Mayer’s President’s personal assistant fifteen minutes ago, a subtle light flowing in his eyes.
The assistant was standing next to Chi Cheng at that moment, with head bowed, respectfully, "Young master, Mr. President asks you to change into this suit and go to the study to see him; he has something to discuss with you."
Chi Cheng stood up, "Let’s go."
"Your clothes haven’t..."
Chi Cheng seemed to have anticipated something, with his hands in his pockets, said calmly, "I have no need to change into this suit."
The assistant hesitated for a moment, ultimately dared not to force Chi Cheng to do anything, and could only lead the way ahead, "Please follow me this way."
The President’s Mansion was very grand; from where Chi Cheng was staying, following the assistant through the splendid corridors, bypassing the enormous back garden, after a full ten minutes, they finally arrived at the study door.
The assistant knocked on the door, and after receiving a response from the President, he opened the door for Chi Cheng and waited at the entrance.
Chi Cheng walked in and saw the D country flag inserted behind the desk not far away.
The President was sitting there, wearing glasses, and upon seeing Chi Cheng, he eagerly greeted him, "Child, sit down. Why didn’t you wear the suit the servant prepared for you?"
Chi Cheng lowered his eyes, nonchalantly tidying his cuffs, "Because I absolutely won’t be attending tonight’s marriage alliance banquet."
The President’s face momentarily turned sour, "You..."
Chi Cheng gently smiled, his eyes having seen through everything, fell coldly on the President, "You deliberately sent An Ran away to arrange the marriage alliance banquet for me tonight, didn’t you?"
This was something Chi Cheng accidentally overheard the servants talking about this afternoon.
To consolidate politics, the D country President had always intended to have an alliance marriage with noble forces.
Only the D country’s President, although already married, has remained childless.
